Terrible terrible terrible front desk! I haven't even gone for my first appointment yet and they have already made a terrible impression on me as a potential client. I made an appointment for myself and my wife last week for a cleaning. Apparently they sent me a text to confirm (which I did not receive, and I understand that happens), but because I didn't confirm the appointment, they called me and left a voicemail to tell me that they've CANCELLED my appointment. Mint Dentistry, please check your technology systems first. People don't receive your text messages sometimes and you will have a lot of upset clients if you decide to cancel their appointments. Before cancelling, perhaps call the client like you do AFTER you've cancelled the appointment. I do not recommend these guys. My previous dentist was much better when it came to the confirmation process. read more

Unexpected experience! I had a unforgettable experience. I am a older female who's entire family was in the military except my mother. Unfortunately back in the day when I went to the military dentist, I had nothing but bad experiences. My love of candy caused me to have a lot of cavities, up to the age of 10 I had to have up to ten cavities filled, six silver caps, wisdom teeth, and numerous of teeth pulled. Needless to say in 25 years I finally got the courage to go to three dentistry's . The last dentist I went to which was Mint Dentistry was awesome!! When I called to make the appointment A lady named Ashley answered the phone. Ashley was so patient answering my million and one questions. After speaking with her and staff members I knew this was the place for not only me but got my ENTIRE FAMILY!! Mint Dentistry had ALL kinds of distractions to relax me. First let me start with I will not be going back to MINT DENTISTRY. I have been to this location several times. My first visit went well. The reason I decided to write this review is because I called the MINT location in PLANO to speak with the dentist a MONTH ago and was told the dentist would call me back, I left my phone #. I never received a call. Its been almost a month no one called. I called today and spoke with Desiree and I said to her I called a month ago and the Dentist never called me back. Desiree started questioning me about my questions for the dentist. Why I want to speak to the dentist. I mean I specifically asked for the denist. I had to go back twice in the same day to get numbed, after a month I can't even chew on the side, and now that I have chewed on one side of my mouth constantly the other side is starting to become sensitive. Last week was my first time visiting the Mint Dentistry location in Plano. I've heard the commercials a thousand times on the radio and decided to give it a try. The customer service was good and most importantly the wait time was amazing. I was called back in under 10 minutes. THAT WAS AWESOME! No one wants to wait 30-45 minutes for a scheduled appointment. They also had a GENTLE massage chair that patients used while being examined. I definitely want to make them my permanent dentist office but I'll see after tomorrow which will be my first workup appointment - root canal and crown...yicks! read more

Went in to give Mint a try last Thursday and I am so unhappy. The worst cleaning in my life and the free teeth whitening is such a gimmick. The trays don't fit properly and they give you one syringe of peroxide that is good for maybe two treatments. The dentist was nice but in a big hurry and referred me out to an endodontist that is out of network with all insurance. The staff was not great and the treatment room could have used a good cleaning. Cleanliness is a must in a doctor's office so I have decided not to give them another chance to make all of this right. read more

Today was my 1st time at Mint Dentistry in Plano and I Ioved it. They treated me great and the atmosphere was fun. Briana was the one who cleaned my teeth and she also did my x-rays and she was super fun and easy to talk to. This place is great as long as nothing ever goes wrong. They screwed up my root canal then when I came in 4 months later because of pain. They would not ahow me the new xray that showed where they didn't fill it in all the way. The xray that also showed it had re infected. I lostt 4 days of work and slwwp because of their negligence. All they did was send me home with pain killers and antibiotics saying that "well sometimes root canals can be weird." After 4 more days of excrutiating pain I went for a second opinion who immediately said I needed rework done. Insurance does not cover rework within a year and mint dentistry will take no fault. Everyone needs to know what kind of service thwy have going on here!! read more

This is the second MINT I have visited- the first one was down town. The one in Plano was a much better experience. I will say it appears company policy that they run 30 minutes late. The dentist on this visit took time to investigate the cavities seen on the X-ray thus being a little more conservative with the treatment plan. read more

If wouldn't let me give it 0 stars. In a way maybe the technician that helped with X-rays got them a 1 star. Being a cash only patient I called ahead of time . I skew questions and advised what the issue was . I went in and the tech looked at my tooth and asked if I had work done on it before . I answered yes and she began to take X-rays. After waiting without them "plugging my apple head phones" and the Dentist came in asked if I had work done on it . I said yes again and she said she had to refer me . Gave me a prescription and told me to gargle with salt water . Not once did she she even look in my mouth and spoke maybe 5 mins tops . The $100 I paid for of course before the appt. was to go toward treatment done with them . I was told because they had to refer me they couldn't do treatment and they keep the full $100 . I was like excuse me ? I didn't even get my mouth examined ?! I totally feel cheated and dissatisfied. I defiantly made be wrong choice coming here. Just moved to Dallas so I Went to the plano location for the first time in June 2014 for my 6 month cleaning. They said I had a cavity and it needed a crown that same day. They said a filling wouldn't work and I NEEDED a crown. I told them I never had a filling or cavity in my life. And I wasn't experiencing any issues with my teeth. I also informed them that I was on lunch break and didn't have time to get it taken care of today. They made me sign paper work saying if I wanted to reschedule to get the cavity taken care of it would be a $85 rescheduling fee! How do I have to pay for a rescheduling fee if that was not the original reason for the appointment?! Upon my exit they asked me what date did I want to schedule my following 6 month checkup I told them I am never coming back. They informed me that they had to enter a date in the system in order to check me out. They are full of bull crap. I went to my dentist in STL that I've been going to for 10+ years today and they said my teeth are perfectly fine. No cavities or fillings needed. Mint denistry just wants your money. Luckily I didn't move forward and get the crown that they said I needed so badly.Watch out for them pressuring you into something that you don't need!!! So I was sold on all the advertising. Made an appointment for 2/20 easily for an initial exam and consultation, however, this was a holiday and they could not verify my insurance....which I was told just a couple of hours before. They were nice enough to invite me in for the free whitening nevertheless. That part was quick and painless. The staff once I arrived was very nice and efficient. They said they would call the next day to verify and contact me to reschedule. This did not happen. I called 5 times. Still no all back. Then I left them a constructive complaint email and received a call back within 24 hours by someone named Tierra. She got my voicemail....I called back in an hour. She was in a meeting. I explained it to the person that answered the phone and was assured that the message would get to her and I would get a call back. Guess what? Two weeks have passed and no call back. :( So 2 months today and I still cannot get them to verify my insurance. So now I am shopping for another multi-office dentist. read more

Came 25min early for a 1pm appointment. They kept me waiting until 1:45pm. No call or notice to say they were behind schedule. Zero appreciation for their patient's time. They're happy to email and text me to confirm and charge me if I don't show, but not willing to even apologize for their inability to keep on schedule. read more

I have visited the Plano local twice and both times have exceeded my expectations. Mint Dentistry really knows how to take care of their customers. The staff is very professional and friendly. If time is an issue this is the place for you. I walked in five minutes before my appointment, I checked in and before I could sit down my name was being called. Once In the back everything moves like clock work. Each staff member has a walkie-talkie. They will let the next team member know they are finished and you are ready for the next stage of you visit. The only thing I don't like is the constant rotation of dentist. I saw two during my visit (one for exam and another to repair a filling) . This will save you time but I'm old fashioned. I like to develop a professional relationship with the person who is sticking their fingers in my mouth. If this was changed I would continue to be a customer. If seeing a different dentist every visit is not a problem for you then I would recommend that you try Mint Dentistry. read more

Don't normally comment but after hearing another advertisement, I felt I needed to. To start, staff was nice. Nothing bad to say about that. Came in due to loads of radio ads about the "VIP experience". Was little disappointed when I walked in on first impression of office. Little worn down and some modern furniture.. Came to Plano location as live around 380. Experience as a whole didn't really live up to the advertised one. Again, staff was super nice and nothing that necessarily put me off. But overall wasn't enough to leave the dentist I normally go to in Frisco. Sounds silly, but I suppose I was expecting almost a W Hotel (whatever, whenever) / Hotel Zaza version of dentistry, lol. They did the job and received small sales pitch at end. Wouldn't necessarily tell others not to go, but couldn't justify the raving that I kept hearing about. It's was okay. Not sure if they are franchised, but would recommend Mint parent give the Plano staff a little more to work with to back up the pitch? read more

Don't come here!!!! Well- definitely not for anything more than a cleaning. If I could give 0 stars- I would. After a year of being a client getting my cleanings here-I talked with the dentist and staff about replacing my crown in my front tooth. After many promises of success and reviewing the photo books- I went ahead and agreed to do it. Mind you- paying 100% out of pocket as my crown wasn't old enough to get replaced by insurance yet. The first time Mint did the crown- they forgot to send it to the lab. It took ~10 weeks to get my crown when I called weekly started on week 6 (I was told it would be ready in a max. of 6-8 weeks). At week 8- their office manager finally looked and realized Oops- they didn't send it out. And she didn't really care that I had family photos scheduled and would now have to cancel them since Mint was delayed- kept saying I was told 6-8 weeks and I had to remind her how to count to 10. No comment from her after that other than a small refund. 2 months after finally getting my crown- it started to wiggle. The crown AND post needed replaced this time. I told the dentist about my prior experience and how Christmas was coming up and I really needed to have a nice smile for events: not the yellowy temporary. She convinced me they would put a rush on it and not to worry- I would have it done by Dec. 19. Well- its Dec. 21- I showed up for my appointment and no tooth. The office manager again didn't really care after I explained what was promised (I've been in chats with them for over a week at this point and they had always agreed to have it done by Dec. 21 at the latest). She wouldn't even put me on the schedule to get it done after Christmas. So- here I sit a yellow snaggle tooth for Christmas and all I can say is Mint Dentistry is the Grinch. Maybe for a cleaning- you could come here. Anything more- run run run the other way. They don't care about you the patient and have yet to make 1 commitment they kept. Now- reading all the other reviews when people get more than cleaning- I see this is just how they are. read more

I heard about Mint because my previous dentist was working out of the space before they sold it and then become Mint. I've also heard about it on the radio and I was intrigued about the free teeth whitening. I have anxiety about going to the dentist so I hadn't been in awhile. I finally rustled up enough courage to have a cleaning. I showed up 30 minutes early to fill out the new patient paper work. I turned in my paper work before my scheduled appointment time and I still had to wait 30 minutes to be seen. The tech took x-rays and took molds of my mouth for the whitening trays which weren't done with detail so the trays don't fit properly and are uncomfortable. I asked about the cleaning and the tech said that since I have a permanent retainer that I might need a deep cleaning-which isn't covered under insurance...... WHOA....WHAT?! I've never had a dentist even mention anything about providing a cleaning verse a "deep cleaning" and then it not be covered...... Fortunately I only required a "regular cleaning". The doctor came in, greeted me, shook my hand then debriefed me, she then examined my teeth and looked at the x-rays. She was very nice and thorough. Then the hygienist came in.... nice guy but since when did a cleaning only involve scraping my teeth partially, polishing only the outside of my teeth and not flossing under my retainer? I was shocked when he stated he was finished. I didn't have that fresh clean feeling when you leave the dentist... and around my retainer still needed some cleaning attention. I could've done the same thing he did at home with a tooth pick. As for the whitening... you only get ONE syringe of the whitening bleach. ONE. I would never go back nor recommend anyone else from going. I wish I could give 0 stars! read more

Have been hearing the commercials on 104.5 for the past few months and was looking for a new dentist since I work in Plano and live in Fort Worth. Scheduled my appointment last week online, submitted all the forms online, and called yesterday to confirm my insurance. Showed up today at 12:58pm for my 1pm appointment. Receptionist checked me in and offered me the Beats headphones for while I wait . . . I thought I shouldn't really be waiting since it was exactly time for my appointment. There were 2 other people sitting in the waiting room, and 3 people behind reception. After about 10 minutes or so one person was called, then another 5 minutes another was called ... so now just me still waiting at 1:15 ...I waited ... and waited some more!!! At 1:30pm I went up to the desk and asked how much longer since it's been 30 minutes already - she said they should be coming to get me soon that they were cleaning a room now - and that they usually don't run this far behind. I waited another 15 minutes and after watching the 3 girls behind the desk and 1 hygienist gossiping for the past 7 minutes I took the headphones back to the counter and told her I had to go that I couldn't wait any longer. She didn't apologize and in fact had the audacity to ask me if I wanted to reschedule!!!! I told her absolutely not and that they really need to work on their scheduling. Unbelievable!!! I since located another dentist and have an appointment next Monday - hoping for a much better experience!!! read more
