Man I REALLY wanted to like this place. I've been searching for a new spot.. It IS clean, there is a small parking lot & the ladies are very friendly. I was and out in an hour. I scheduled online, they called to try to change it, no biggie they got me in just a little earlier. My issue is with the actual nails. I got tips with dip and shellac - so before tip $58. That would be fine, if my nails weren't noticeably different. I'm really upset that I dropped 70$ for some nails that aren't even consistent in size. With well over forty years of manicure experiences, I've had every type of manicure and I've also had my nails scraped, dug at, and drilled to the point that my nails were so damaged they were extremely hot and burned under the UV light. After my last shop experience, I had to wait three months for my nailbeds to recover from the horrific damage, but I decided to shop around again. I called Miracle Nails and Spa. WOW! From the moment I walked into the salon, I felt like I was in Manicure Heaven! Miracle Nails and Spa is so clean and well appointed, from lighting, the booths and the pedicure chairs, right down to the smooth jazz music softly playing in the background. One of the few places that does Gel-X. Photos are of my nails two weeks after my appointment, still on and going strong! Called in the morning and asked for an appointment for two, the person on the phone told me to come in at 6pm. They close at 7pm, so I was worried they wouldn't be able to get to me. When I arrived we had to wait for the nail techs to be available, so even closer to 7pm. Even though they didn't get to us until around 6:30pm they stayed past 7pm to finish. So - awesome service! The place is always clean and decorated cute. I go to Mia for my gel nails, but Natalie has done my toes a few times, both of them are great! I will be the first to admit, I'm quite particular about my nails, but Mia is very meticulous and frequently checks in throughout the service to make sure it is to my liking. If she doesn't think it looks just right she will take it upon herself to correct it even without being asked to do so - she definitely takes pride in her work. I highly recommend this place. This is my new favorite nail salon in Portland. Mia and her staff are so good with nail design, the space is clean and inviting, they have tons of colors and dips, and everyone is super sweet. I've been twice so far for a full set and the last time they did a beautiful design that I absolutely loved. One suggestion is to make sure you're making an appointment with them for your nails. They can usually get you in pretty quickly but what I like is that they don't take walk-ins before your appointment like some other salons that say you have an appointment then make you wait 30-minutes because they took a walk-in before you got there. Also a bonus is that there is a bubble tea spot in the same parking lot so you can grab a fun drink while you get your nails done.
