We came to Corner Grille on a Friday evening. This place is conveniently located just outside of our Mableton home boundaries. The inside is cute, not pretentious. Jaylen was very nice and attended to our needs, immediately when we walked in and throughout the service. I ordered fish and shrimp with rice and broccoli, my husband ordered pork chop with mashed potatoes. The food came out hot! It was definitely fresh to order. Everything was well seasoned, the shrimp was a little salty and the rice was a little overcooked but all in all 8.5/10. We also had a margarita and he had Uncle Nearest on the rocks.. love they had uncle nearest. We will definitely be back.

Kale salad absolutely fresh beautiful and delicious. Annette was exceptional with service.

I'll give it 5 when I delve into the trenches. This is a new experience and restaurant for me to review. I passed this spot so many times on the way I'm towards home. I am equally impressed and cannot wait to review again. It is great for locals who live in the area.

If you have read my reviews before, one of the most important things to me is consistency. This place has it down - first the environment here is very pleasant, music -not loud - and your greeted quickly, and seated if your there on a night when it's no packed - it's a busy place. Blair was our sever on this most recent visit - she was friendly and treated us like she was genuinely happy we were there...and she's knowledgeable about the food and how it's prepared- that means so much when your trying to decide. So on this return visit we had Fried Catfish - equally as delicious as the last time, seasoned and crisp...I ordered Shrimp and Grits this time - OMG!!!! Those grits were creamy, buttery and there was plenty of shrimp. And i highly recommend the shrimp and corn fritters as a starter -think - a well seasoned hush puppy with corn and a dipping sauce that kicks it on over the top. If you're looking for something delicious on the upper west side - stop in here.

I had an amazing experience at The Corner Grille. I was looking for an early dinner option close to where I live. I always ride past so I decided to take this opportunity to try. I tried the Fritters, Fried Oysters, Lamb Shank, and Beignets. Everything was great, I cleared my Lamb Shank plate as it was the perfect meal for the weather. The beignets, with the praline and raspberry sauce on the side, were an amazing treat. I've had plenty of beignets but these were the best so far. The service was also amazing. We were seated right away and our waitress made us feel very welcomed. The space is a great ambiance as well.

I'll start by saying that the owner Julian was a great host the night that I went. It was during the snow and Ice disaster and many restaurants were closed. He suggested that I try the Catfish and grits which were extremely seasoned. It is a bone-in catfish, which is fine by me. If you don't like bones , don't order it. My guest ordered the shrimp and grits . Other than that, I ordered a bourbon on ice and my guest ordered the French 75. The atmosphere is good and it can be a good date night spot because the table decor and atmosphere are nice. They have a bar and television's as well. The patio is probably really nice on warm days, but the patio is also covered so I'm guessing they have it available during the colder months and rainy season . The price is very reasonable considering the quality of the food. Our food was made fresh.

The Corner Grille is a small comfortable restaurant. Jalen, our waiter was excellent. There were 6 of us. He didn't write down anything and remembered everything! My salmon was cooked to perfection. The food was well seasoned and scrumptious.l

This was place is too cute! I can't wait to go back! Black own biz showing out! Well seasoned food! Great service. Lovely ambiance! Everything about it was giving exactly what it was supposed to. That calamari babyyyyy. Usually I go for a crunch but that sweet chilli sauce was soo bomb I didn't even need it to be crispy because flavor was on point . The French toaasstttt . Listen here. The way I demolished that thang!! Sheesh. Bread . Crisp. Sugar . Sweet. Ahh too many words yet no words at all. Simply amazing! That gumbo bowl thingy. Chile i don't remember what it was called but it was that just right level of spicy and goooddttt Last but certainly not least dem Beignets came straight out of Princess Tiana's kitchen Mkk. HOT and Fresh! I couldn't put em down! Drinks was at the right drank level if you know what I mean and yeaa show love to the Corner Grille! It's Worth it!

I had the shrimp and grits dish. It was delicious! Perfectly spiced. The ambiance is great. Very clean, perfectly lit space. Service was great also. No complaints. A positive experience overall!

    At the bar

You absolutely have to visit this hidden gem! The staff is amazingly knowledgeable. Everything I ordered was delicious. Had the gumbo and seafood pasta that was enough to last me another meal. Pricing is fair. The cocktails are actually amazingly good. And they check in to see if you like it or not and willing to remake (make it more acidic or sweet). It's going to be my new SPOT!

*This review is for the Upper Westside location* The Corner Grille is a neighborhood gem!!!! I've been so many times so this review is long overdue!! The space is inviting and quaint. It boasts a nice size covered and uncovered patio. The decor is clean and simple. Love the single rise bud on the tables (I love roses). The food: the grouper over root vegetables is a must try!!! My husband loves this dish. Also try the kale and beet salad and the salmon Opelousas. So good!. I've also had the crab Benedict and the seafood omelette from the brunch menu. Parking: free parking. Can be limited depending on the time you visit. I typically go early so I've had no issues. Service is great! Everyone is helpful. Shaliah was my server on several occasions. She's nice. They rolled out RSVP for the westside location. Make sure you visit soon! Great addition to the Riverside/Bolton side of town!

Perfect evening out from start to finish! We walked in and immediately felt welcomed. We were very impressed at how seamlessly the staff worked as a team, attentive to all guests, even as the restaurant filled up with a Friday night crowd. It's an art to check in with guests gracefully - and to time each course perfectly- and they have mastered it. My Paloma was delicious! The best cocktail I have had since we moved to Atlanta- graced with fresh orange & lime wedges and a spicy Cajun rim. I usually don't like a rim but this one changed my mind. We ordered the fried Brussels sprouts which came with lemon and a dip- they were crispy and NOT greasy, which immediately signaled that we had found a kitchen operating at the highest standards. My salmon salad was delicious- the salmon was juicy and moist inside, complementing the sweet mandarins, and fresh salad - the flavor blend was so satisfying. I let my husband share - now, that's love. My husband loved his po'boy- again, not greasy and the fish was moist & flavorful. We finished up with beignets- came to our table exactly when we were ready for them, and they were hot, fresh - and let me say it again -- not greasy, the dough was authentic, and not sweetened, all the sweetness came from the powdered sugar, as it should. As we were leaving we spoke to a couple at a nearby table, locals who wanted to know how we liked our meal. So, there's substantial- and well-earned- local pride. We will be back. And we definitely want to check out their brunch.

Our daughter spent the first few minutes waving at the staff, and they genuinely lit up every time -- such a warm, welcoming vibe right from the jump. Starters We kicked things off with the she‑crab soup, and that's when we knew the meal was going to be special. Tons of rich crab flavor and chunks of crab. The crispy shrimp toast was another hit -- crunchy, savory, and a great pairing with the soup. We also ordered the Baker's Dozen oysters, chef's selection. All 13 were fresh, clean, and briny in the best way. Next up: the Spanish octopus, and honestly... top five octopus dish we've had. Cooked perfectly -- tender, melt‑in‑your‑mouth texture. The salsa macha added just the right amount of heat, and the marcona almonds brought a great crunch with the cilantro, lime, and mint brightening everything up. What a beautifully composed dish. We finished with the Halibut and Lady peas. The Halibut was topped with lobster and served with a lobster butter sauce, chives, and capers. Rich, buttery, flaky, and perfectly cooked. The lady peas (fava beans, asparagus, and a generous mound of blue crab) were another standout. So much flavor, but everything complemented each other instead of competing. One of those sides you keep looking for more of when it's gone. --- Overall Every dish was thoughtful, balanced, and executed at a high level. Service was warm and genuinely kind -- especially with our little one. 10/10 would recommend

Over the years we've seen things decrease especially at the optimist. The hosts were great and they always give us great service but the food had been the lacking the last couple of services where the she crab soup lacked crab, the swordfish over cooked multiple times. This time in particular we ordered the whole lobster and was offered to have it taken out of the shell for us. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND. When we got the lobster we got a full tail but one claw and no knuckles. When we addressed with the server, she argued with us that that's how a lobster is and that there could be more meat hidden on the plate. It felt like she thought we were there to just get more food by saying "so what do you want, more meat" but if we had it in the shell we would have received our full portion. The manager on duty tried to make it up to us by comping the lobster but it was more than that. After going back and forth with the server we just wanted the check to leave. The manager on duty insisted to give us the lobster and take it home. The server wasn't very polite and argued with us about the lobster. I wish I remembered the servers name With that said, the amount of money we have spent there over the years, it's unfortunate that that will be our last time going to the Optimist.

There's probably 8 or so booths for seating and stools at the bar. We ordered whiting basket, hushpuppies and catfish sandwich basket. The fish and the hushpuppies are the stars of everything! The fries did not have any salt or seasoning at all which is weird since they are called cajun fries on the menu. They only have bottled water and all draft drinks cost $2 per refill. It's in a shopping center so there are plenty of parking, but you may not be able to park close to where you want to walk to the door to because there are so many other spots there. But the parking is free in Buckhead. So that's a plus! There's spaces inside and outside for you to go to, so that's good, but the inside is very nice and decorated very well. They have TV so you can watch sports but it's not a sports bar so don't get that confused. The bar is a nice size and set it pretty well. Not billions of bottles but just enough to what you need. Dean was my my server and bartender, super good customer service, very warm and communicative, and I would have come back just to sit at the bar with him again. The ball is very well kept and very clean, but the whole establishment was as well. They have a lot of space by the bar and to the other side of the restaurant as well. The menu is predominantly seafood related but they have other things as well. But they have a couple things that look like. They should be really really good so I am going to have to double back! Calamari - The calamari was pretty good. It came out really fast so it makes me think that they were already cooking by the time I ordered LOL. But it had a sweet chili sauce to it, but the calamari seem to be crispy and seasoned enough to where it wasn't a requirement. Brussel sprouts - brussel sprouts for good, kind of wish they had more of them but they were still pretty tasty. Overall. They had the vinaigrette flavor so I know that they were cooked well. They were more firmed and mushy so that was good. I would get them again and I was see. Can I get a full order instead of just a side order because they were just that good. Old bay fries - The Old Bay fries were okay. They had that sodium to where you needed ketchup to kind of bring the sweet. But they were still good though regardless. Shrimp tacos - these were good. Had 3 large shrimp. Got mine blackened and they were just the right amount of taste and flavor. The sauce on it was a little much but that was okay though, it balanced out all of the spice for the peppers and the shrimp seasoning. Gumbo - the gumbo was pretty good and it came in a large bowl, more than you would think a cup would be. Savory and tasty. Overall, with the quality of the food and the customer service, I feel like this place definitely deserves my attention again. The first time I went in I only had a couple of appetizers, and that really didn't do it justice.

We had a 5:30 reservation and noticed many empty tables even though guests were waiting. By the time we left around 7:00, the line extended into the parking lot while tables inside were still empty. It appeared there simply wasn't enough wait or kitchen staff to handle the Restaurant Week demand. I also didn't see much value in the approximately $15 premium entrée upgrade compared with regular menu prices. Overall, the food and service at our table were excellent. Food: 5/5 We decided to try a leisurely lunch. The menu is not large, but it has enough variety to be interesting. Everything we tried was delicious. The smoked salmon appetizer portion was large, but the best part was the great flavor. I can see why this choice has been on the menu for years. The Vidalia onion soup will be a surprise for the non-Georgians who expect it to be similar to a savory beef broth like French onion soup. Georgia's onions from the Vidalia area are sweet and tasty enough to carry the soup without the help of a meat broth and the green pesto sauce offers a nice additional touch. The salmon on fresh salad was done perfectly. The panka-crusted cod with mashed potatoes and spinach was outstanding. Both were seasoned so lightly that the true flavors shone through. The portions were generous enough that dessert at the time would have been too much, but others can do as we did and take home one of the dessert choices. Next time we plan to try their sandwiches which looked yummy at other tables. Service : 5/5 Service was excellent from the pleasant greeting, through the entire meal. Our server, Clayton, couldn't have been more helpful with the menu, as well as being very efficient and amiable. He made sure our food was served promptly and our beverages glasses were full, and our requests were met quickly. Facility: The facility lends itself to the riverside experience from the canoe in the entryway ceiling to the flowers and bird feeders just beyond the patio tables.
