Make sure you read the contract if you are having event at this venue. I had to cancel an event due to a leak without any guarantees that it would be fixed on time prior to the event. The venue couldn't accommodate the 250 guests in the style that I requested. When I contacted management , she stated go read the contract. There is no deposit refund. Lesson learned. read more

Went to this restaurant for my boyfriends grandmother repass, it was a nice venue located in Westbury Long Island. Kinda spacious and has two parts, the food was pretty good. The Macaroni Gratin was really good nice and and I loved the fish with pikliz. The chicken was alright and the rice and beans were alright as well. The overall ambience of the location is great: lots of space for seating, elegant decorations and colors, live music, you name it. The service is also very accommodating: the workers are diligent and polite. While I was here, I grabbed quite some platefuls of food. The macaroni gratin is what caught my attention for sure. The color on it is beautiful and the taste matches it. Can't complain at all: presentation, flavor, texture, it's all there. The griot (fried pork) was also made very well and the pikliz that's available to go with it enhanced it quite a bit. The chicken and sauce was rather salty, but nothing that'll stop you from eating it. The salmon had some very interesting seasonings on it. It's a unique taste for sure and it'll prompt you to grab another bite, but it has quite a strong aftertaste. Regardless, the flavor and texture here is great. The lalo was also pretty good. It had a very light taste of greenery and it was almost sweet, which I absolutely enjoyed. The sweet plantains were prepared well: warm and soft with minimal salt, can't complain. Both rices threw me for a spin however: I found that they were pretty stiff. Given that I arrived after everyone had already began eating, it's possible that I received what was at the bottom of the pot or that the rice simply wasn't prepared with enough water. I consider the rice to be the support of the meal overall, so an improvement here would be a large step for the business. We had my mother's suprise birthday party there a few weeks ago. The food and environment was good. My issue with them was the service after the event. We had tons of food left over we paid for so we were trying to pack it up and take it with us. They gave us styrofoam trays instead of the aluminum catering pans. This forced us to take a whole bunch of trays. My mom and I packed at least 20 pieces of salmon fish. When we got home, we had 4 pieces of fish. The only people left were some employees and members of our household. Music Venue. Strange place. This is a perfect place for live music- which is getting harder and harder to find on Long Island. The problem is that this was a restaurant, and may still be a restaurant, but from the outside you would never guess that this place housed live music acts! It sort of looks like a chalet or maybe a German restaurant. They should do something with the outside. Aside from the appearance, the actual venue is good. Smallish bar in the rear of the room where the bands set up- acoustically it sounded fine which is pretty amazing since the place clearly did not originate as a music venue. On the downside, it is located on Long Island and you still have some weird stuff like numbers on the tables - they apparently make you reserve tables or stand. I think they could ditch the tables and just get on with it. There was food available if you were seated - the whole affair reminded me of the setup you get at a comedy club. The bartender was competent and took care of things splendidly. Prices were average for the drinks and there was a $10 cover at the door. The bar area houses loads of signed photos from musicians - some of them doubtfully played there but they add a lot of color to the place. Terribly atrocious wait staff. Our first server never returned to our table after he brought our appetizer. We ended up flagging down another server to help us, but she was even worse than the first one. Both employees had so much attitude, no follow up, no table clean-up, putting in the incorrect order, no small plates, no napkins. We tried to order food to go and the server was so rude that we left the food behind after paying for it out of fear....The bartender was pleasant, but the bar (in the room on the parking lot side) had no sink to hold ice or a credit card machine. As a result, the bartender hat to go back and forth constantly. Also, there was no menu provided because there were only three dishes (goat, turkey, and chicken wings) available. I went here on 5/29/21 for my good friend Aunt's repast. The food was not up to par. The macaroni was burnt, they ran out of chicken and just served the scraps left that fell off the bones. They severed Tilapia filet fried, but when asked what type of fish it was 2 server's did not know.They did not have enough food for the people that were there. They ran out of soda and had the staff go to Bravo supermarket. They were not prepared once we reached. Another function was going on at the same time which ment over 300 people in the building and 1 bathroom. The wait staff had no manners and were walking around with attitudes. It took me asking 5 times for coffee then another 4 times asking for creamer. Once I received the creamer the coffee was cold. I ordered a cocktail and was told by 4 staff that they were not the bartender. The young lady who was serving the food came from behind and made my drink. I asked her how much and she stated she would get back to me. Then 45 minutes later she came and said I owed $12. So I gave her a $100 bill, she proceeded to ask the wait staff and cook for change. Once she came back she asked me for $2.00 which I didn't have due to only having the $100. So I only paid $10 which was not worth the shot I received of generic liquor. No change in a restaurant, definitely not they way to run a business. They ran out of dinner plates and mixed in salad plates with the dinner plates to serve people. The bar area was cluttered with junk and boxes making it difficult for people to navigate the makeshift buffet. If they were not prepared to accommodate the amount of people then they should not have accepted the reservation They didn't have any sort of music playing. It was supposed to be open bar but they didn't have the liquor to support it. There we guest walking across the street to the liquor store. The best thing was the patties we bought in for people to have prior to dinner. I will never patronize this place again. Management/Owners need to really look into what is being done. The owners live in a mansion would they have served this food to their guest or even provided the crappy service. I think not.
