Wonderful salon. Aesthetically, it's peaceful and pretty. It's always clean, and the staff is always SO nice. I feel relaxed here. I only go about every three months, but I ALWAYS look forward to it, it feels like I'm on vacation. I feel like it's been relatively easy to make an appointment, though I also have fairly flexible hours. Whitney, my stylist, is awesome. She listens to what you want, and executes masterfully. I normally don't write reviews but I'm so upset with my hair-- I had to write one. My hair is pretty long and I just wanted to cut off the dead ends. Johna cut my hair and I just wanted a simple trim-- she decided to do face framing which would have been fine and looked okay after she blow dryed it. The next day when I showered I realized she had cut my hair in the front so poorly it looked like someone had chopped pieces of it off randomly with little care. My hair in the front looks like a bob and then random pieces of long hair in front. Everyone at work thinks my hair has been randomly chopped up. I'm so upset because this hair cut was 99+. Immediately, Katie came up with a treatment plan and voila! My hair is so beautiful, I get compliments on the daily. If you're blonde, you need Emily O. in your life. I always look at Yelp, but don't write reviews. However, I feel like it's my civic duty to give her a glowing endorsement, and spread the word. I left my appt with the perfect blend of bright but believable blonde. Prior, I went in for a consult, and was able to schedule an appt promptly after. I've been blonde forever, but in an impulsive fit last year, box dyed it brown. YIKES. Never again. Afterward, I had two rounds of balayage at a really popular salon in Avery Ranch and was underwhelmed. Emily was able to mirror my desired result in a single appointment. Mirror Mirror is a gem. Did I love it so much that I pre-booked my next appt? DUH. Scheduling online or with their staff via phone is SO easy. I went to Jessica James last weekend for a cut, highlights, and a Kérastase conditioning treatment and my hair has never looked better. Jessica listen to what I wanted and gave me exactly that. The haircut falls perfectly and is so much easier to style now! Jessica weaved several colors into my highlights so they look rich and natural. They somehow make my fine hair look thicker too! Recently a friend of mine went to Mirror Mirror to get her hair done. She was in a time crunch and they were more than willing to get her in and get her hair colored (her normal stylist had a family emergency and canceled last minute and she was going out of town). She went to Mirror Mirror and the staff was super friendly and more than happy to work her in. As listed she was going to get her hair colored and trimmed. What she was asking for was priced at about $250.00 ..She was more than happy to pay that. In addition when they started coloring her hair they said she needed a root lift and a rooted full highlight.. In addition for some reason they needed to do a color process ... In the end they somehow came up with a total of $636.00 Are you KIDDING me? How in the world is it even right to charge someone that much for a color, highlight and trim??? For the past 8 years I have been looking for a good salon like Mirror Mirror!!! Gilbert is awesome person! He is very kind person! I had a hard time finding the place (I am usually bad at finding address), he came out and helped me find the salon.. When I asked for an appointment they were able to get me the day I wanted to have the hair cut! Kimberley did my hair cut and OMG SHE DID AWESOME HAIR CUT! I am very very picky about my hair. I used to wait until I go to a cruise vacation to get my hair cut because I had hard time finding a good salon! I got hair cut last week and everyday I look at my hair I say "What a wonderful hair cut! Just as I wanted!!" My hair is usually very thick, she made my hair thin first. I have been going to Mirror Mirror since it opened. The salon is gorgeous and Martha Lynn does good work. However, every time I went there, I almost felt like she was annoyed to be doing her job. Conversation was painful despite my multiple attempts to try and talk. Admittedly, I am usually one to just enjoy a day at the salon but my visits with her were always awkward. When my friend who recommended me to her had the same complaint, I knew it wasn't just me. I feel like in this business, people who excel at their job are abundant and it really takes more than just knowing how to do hair to keep a client coming back. "oh em gee. like how adorable is this place?" Like super adorable. I've had layers in my hair for awhile, and have been growing it out, but it has been growing out like a lion's mane on a bad day after he got hit by a truck, electrocuted, and then it rained on him. Somedays, I wake, shower, brush, and air dry, and my hair is kinda shaggy and sad. Other days, my hair is adorable. But not the day i woke and decided to cut it all off. The other day, my hair was mad at me. And I make rash decisions. With my hair. Usually it turns out bad, like "hey, i want my hair purple!" and bleach and dye, and wake up the next morning wondering what happened. So, it was one of those days. I wake, and i hate everything. My hair is on the top of the list. I look up the yelps, and i head to Mirror Mirror for an appointment with Ali. She sees that my hair is sad, and I show her what I want. Chatty conversations, wonderful massage, confidence, and humor - Ali had it all. The salon was clean and tidy, adorably decorated with cute (but not "kid cute" - like "fancy cute") frames and mirrors, and a nice selection of hair products. The other stylists seemed just as charming and professional. Greatly priced, $60 for a shampoo/cut. Ali was honest, and witty, and I will definitely be back.
