I looked around for someone to do a lash lift for a while. Lash extensions seem like way too high maintenance for me. The places that I found all seemed more focused on brow microblading and lash extensions. They didn't seem reliable or welcoming or friendly to me. I stumbled across Katrina by chance and I realized she's a few units down from my nail girl! I looked through her Instagram and I even liked her aesthetic. So I booked an appointment online, which was super easy. I received two emails: the first confirming my appointment and when my appointment came closer, and one to remind me of my appointment and instruct me on how to prepare for it, which was super helpful!! The day of my appointment rolls around and I finally get to meet Katrina and... She's the nicest freaking person EVER wow. The lash lift took about an hour and your eyes are closed for the most part, which is probably the most scary part. If you get your hair or nails done, you can see what they're doing, and if they mess up, you can tell them before it's too late. But closing your eyes and just letting someone do their work is placing a lot of trust in them. However, Katrina explained every single step of the process and answered all my questions. It was like we were already friends. When she was done she was detailed about aftercare and even sent me a before and after photo! The lash lift was reasonably priced for what it is, the service you get, and the results. I literally went home that day and tossed my eyelash curler. I'm on week 5 and they're still pretty and curled. It's low maintenance: just don't get then wet or use any product for 24 hours. After that, the only downside is that Katrina recommends no waterproof products, as the oils in waterproof removers will strip the lift -- but that I can totally live with. I already have another appointment next week to give my lashes a little refresher. If you're thinking about whether or not to visit Katrina, just go! She's reasonably priced and very friendly! read more

I'd been wanting to get my brows microbladed for a while now, and I'm so glad I happened to find Katrina! I was a bit nervous when I walked into her studio (located inside Sola Salon), but she is super nice and quickly put my mind at ease. Katrina took her time talking with me to get a sense of what I was looking for as far as the shape of my brows was concerned, and took her time getting the shape drawn out so that I had the best brows possible. She walked me through the entire process both before we started and as we went along. The process itself was fairly painless (at most, it just felt like someone plucking out hairs). The session took about 3 hours total, but the microblading itself took the least amount of time. The majority of it is getting your shape down and letting the numbing gel do its thing. I went in for a lash lift and it changed my life. Katrina's studio is so clean and comfortable, she even had a blanket you could use if you got too cold. She described each step to me as she did the lash lift, so I was never questioning what was being done. It was my first time so she started my lashes off easy, so they wouldn't get completely fried. She gave me a lot of good aftercare tips as well. The only thing that bummed me out was that I got a tint as well thinking it would make my lashes look like there was a thin coat of mascara on them or something, but since my lashes are already black the tint literally did nothing and I just wish she would've maybe told me that before doing that.
