I often have to do bathroom renovations that require a full demo and remodel. More recently, I had a bathroom that was structurally sound (tub intact, no cracked floor tiles, subfloor seemed to be solid) but in 1960's pink, so I wanted to find a lower cost solution to rejuvenate the bathroom. I decided to try Miracle Method to recoat/refinish the floor tile and the bathtub. I retiled the sidewalls of the tub, and installed a new toilet, vanity and light fixture. After painting, it looked like a new bathroom without doing an expensive demo and rebuild. It has been 1.5 years and the finish is holding up well. We had bathtub resurfacing done January this year. Initially we were very happy. However, only a few weeks after the job was done, we started noticing cracks on the caulking lines (see attached photos). In March, we contacted them and were notified that the caulking lines were not under warranty. But they sent out a technician to reapply coating on the cracking caulking lines. But within a week, more cracks appeared all over the caulking line and since then we have been applying caulking on those cracks almost once every 2 weeks. Each time that happened, we stopped using that shower completely, let it dry and apply the caulk, then return to using it after 24hrs. But the cracks were popping up non-stop and we finally got tired of fixing it ourselves and contacted them again a few weeks ago (September). We were told that they will only fix it for a fee since "someone else" has applied caulking and it's not their original coating. The fact the we had to apply caluking means that the original coating has failed. So what we were told is beyond absurd. Future customers, please be aware that the customer service after the original work is done may be terrible even if the initial experience may be good and the quality of the coating may not be as good as they advertise or other customers state. read more

Miracle Method is such a great alternative to refinishing. I have a 100 year old cast iron tub that I couldn't imagine replacing. The older tubs are much more beautiful and hold heat better than newer ones. Kristina was very easy to coordinate with via email and them over the phone. Milo was a solid technician; it turned out beautifully and he adjusted a few rough spots that I noticed. The finish is as smooth as glass. They refinished both my bathtub and the tile surround. There was an issue with the color not matching, but Milo noticed it as soon as he took down the protection and then took care of it. They were very easy to work with. Our bathtub was in horrendous shape! There was a huge bump in the middle of the tub that was from a bad cover up job and many terrible scratches and stains. We had Miracle Method come out to help and their service was excellent!!! I was concerned about the fumes, since I have a toddler and they went the extra mile by providing an air purifier, which helped greatly! The worker was respectable and kind and also quick! He warned about that it would be a bit noisy while he sprayed but he was kind enough to check in with me since I wfh. He also let me know there would be a bit of a scent but if cleared up fairly quickly and he let me now that it was non toxic since I have kids and a dog. My bathroom suffered from a hideous case of 1940s era pink tile. Miracle Method turned it a vintage white and it looks fantastic now. For those who are not familiar, Miracle Method is "refinishing" meaning they leave your old tile (or tub or counters) in place, but repaint it to look like new tile. To my surprise, this actually works - no one who has seen it thinks it looks anything other than perfect. They clean and caulk the old stuff, mask the surrounding areas (including towel bars, painted areas, switch plates, etc) paint it with the new color, and ventilate the heck out of it to the outdoors. My bathroom is about 30 square feet, and includes about 150 square feet of tile that I had refinished. My bathroom was a somewhat challenging job because I also had black accent tiles (some of which were only about 1/4" wide) that I wanted to keep as-is. This meant that the worker had to mask these tiny detailed areas as well as the regular stuff. For a bathroom this size with these details, it took 2 1/2 days of work and cost about $2200. One disadvantage - or advantage, depending on your taste - is that you can't have different colored grout lines when they are done, because they paint the entire surface, grout and all, with their new coating. In my case, this was a good thing because I wanted to cover my pink tiles (and white grout) with white. The result is a perfect looking white surface. Something else to be aware of is that if you fancy abrasive cleaners like Comet, you won't be able to use them anymore on your refinished surface. It's gentle spray cleaners and immediate water rinsing from here on out! I researched this process before doing it, and learned that surfaces in frequent, constant contact with standing water (e.g. tubs) or objects (e.g. countertops) hold up less well over time than surfaces that don't (e.g. bathroom walls, tub surrounds, back splashes). So I decided not to have them do my tub, even though it is a bit uneven looking after 50-100 years of use. They offer a bunch of colors, and one of them matched my tub and vanity pretty well (Miracle Method Kohler White), so it was an easy choice. Some niggles. While they did an excellent job masking everything, there were some cases of overspray. Most of these were minor, and I was able to remove tile overspray with under an hour of razor blade work. Also, when masking the floor, the technician did something (adhesive or chemical?) that etched (visibly scratched) about 20% of my natural marble floors. Fortunately, Jaime and Claire saw this problem and sent a tile polisher over to fix it at no cost to me. Unfortunately, his polish left a yellow and brown residue over half the floor. (See related review - I hired someone to clean this mess.) But I can't blame MM for that, and I will assume that they will prevent this problem in the future. If I have future tile needs, I will give these guys a call again. read more

This company is well named, because what they did to my really old, chipped up, clawfoot bathtub is a miracle! I had a really great experience overall. They were quick to respond with a quote (I messaged from Yelp), and Jaime spent a long while on the phone with me explaining all of my color finish options, and how the whole process work. On appointment day, Giovanni came on time, and he went above and beyond. He was extremely polite and respected my apartment and bathroom. I had a really screwed up tub and he made it look like new! Only downside is that even though Giovanni arrived with a really efficient air filtering system, the fumes can be still very intense at times, so it's ideal to leave your home, if you can. The whole process took 6 hours (although it's typically supposed to take 4. I had a really bad tub!) So happy! read more

The pan restoration and thorough refinishing of our 35-year-old fiberglass shower stall was performed carefully and just as described when the services were specified in our home - beautiful results; charged exactly the amount quoted; no issues. Everyone we worked with (Kristina, Jaime, Nate) at this tight-knit franchise operation were happy workers, good communicators and conspicuously focused on customer satisfaction. We were duly advised of the odor associated with acrylic coatings ("24 hours of the busiest nail salon imaginable"), and a follow-up request was gracefully fulfilled at our door with a lagniappe (generous supply of color-matched touch-up material and a cleaning solution sample). I can't speak to durability, but everything, from an initial phone call to job completion, was a great experience in Feb 2024. read more

I had our tub refinished in November 2018. That was 4 years and 3 months ago.I had a great experience with Claire at the time and the tub looked great. I emailed Miracle Method this month in Feb. 2023 asking about the tub peeling at the top (not the bottom) and other jobs. They gave me a quote for each job and a total. I then asked about the warranty on the tub. They said it was under 5 years so they reduced the price on redoing it from $900 to $450 as long as I approve the other jobs which totaled $5000. I wondered why a warranty was dependent on additional jobs? I decided to hold off on the other jobs since it was a lot to do at once, so they upped the tub price back to $900 and told me it was no longer under warranty since my house is a commercial building. The building is a duplex owner occupied. They said the jobsite had to be owner/occupied to qualify for residential and any rental rendered it commercial. Commercial only had 1 year warranty. They sent me their warranty this week. I looked at my original emails from 2018 and found the estimate they sent with NO warranty information nor residential vs commercial information and forwarded it to Jaime. He sent it back to me with the warranty attached saying that is what they originally email to me in 2018. Wow that is so wrong! They attached the warranty today saying they sent it to me in 2018. They did not. I believe Claire had sent me the wrong attachment in 2018. I'm really disappointed in their customer service and their product. See attached photos. The finish will peel in places you would not expect (at the top of the tub and around the faucet area which usually doesn't get wear and tear). And they will go to no end to avoid honoring a warranty. They offered to redo our tub for $800 now. read more

I'd had it repaired around the drain in the past and over time the repair color was glaring compared to the original finish. So I bit the bullet and decided to have the entire bottom of the tub done. Jose arrived to the minute on time. He was such a delightful personality. And his standards were the highest. He was not satisfied with the original color options he had with him because he did not believe they were a close enough match the color of my tub. So he made special arrangements to obtain a color he thought would work better. He made a 2nd trip to my home later in the day to complete the repair. It is wonderful! I could not be happier. I had previously given this business a four star review, both for the quality of the bathtub resurfacing work as well as the professionalism of honoring their warranty when the bathtub started peeling. It is with the saddest of hearts that I'm now leaving a one star review. This business used to be amazing. When it was owned and run by Claire, there was a lot of pride in the quality of work and service. Unfortunately she passed over the summer and since then the person who's running it, Jamie, only cares about money. He's refusing to touch up my bathtub without charging me even though I'm having an issue with my bathtub that's covered by the warranty, and I'm still within the warranty. Instead he's trying to get close to $400 out of me to do a small touchup that should be covered by the warranty. Despite this I offered to meet him halfway by paying $100 for a visit, just out of respect for Claire's memory, but he still refuses, is stonewalling me and ignoring my emails. And all this though I'm a long-time customer who's referred many customers to them over the years, It's a shame that the business Claire built up so beautifully, and all the amazing relationships that she had with her customers, can be destroyed by this man in one fell swoop and practically overnight. Shameful that he's not honoring Claire's memory and treating her customers of many years the way she would've treated them. Sadly I won't be referring any more customers to this business. read more

Most recently, earlier this week with the help of owner Jaime and his assistant, Kristina, their repairman "Milo" arrived as previously scheduled and did a fantastic job cleaning and refinishing our very old bathtub. It was a mess, and Milo was completely thorough in restoring it to great shape, including some touch-up on the surrounding tile which had become discolored. I had my bathtub refinished a little over two years ago, and it is already peeling. This is after normal use by only one person for a little more than two years! I felt compelled to write this review in order to warn Yelp users that this Business's product and application process is so delicate and thin that it doesn't withstand simple water and normal use by one individual. Unfortunately, the owner of this small business, Claire, refuses to honor the warranty. She exclaimed that the peeling was my fault because I must have left standing water and soap in the bathtub, which nullifies the warranty. Apparently, my photos and normal history of use were not sufficient for her to honor the warranty. I guess that I either wasn't supposed to use water or soap in the bathtub, or I was supposed to wipe off every trace of water and soap in the bathtub after use? Seriously, if this is the case, consider purchasing a new bathtub and paying for the installation. It will be a lot cheaper, and you will have a bathtub that you can actually use with water and soap, and will last years and years. I think that Miracle Method might be beneficial to realtors and people who are selling their homes, and want to make their bathtubs appear to be new so that they can trick the buyer into purchasing their home for more than it's worth. The sellers don't care what happens after they sell it. I feel sorry for the buyers, who are going to shortly watch their Miracle Method application peel off, with no credible warranty to repair it. Based on my experience, the local Miracle Method owned by Claire does not measure up to the claims that are made on the website, which states the following: "Our locally owned and operated company offers a great warranty, and we'd love to tell you more about our quality, long-lasting work and easy-to-clean surfaces". Now, it's going to cost me an extra $285.00 in order to repair the peeling so that it doesn't continue to spread:( read more

After Miracle Method re-coated the interior of my tub I had: - white paint splotches and drips on the exterior of my newly restored charcoal gray clawfoot tub -white paint splotches on my newly-tiled floor -lots of garbage in my bathroom (they did not clean up) -a thin layer of dust on everything (which I expected) I called Miracle Method to talk about the white paint splotches on the exterior of my tub. One of the co-owners, Carlos, came to my apartment to inspect. He apologized and said they would pay to re-finish the exterior of the tub--just send them the bill. Lo and behold, they don't want to pay the exterior painting bill as they were "not included in the process." Though Carlos did not indicate that he wanted to be part of the process--he told me to call the people who originally did the work, which I did. Don't hire these people. Their work is sloppy and they are slippery in business. read more
