Ordered delivery through door dash tonight. Please be aware that any entree or curry dish doesn't include rice. It's just a 16 oz bowl of stew. They were extremely rude to my wife on the phone when she complained. A simple apology for lack of communication would have sufficed. It truly was the rude treatment we received afterward that killed the experience. If you're ordering a $15 lamb stew, please note to order additional rice. They argued with us that this is customary when ordering from Indian restaurants but I know this isn't the case anywhere. We even paid an extra $3 for a watery yogurt raita. Excellent food. It's spicy so ask for mild if you can't handle spicy food. We only got to try two dishes but we definitely want to go back with friends to try some of the other items on the menu. I only gave them 4 stars because none of their entrees come with rice. For the cost of the entree and the fact that it's a basic staple of this cuisine I hope they reconsider and add rice to the entrees. read more

This is our new favorite Indian/Pakistani place. It is very small literally like the proverbial "hole in the wall" & their takeout service is great. On most recent visit I got samosas, pakora, chicken tikka masala, paneer tikka masala, palak paneer, lamb korma, & smoked eggplant for my book club. Everyone raved about every dish & we also sampled breads- chapati, plain naan, & garlic naan. Soooo good. Best samosas ever - we all agreed. They were also generous with sauces & raita. Great food. My family and I finished everything. The naan is great too. We came in thinking about the Indian buffet and unfortunately they stopped doing that for awhile now. However the food definitely did not disappoint. We had the eggplant, the panner ( the chess) with Spinach and the chicken. The chicken is a bit dry but still flavorful. Ordered takeout from them last week. First, the girl on the phone said it will be ready in 35 minutes, we get there and they made us wait an additional 15 minutes without being apologetic. Second, the mutton/goat in the Karahi was just AWFUL-fibrous, hard and tasteless. And the biryani was even worse, just tasted like they threw a ton of chilly powder in it and it wasn't even basmati rice. Not worth the drive for us anymore... read more

This is my family's favorite Resturant! The owners are the sweetest people I've ever met. The food is incredible. I know Indian food, ok, and this is hands down the best Indian food in Orange County! The place is small but definitely family friendly, you don't have to feel uncomfortable bringing small children. They have two large tvs at the front and back and are always playing classic Bollywood songs. I love it! My daughter loves it too, (she's 3) I came during lunch and was surprised to find a lunch buffet for only $8.99! They have a variety of vegetarian and chicken dishes. The buffet is served with hot naan! For the price the buffet is a steal! The dinner is a whole other ball game though. We always get the lamb karhai (probably the most delicious thing on the menu) and tandoori chicken. Naans are always perfect and never doughy. Oh and the Biryani is the best Biryani I've had at an Indian or Pakistani place EVER. It's authentic Biryani, not just chicken curry mixed with rice like all the other places do. The update is for buffet lunch on a weekend. The place is small and there were about a dozen trays of food. Not a lot of vegetarian options. They had samosa, fried pakora, dal, vegetable stir fry and lettuce salad. Rest of the menu were chicken briyani, 3 types of chicken curry, tandoor chicken pieces, goat curry, egg curry. Everything was delicious. I was impressed with the freshness of the appetizers (samosa and pakora) and juicy tandoor chicken. Chicken briyani tasted just like the dinner I had ordered for to-go. Met our friends here for lunch and opted for their Indian Buffet. A Bollywood show was playing on TV. The food was very tasty and delicious. The naan bread with garlic was to die for...it's so good. My only complaint is that some dish do not have a name so if you are not familiar with Indian cuisine you would not know what it is. So there were items that I did not try because of this. Items ordered were Paneer Tikka masala, veg biryani, pakodas, vegetable korma and chapatis.paneer tikka masala was the best I have had in the U.S, Paneer was soft and tender. Veg biryani was excellent. Veg pakoras could have been better. Chapati and korma was good as well. Will sure try out the meat dishes the next time. Small place, but absolutely fabulous. Some of the best flavors of any Indian Restaurant I have ever been. The Chicken Tikka Masala is out of this world in flavors. My wife, father and myself were in the mood for Indian Food and had heard about this "hole-in-the-wall" place that had just opened up. When we first arrived at Mint (roughly 7:45PM) there was no one else there...DO NOT LET THIS DETURE YOU! We sat down and were helped by a very friendly, cordial young man who knew the importance of excellent customer service. Our food was absolutely perfect! I had the Chicken Vindaloo while my wife and father had the Chicken Tikka Masala. We had Sag Aloo (not on menu but we requested and they obliged) and it too was incredible. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys or is eager to try Indian Cuisine. read more

Man, I wish I could give over 5 stars. They recently replaced the lunch buffet with an even better lunch special. You get SO much food, it's ridiculous. And it's all fresh stuff, rather than stuff that's been sitting out on a warmer for hours. When they instituted this cheap and more expansive lunch special, I started going a lot more often. I get the Lahori chicken (EXCELLENT and was not previously in the buffet), rice, tandoori chicken and the potato/pea curry all as part of the package deal. I think they let you pick two vegetables? I actually had to cut back from going as often because I was gaining weight. :) Service is still friendly as ever, and we recommend this restaurant all the time. read more

We visited Mint for dinner. We have not sampled their lunch buffet, which seems to be reasonably priced. The dinner experience was excellent with one exception: We felt it was not a very good value. The food all tasted very good. The Pakoras were crunchy and spicy. The Chicken Tandoori, Chapli Kabab and Lamb Chops were perfectly marinated and cooked. The Chicken Karahi was exceptional. The other dishes were also good. This restaurant does not serve beef dishes; however, the lamb dishes were cooked nicely. The one big negative was the decor. The restaurant is tiny and has more of a 'hole-in-the-wall' feel. However, the total bill that we paid was much higher than would be expected from a modest restaurant like Mint. Typical Indian restaurants of this caliber cost about 50% less than Mint and are usually more presentable. I would have rated them 5-stars on food alone. In the future, I would like to see Mint update their interior and expand their seating. However, they should keep making delicious food like what we sampled today! We are not likely to repeat for dinner in the near future; however, we may visit them for lunch one of these days. read more
