It came within a week, days sooner than expected. I went to pick up new charger today and witnessed Sandy being extra kind to another customer. She is a gem of gems. I went in there very hesitant and ending up ordering the hearing aids. What sold me was knowing I had six months to change my mind. I've had the aids on for two days now and have decided I'm keeping them. I told Vanessa I was going out of town next week and she suggested I go in for a checkup before I leave, just to make sure I'm comfortable with them and if I have questions. As for the hearing aids. They're much easier to wear and more comfortable than I imagined. Best of all is they're not noticeable at all. That was a major concern of mine. Last mention, the first place I went to that I was sent to by my insurance was double the price and I would have had to pay for follow-ups and maintenance. At Costco this service is free for I think two years. I have to read my contract again. Bottom line, I paid a lot less, without insurance, for the same kind of hearing aid. I highly recommend Costco for the hearing aids.

I happened to be in the area for a brief trip and Costco Hearing Aid Center was amazing! My better…read morehalf forgot his hearing aid charger and he was so disappointed. Can you even imagine how disappointing and frustrating to not be able to hear? I called Costco's Hearing Aid Center to ask if they had any chargers I could purchase to help. The amazing lady at the center told me they didn't have extra chargers and it would take a few days to order a new charger and get it for us. This was consistent with the search my partner did to order a new charger. The lady at the center understood the stress in my voice and the need for support. She told me they didn't have any appointments open and they were busy but to drop by and she would do something to help us out. I was able to bring the hearing aids to the center and the lady was able to charge the hearing aids - free of charge. Let me repeat that: FREE of charge. She was super sweet and helpful. The charging was pretty quick and just took maybe an hour or so. When I picked them up she showed me they were charged and taught me how to turn them on and off (again, they weren't mine and I've never used hearing aids before). To be extra awesome, she also professionally cleaned them. Isn't that truly amazing!! If anyone ever needs hearing aids or needs support for their Costco purchased hearing aids, definitely go to the Costco Hearing Aid Center. They are truly special and amazing people and I am forever grateful for their support in a pinch!!

If they are short staffed, it's almost impossible to get assistance. I went to the Poway office a few days ago, and there was a sign on the door stating they weren't taking walk-ins due to short staffing. I just needed to get my hearing aid cleaned, which is supposed to be a walk-in. There was also a sign at 1:30 PM stating they were at lunch. I tried the Escondido location the next day, and had the same experience there. One person was working there and I waited 20 minutes (before I gave up) to get my hearing aid cleaned. I called the corporate office and the guy there was basically no help -- in essence, he said "Yeah, we're short staffed. We're trying to fix it." Would not recommend if you have other options.

We began with a comprehensive hearing test for my mom and then Dr. Sara explained the results and explained to her that she would be a good candidate. I tried to figure out how I could've missed an appointment because they said they would be giving me a reminder text. The woman who answered the phone was extremely rude. She insinuated I was lying about not receiving a text and she said she was sure a text was sent. While on the phone, I searched for a reminder text on the dates in question and found no text. That seemed to make her even more angry. I remained very calm and polite and explained that I'm sorry she's having a bad day, but I am no part of the problem. I felt like she was the paying customer and I was trying to keep her from losing her cool and being super polite to her while she was being rude and angry towards me. It seemed to make her angry that when I searched my text, there was no reminder text from her office. It's too bad when the bulk of an Office team are polite and friendly, and the behavior of one of the employees brings down the customer satisfaction and reputation of the office.

I have had two other sets of hearing aids from other providers in the past. The current set that Dr. Dutton recently provided for me are the most comfortable and the clearest yet. Over a series of appointments, she was able to help fine-tine and pinpoint my issues so that I could finally hear conversations in noisy environments (without making all the other sounds uncomfortably loud). And, she made sure that I understood the best maintenance of the hearing aids and how to adjust their volume in different environments. Dr. Dutton is the consummate professional. She has a very cheery disposition and wonderful chair side manner that puts you at ease right away. Thankfully, she is very gentle and gifted in being able to explain one's hearing condition in an understandable way. It is clear that she is passionate about her work, and it was nice to learn about her involvement with international colleagues/groups to stay current with the latest technology.
