I left with a very full and happy tummy! I'm so glad we stumbled upon this place on Yelp. With so many stellar reviews, we knew this was a place we needed to try. As someone who lives in LA, anytime I go somewhere and there's parking, I'm thrilled. We are back from Northern CA! We were at Mirchi a year ago when our son was participating in the State Science Fair, and we looked up our Yelp review so we could go back and once again enjoy the delicious cuisine at Mirchi Indian Cuisine! (We live 540 miles away- or we would be here every week!) Once more we were beyond thrilled with our dinner, and ordered entirely too much food. The kind waiter overheard me asking my husband if he would like some of the delectable rice we had on our table, and our lovely waiter brought out a second kind of rice just for us, as a gift! What a kind gesture! Our Chicken Tikka was so incredible, and the chef was kind enough to make it mild for our son. My husband and son had nice again shared the house dinner for 2 which had so many delicious dishes. Plus the Naan was incredible! We tried the Praratha bread for the first time, and wow was it excellent! The samosas were so delicate, and fresh- the sauces divine. I especially loved the Tamarind flavored dipping sauce- full of flavor and a hint of spice. Everything was fresh and flavorful, and the waitstaff was incredibly attentive. When we left they added a third dessert on the house, as a kindness- and we were so thankful. If you are considering trying a new cuisine- we highly recommend Mirchi for Indian Cuisine- what a lovely restaurant! My husband and I have always DoorDashed our meals from here, but we decided to dine in for the first time last night. Even though the restaurant was completely full during the dinner rush, we were seated surprisingly quickly. We usually come later in the week as a weekend and we see Mo and he is always amazing. Today was our first day meeting Moos and coincidentally our friend was in town and we thought where was the best place to show him? Mirchi of course. Moos was so nice and very attentive to us. We started off with the Chicken Samosas, which had a nice crispy golden exterior. The filling was flavor-packed, but it was a bit on the dry side, and some of it tended to fall out with each bite. That said, the dipping sauces were bright, refreshing, and really enhanced the overall flavor of the samosas. I usually prefer cilantro chutney over tamarind, but their tamarind chutney wasn't overly sweet and actually paired really well with the samosas which was a nice surprise that brought everything together. For the main, we had the Chicken Tikka Masala (medium spicy) with basmati rice, and it was absolutely on point. The masala sauce was creamy and rich, with just the right amount of heat for a medium spice level - we could feel the heat without it being overpowering. The chicken was incredibly tender, almost melting in your mouth with each bite. The portion sizes were generous and definitely looking forward to coming back and exploring more of the menu! read more

Sharing an updated review so everyone comes here and they stay in business forever :-) We usually order takeout however I have dined in and the staff is WONDERFUL! The 3 of us ordered: Seekh kabab Aloo ghobi Baigan bartha Chicken tika massala Lamb pasanda Garlic naan We were absolutely stuffed and still had at least 1/3 of the meal for leftovers. We opted to make rice at home because my grandpa makes it so well, but definitely order rice if you're dining there or don't make it yourself. The chicken tikka masala is one of the best things I've ever eaten in my life!! The seekh kabab was a new order for us and the runner-up for me! They were SO flavorful and cooked to perfection. I believe we ordered the other cauliflower dish last time (Manchurian) and liked it more, but the aloo ghobi is still great! Chicken korma was too thick - more like a paste. Weren't even flavorful - it had been cooked out. Only thing okay was rice and naan. Updating my reviews to share some news .... Mirchi now has a beer and wine license :) I had a wonderful dinner with my friend and the owner was kind enough to let me know . I did not have a glass tonight or a beer but good to know . I did however indulge in a chicken tikka masala spice level HOT. This time though .. I was dying from spice level and the owner noticed. He offered to remake my dish . So kind !!!! Also had garlic naan and rice . Always a treat to stop by . Beautiful dim lighting , soft music and a super clean space .
