Not sure how I feel about my experience w/Mint. I waited over 30 mins for my appt, (i arrived 15 mins early). My cleaning was done even though I told them I came in for pain and she said nobody told her as she kept hitting the tooth. When it was time to deaden my mouth she stuck me with that needle and I almost came up out of the chair from the pain and the Dentist said Sorry but its going to hurt. Then when the Dentist pulled my teeth she kept telling me how she couldn't get the tooth out and never ask for help just kept pulling and tugging on my tooth/mouth (both of them). Four days later I am still in pain and I believe this is from the rough handling I experienced. I had heard soo many excellent things about Mint but it just wasn't my first experience. My husband got his teeth cleaned a few months back and I really liked the staff. The dentist did a great job on cleaning his teeth, keeping the kids entertained with Netflix and tablets you can check out, and informing us on what she was doing as she did it. Needless to say I'm back today to get mine done. My experience however was not good. They took forever and didn't let me know it was going to be that long. There for over 3 in a half hours. This is the first time I have visited this place. I had an appointment this morning at 8 am. I was the first person there at 7:50. I watched 3 people get called back before me. It's 8:20 and I finally ask the receptionist what is going on? They were having difficulty with my paperwork, which is fine. But someone could have communicated that to me, especially if I have been waiting for 30 minutes. Also, both of these receptionists seemed like they didn't want to be there. I go to the dentist every 6 months. I went 6 months ago, to a dentist I have been seeing for 18 years. My teeth were fine, no cavities, no need for any upcoming dental work. I have only had a cavity once before and it was ten years ago. I went into MINT with no problems to report. They take a look at my teeth and tell me I have 3 cavities and that my sealants are broken. Also, they did not show me my X-rays (which i realized later). Then the payment guy comes up telling me my payment options. Tells me "your insurance will cover this much, if you get a filling today, ill deduct this much from you copay." I tell this guy that I have a insurance credit card that I didn't have on me (Because I was not expecting them to say I need work done) and he says he will wave the copay. This seemed so fishy to me. First you tell me you will charge $400, then $200, and tell me $0? It seemed as if he was just trying to make sure they got any money from my insurance TODAY that they could. THIS WAS A SALES ATTEMPT. Which is so strange to me to encounter while just trying to take care of my dental health!!!! I don't even think I needed this work, after everything that happened I think they just wanted my insurance money. I feel scammed. I am glad I talked them out of giving them any of my money. Please be careful in giving this place any of your money Also, my teeth don't look or feel as cleaned as they usually are when I leave my usual dentist. And when they did my fillings they dropped pieces in my mouth which i read happened to someone else, too. It is now two weeks since I got these "cavities filled" and now those teeth hurt. I did not have any tooth aches before i went to this MINT dentistry!!! I get them filled and now they hurt!!!! I would give this place negative stars if I could! I will NOT be coming back to the dentist... any of them. We show for an appointment and have been waiting for over an hour. I left work to get my son from school, to sit here. I scheduled this appointment with time to spare before picking up my other children, to end up being late to get my kids. This is unacceptable for anyone to be this behind, yet alone a business. It's inconsiderate for a customer time, time my son and I will never get back. Any the icing, a young lady came in 20 minutes after us and called to the back before us. I went to the front desk to ask how that was possible, they said they'd get with me in a minute but never did. Don't waste your time here and I will be canceling my other kids appointment. They state that they'll charge you $50 for not showing up, how about you pay me $50 for my time? And a second person has gone to the back that came in after me. PISSED is an understatement read more

I drive an hour to go to this location. Open on Saturdays which is awesome for me. The people at this location are very friendly professional and caring. I went to the mockingbird location and had a horrible experience. Scared to stay with mint, i went ahead and took another chance but out here in cedar hill. They made up for it. Always very pleasant. The only reason they didn't get all 5 stars is I waited a long time. I went in for a cleaning and extraction. I was actually only there for a little over two hours but the waiting and cleaning was 1.5 and extraction only 30 mins! It's the best extraction experience ever though. The male doctor (can't remember his name unfortunately) was awesome. Gentle and patient with me, knowing I was terrified. The girls that aided were sweet and friendly always telling me what was going to happen next etc. Shockingly I don't even have pain a day later. Thank you guys!!!! read more

Got a filling & my teeth hurt worst than before I came in. Was told to keep coming back to get adjustments. Have never visited a dentist that cant do a filling. The price changes according to how fast you can book appt. A big scam! Want people to think they are getting a deal because they provide music & newly decorated office. I want quality work! After the 3rd time and 3rd different dentist the discomfort was finally resolved and I scheduled my next cleaning 6 months out. I came here because i have always heard D.D on K104 speak about their good prices but i went in due to server mouth pain that i was having with 2 of my side teeth an they CHARGED ME $100 JUST TO DO AN EXRAY ON 2 TEETH.....$100 NOT FOR A FULL MOUTH EXRAY but for only 2 freakin teeth........seriously..... K104 is promoting this bullshit lke they do and its not at all what they make it out to be.....i turned around the next day an a known dentist office was giving full mouth exrays for $59....smh Never again read more

Great experience just had a cleaning and got my night guard I can't complain at all. I can't speak for those who have dental work beyond a cleaning done.. the dentist gave me great advice and the dental assistant was really nice and didn't hurt me at all. Nice facility and Friendly staff earns it 3 stars. My husband picked it because of the commercial. I just followed suit. I'm disappointed in their "whitening" promotion. My old dentist did free trays with PPO insurance and gave patients enough whitening gel to be worth while just for keeping your regular cleanings. Mint gives you 1 gel that they say will last 3-5 treatments with your visit every 6 months. I'm not sure that over 6 months 1 gel will do much. Then they makes you either pay for additional gels or earn them one by one through posting reviews. I feel like it's the same thing as paying for positive reviews since you have to show the front desk that you posted something to get additional a gel. I'm not sure flat screens and beats headphones will keep me from going back to my old dentist that didn't have the whitening gel gimmick like MINT. read more

Would not recommend anyone to visit this location. My son had a very bad experience at the Cedar Hill office. He was not advised correctly by the staff. They sent him home with no pain meds or antibiotics after pulling his tooth. Which had a very bad abscess. Very painful experience. His wife later called and the front desk staff called in the prescriptions. Horrible expericence!! read more

I made an appointment in July for today September 26 over 2 months to be turned away bc she or they couldn't verify my insurance the day before. No phone call or anything for 2 months to hear this and we can reschedule another appointment. Mint has a nice ambiance and all and they may try to fool you with the pandora and the beats head phones, but don't let them fool you........ They are not in NETWORK with a lot of insurances and unfortunately when they are not in your insurance network that means you have to pay a lot of MONEY OUT OF POCKET FOR MAJOR DENTAL WORK (i.e: bridge,root canal) so don't let the free teeth whitening fool you, most dentist offers that now. Well let me tell you all about my encounter with Mint. Me and my family had been going to Mint for maybe a year or less and they told me I needed a BRIDGE and CROWN which i said was fine so I scheduled my appt. for them to start my CROWN which i had to pay like a few hundred dollars to start well they gave me a temp crown and told me they would call when my permanent crown came in so they called weeks later and told me my crown was in and scheduled me for an appt.to get the work done, I took off work for my appt. because i didn't know what kind of pain I would be in afterwards, well when I got there the front desk clerk told me my total for the day was $900+ dollars and I had to pay all of it before they would do the work, I proceeded to tell her i don't have that kind of money today and if you all knew i had to pay upfront for my dental work why wouldn't you all tell me this when I was here getting my temp crown and I could have been making payments while I was waiting for my permanent crown to come in, and not to mention I took off work for my appt., needless to say I was PISSED, but i held my composure left and I called my insurance and asked them why I was having to pay so much for my crown and they told me Mint is not in my NETWORK and that PISSED me off even more I was LIVID because no one at MINT never bothered to tell me that they were not in my network had I known that I definitely would have found a different dentist. Now after all that I have found a different dentist that is in my network, but unfortunately they can't do my crown i have to go back to mint because they started it and they have billed my insurance for it, I hate to go back but I need to go cause I still have this temp crown in my mouth and it's been awhile. Unfortunately, Dr. Field Harrison is unaware of the unprofessional staff representing his company. My Dad was disrespected by Angela (Office Manager at the Cedar Hill location) on Thursday, April 13, 2017. In short, he paid to have his product expedited and was promised it would arrive within 5 business days. Three weeks later he just got his dental product. When he went to pick it up, the doctor remembered the 5 day promise, however, Angela lied and said that wasn't the case. She was rude and then indicated that she was NOT going to apologize. Is this how MINT Dentistry treats patients? Is Angela, office manager, a representative of the values or leadership expectations? Customer service is not their forte. I had to go up to the receptionist and ask is there a problem?? The receptionist first response was would you like to reschedule? The "five star" reviews they get are only from people wanting the free whitening gel. I had my filling done in March and it's now May. I've been to them three times due to a pain in my mouth and nothing has been done they only prescribed me pain pills. I took the day off work, when I arrived there I was advised that since I hadn't had a cleaning in a while , I had to reschedule my appointment for the crown. So as a new patient went in to get the basic dental checkup. Was told by one dentist that i need my fillers redone. All he did was look at the x ray and never did a full dental exam. I had no pain or difficulties with it but i said yes. They charged me for a full dental exam but it never happened. When i made my second visit to get my fillers redone, it was done by a different dentist. After i got the fillers done i was in pain for 2 weeks. Couldn't eat or drink on my right side. When back and they tried to fix it but said when they were shaving they saw the nerve and i needed a root canal and this point i had no other choice. Took about 3 hrs got the root canal done and the sealed it. Couldn't get crowned till jan (root canal done in November). So till i could get my crown i could not eat or drink on my right side cuz of the pain. Was told once my crown was placed it the pain will be gone. Went back in jan and they didn't have the dentist who did the root canal even though i planned ahead for my appointment with this dentist. That was the last straw and made another appointment with a dentist someone recommended. At the time the pain wasn't bad. My awesome dentist did a great job placing the crown and i was doing great. Fast forward now march. I suddenly get throbbing pain and any touch to the teeth sends sharp pain to my ear and can chew anything on the right side. My dentist saw me immediately and told me that i might poss have a infection. She referred me to a endodontist. Met with them 2 days later and he went in found found infection and that they didn't clean all the way and he found another nerve canal that they missed. He asked me if they used the microscope like he had and i told him no. He took his time and removed the nerves and placed abx. He was awesome. Guna see him in 3 weeks to finish up. I wished i never went to mint and wasted my money their just because of some flashy advertisement read more
