Today was my first appointment at Mint dentistry and I loved it. From my first call, to walking into this location everyone has been friendly. I'm leaving Mint Dentistry Plano VERY PISSED this morning. I called a few friends just to see if I was tripping but I'm absolutely not. My initial cleaning with Mint was great and I left a great review. A week later I came to get a tooth pulled and that experience was cool. This third week, I came for a post-op because it's been a week and my mouth is still in so much pain that I'm up at nights and my face is still swollen on the right side. As you can imagine IM WORRIED. I'm taking 12 plus ibuprofens. My wisdom tooth removal was not this horrible before. I check into the front desk and everything's okay. They're always nice. A lady calls me back whom i have never had an experience with and tells me that she doesn't see on my notes that I've had my tooth pulled. I assuredher that I have. She's reading all the notes. Looking at all the photos. Nothing. She leaves speaks with the dental assistant (who was in the room when i got my tooth pulled) who assured her that I did and she comes back and says she sees it in my notes now... --__-- .. right... okay... whatever.... I explain to her my tooth hurts and ask her if it's normal she says no, it may be dry socket. I also inform her that it looks as if part of my tooth is sticking it of my gums. She takes an X-Ray and says she believes it's my bone. She leaves...the doctor. Doctor Margavitch supposedly looks at my x-ray but I don't know because I never seen her. This is where the majority of my problem lies. If you done work on my mouth that means i trusted you to make permenant decisions to my body. NOBODY wants a fucked up mouth. So that's a lot of trust ! Your patient is in so much pain where a week later she still can't sleep YOU should at least have the common decency to walk in the room and check on her. The lady, whom i have ZERO experience with came in explaining what the doctor told her to tell me. And no ALL OF A SUDDEN it's normal for me to be in this pain. I asked the lady "so the doctor who actually removed my tooth doesn't even have the courtesy to come in here and look at it herself ? Or tell me herself ?" She says "Dr. M" looked at the x-ray and doesn't need to... it's called customer service. Dentist are getting like beauticians. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. NO CARE. Just run them their money and move out of the way. If she wasn't getting paid to see me then she was not going to see me. The lady did tell me that she could ask Dr. M if she was willing to talk to me afterwards but after that point I don't want your ass to come check on me. This your work that you've done you should want to follow up. BE HUMBLE ! UPDATE 02/25/17 the "bone" that was sticking out. I got tired of the pain and pulled it out myself with tweezers today because i seen that it wa a moving ! PAINFUL ! But after I done that, like magic, no more pain. And it was part of my tooth ! I went to the new Carrollton office this morning and I had a great experience. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and quite beautiful. They work with your budget and they care about your smile. Oh and by the way they also have Beats, Netflix, blankets and Free whitening. read more

When I decided to go toe Mint Dentistry it was the biggest mistake I ever made. I waited for two hours before Dr Margavitch even arrived and when I saw her it was for about 5 minutes and that is being nice. No one explained my xrays to me. They bill me for what they call periodontal scaling and root planning, which when I looked it up, was no where close what had been performed on me. It was a basic cleaning if you could call it that. Week later I sought out another dentist who explain my xrays and informed me I had gum disease, which no one at the office including Dr Margavitch told me. If Dr Margavitch had stayed around she would have known that the two days I went in took less than 10 minutes except for the second trip it was so quick the young lady was done in 2 to 3 minutes. Today was my first visit there and all I can say is AWESOME. They ( the entire staff I encountered) make you feel comfortable from the moment you get there til you leave. I was extremely upset. I made an appointment to get a root canal and rushed from work after they told me that my appointment at 4:15 was not going to work. I get there just for them to tell me they had to refer b/c the doctor could it. I was seen that Previous Tuesday and was told it was told I had a cavity and I had to have my wire for my braces removed. So I had to go do that and by time they removed my braces it was too late. I asked them if I can make an appointment on Wednesday and then the told me they had training that day. So I called to make an appointment at another location. I didn't feel comfortable at that location and she gave me a referral out to a specialist. But I told her I don't feel comfortable at that office. And I want to go back to the original place. I've been going to Mint Dentistry in Plano for over a year now. I previously had PPO insurance with BlueCross BlueShield through my employer but recently retired and now have PPO insurance through Humana. I was scheduling my routine teeth cleaning when informed by Mint that they don't accept any insurance plans through Medicare. With the amount of volume they receive, it seems they could be more accommodating, especially since they are supposed to be a "christian-based" company, and it's not as if I'm asking for free services. Last time I went in they made me wait over an hour because "people that didn't confirm their appintment showed up", which kept pushing me back even though I had a confirmed appointment. Now a few days before my next appointment, they called me and gave me an hour and 15 mins to call them back to confirm my appointment or they would take me off the books. I'm sorry but I work full time and can't drop everything I'm doing to call back my dentist right away. When I did end up calling back later the same day, they already gave my appointment away. So on November 21, I am bombarded with text messages from MINT Dentistry begging for me and my kids to come in for a cleaning. I schedule the appointments and confirm for Dec 20. I confirm by phone and text again. When I arrive, on Dec 20 with my kids, I'm told, we don't see an appointment for you or your kids. I share the confirmation text messages and they say they will fit us in. It will be a wait! Doctors are doing treatment. They take me and put me in a chair then say you can sit her and wait or we can take your daughter. Then I go back to the waiting room so my daughter can have her teeth cleaned. Less than two mins. later, I'm asked to come back and sit in the chair. The receptionist apologizes for overbooking. How MINT is this!!!!! read more

I love the luxuriousness of the facility. the chairs are massage chairs and the way that the place is designed is very contemporary & aesthetic to the eye. although, the wait was a little too long. it took over an hour and a half just for a cleaning. they left me sitting in the chair for most of the time. but I LOVE the fact they do free whitening for reviews. that's usually a $500 value. so I will be back read more

I am giving 1 star because Dr. Shin came in and checked my teeth and told me I had 3 cavities then she left for the day!! What dentist or doctor does that? If 4:30 appointments are too late in the day, then they shouldn't take that time for appointments. So I went home without them taken care of and will worry about it until I can go somewhere else to have them looked at. I am thinking about reporting her to the dentistry board. An epic fail boutique dentistry that relies on those with insurance to subsidize the uninsured. My crown I've had for 40 years became loose. I went in to have it re-cemented and my insurance was charged $137 in unnecessary x-rays THEN the out-of-pocket cost to have it re-cemented was $200. Seriously! This would be laughable if it weren't for the fraud & abuse of dental insurance. Shame on you, MINT. Perhaps less billboards would result in competitive pricing. #joke read more

Very nice atmosphere and the people are really nice, but I was kinda disappointed because I had to wait and sat 30 mins past my appointment time to be seen. Back story: called Either Thursday or Friday to make an appointment and advised the lady over the phone if our insurance situation and asked if they could verify everything before my Monday appointment. She assured me it would be taken care of that day and if they had any questions they'd call me right away. So why am I here sitting in the waiting room and it's now 2:43!! and they're trying to just now verify my insurance!!!!! I was giving this place another shot because I already don't like how they have a team of dentist so you never see the same person each time you come in. I went to Mint Dentistry on a referral. August 2018. My experience was NOT GOOD!!! To start, I waited in my dental chair for over 35 minutes before anyone came in to speak with me about my teeth. Secondly, a cast was made of my teeth, to help with teeth whitening they promised to give me at the end of my visit, never happened! Dentists were not sure what steps were needed next in my dental care. Never, got the tooth filings I came in for, felt I was being rushed out. Mint Dentistry also, assured me I was getting fillings, but first needed to talk with financial office support, that was suppose to come to my dental chair!!! who does that!!!! Also, the physical reception office was unkept, rug needed to be cleaned. Dirty tissue just sitting on the arm of the chair. Very disappointed. Went in to get the whitening tray as said on the commercial. Sat at the waiting area for 40 minutes before they called me to mold my retainer, which took 5 minutes. Then waited for another 30 - 40 minutes for my tray to be ready. The ladies and the guy in the reception area were too busy chatting and giggling instead of checking on my tray. And I had to ask them to check up on it before I actually got it. They clearly have no respect for my time and I noticed other patients in the waiting room were also getting inpatient. The facility is just average not all that great as everybody claims. Not impressed. Overall, disappointed, will definitely not be going back and will not recommend It to anybody. read more

I am totally disappointed in Mint Dentistry! I called a couple weeks ago to reschedule an appointment for my son and I to today. I get to the front desk to check in after taking off work and driving way over here only to be told the call center didn't didn't move my son appointment from June 5th to today and since I didn't confirm my appointment I was moved from the schedule. So now customer service is requiring I call you to confirm my appointment when I am paying you. Wow! I rescheduled but I am thinking I will find a new dentist. Disappointed they are supposed to be so convenient for everyone well they are not. I had an appointment called and said I'm on my way but there was a wreck that happened in front of me. I was told no problem we will see you when we get here. Just got home from Mint Dentistry and I was so pleased. They are so polite, and friendly with state of the art equipment. They had my husband and I in and out of there very quickly. I also really appreciated that they also ran on time, so we weren't in the waiting room for a long time. They quickly went over my options with me, and I loved that their was someone from financials to go over the cost of everything with me very clearly with no pressure to purchase. I had a tooth fixed that I have been needing fixed right at the front of my mouth, and you can see a photo of the before and after included. To the person Nina who felt like she was a customer at a checkout lane, I think their whole goal is to keep you relaxed rather than bombard you with information. I asked questions, and they were happy to provide me answers. I think it's smart people should offer incentives (like free teeth whitening) for a good review. My stylist, nail salon and a few others offer that. It's good marketing! read more

Nina is totally correct. I came there for major dental work. Thank goodness I decided against it and got a refund. They may be ok with teeth whitening cleaning etc. But if you are needing major work I would steer clear. I paid everything my first visit left all excited and realized I had not been explained anything. No treatment plan nothing. So I call. You are routed to the Dallas location and have to be transferred. Got all kinds of incorrect information people just trying to help but in all honesty just made things worse. Absolutely the WORST visit that I have ever made to a "dentist". When I got there they told me that they didn't know I was coming because I hadn't confirmed, but they could still see me. I showed him the texts where I confirmed. He was highly confused. There are no ipads to fill out your paperwork, as they advertise on the radio. Mine was good old-fashioned paperwork on a clipboard. ALSO...there are no headphones, or anything else they advertise, except the massage chairs. When I asked them to turn it off because it actually hurts my back they acted shocked that I would make such a request and reluctantly turned it off. Anyways, after waiting 25 minutes after my appointment time I will finally called back. I assume the person was an xray tech, or an assistant? She never introduced herself, or explained who she was, so I'm not sure. She did xrays and then showed me to a room where she did more xrays. She then told me that the dr would be in shortly. "Shortly" was another 20 minutes. The "Dr" didn't introduce herself, so I have no idea what her name was. She poked around in my mouth, making me turn my head into uncomfortable positions that left me with a kink in my neck afterwards. I guess she couldn't move to see what she needed to? After her "exam" she proceeded to tell the aide, assistant, xray tech, whoever the girl was, what she was going to do. No asking me if I wanted things done, or talking to me at all. As she was about to get out of her chair I told her that I had a question. She looked at me as though she had no idea what I was saying. I proceeded to ask "Can you give me a white smile?" Simple question, right? NO! She had me repeat myself twice more and then proceeded to explain to me, as though I was 4 years old, what a cavity was. No kidding. Didn't get to be this age without knowing that information, thank you very much. Two minutes later after going back and forth with her, I determined that she was not going to give me an answer. She didn't have answers for anything I asked, looked confused the entire time, and then left, saying she would send the "person" in to clean my teeth. I noped the hell out of there at that point. If the "dentist" (if she was even actually a dentist, her lack of knowledge and ability to answer a simple question, makes that questionable) couldn't answer the one question that I had asked, then I certainly wasn't going to allow any of the rest of their staff near my mouth. I would NEVER, EVER recommend this place to anyone...it was an absolute waste of my time. read more

I love this office! After not going to the dentist for at least 5 years I knew it was time to go. The staff was friendly and the office was very clean. Alisia took my X-rays and took the molds for my whitening trays and she was great!!! She answered all my questions and made sure I was comfortable. Sani did my deep cleaning and I couldnt have had anyone better!! She took her time and made sure I understood my after care. The office laid out my treatment plan in plain English. This was my first visit to Mint. After all the raving reviews online and the radio I was really disappointed during my cleaning. I arrived at 230p for my appointment, I filled out pretty easy new patient paperwork and was in a 'room' in about 15 minutes. So far so good right? Well that is about where it ended. Now while Mint my have nice chairs, abilities to watch Netflix, Hulu or listen to Pandora these are no substitute for good customer service and running your office on time. While I was watching my Netflix show I realized that I had been left unattended for nearly an hour!! One person put me in this room, another took the first set of X-rays, and a third person took my vitals, she forgot to turn the BP on and I had to remind her. Then a while later the Dentist came in. She took a SHORT look at me and asked for another set of X-rays. While I'm aware I may have a cavity, I have no sensitivity. They tried to tell me I may need a root canal for roughly $500.00 and they could knock off $100 for my wait today. I told this 4th new person I saw that I would be declining their recommendation. Why would I wait 2 hours to get my teeth cleaned only to sign up for something worse and it take all day. I think not. Some other person came in to get something and asked what I was watching. I told her and she said she wished she had time to see a movie. I told I had already watch 2, one hour episodes. She said she was confused. I told her I was confused on why I hadn't been treated yet either. She said she would check on things. I heard them in the hallway talking (I assume it was about me) they have these ear pieces they wear to communicate and you can over hear everyone's information. I heard them say "well someone did forget about her for 30 minutes". FINALLY a new 5th person came into clean my teeth. It was the fastest cleaning I've ever had. I'm not a hygienist, I don't know if it's good or bad. Once she was done cleaning she walked me to the front desk and discharged me. I never saw the Dentist for follow up care. Nothing. Just put out. I am extremely disappointed in my care today. Needless to say, I won't be back and would not recommend it to anyone. The only reason they are getting two stars is because the staff at least polite. Simply put this office is over booked and under staffed. read more

l heard such great reviews but l was not impressed at all, the front desk staff acted like l was interrupting there conversation when l checked in. Filling out the paper work on an iPad was slightly difficult but that was my fault for not doing it at home before hand. Everything that was suppose to be high end and nice about Mint felt cheap and just kind of tacky. l only waited about 15 minutes which was fine but l felt like in the whole process l saw about 3 different people to look at my teeth which was weird. The free teeth whitening is just some tack home trays for you to use which l wasn't very impressed with. They dentist told me my teeth were great and then someone else showed me that l needed 2 fillings and tried to talk me into getting them today and that it was going to cost me $400! Talk about ridiculous, then they made me book my next appointment even though l said l would like to wait. So over all not worth the hype at all, l did not like the staff, or how pushy everyone seemed to be. read more

Went to Modern Dentistry 6 months ago and tho the service was decent, it was NO where close to the vibe and professional feel of Mint Dentistry. The whole staff was very friendly even though mine and my husbands appointment was late in the day. We also werr new patients, there dental chairs have built in massage and relaxation is at its max. Calm music,fun staff..and free teeth whitening. Over all probably my first great experience at a dental office. read more
