Avocado Roll - So fresh and delish! I ordered 2 of these! Oishiii!!!

Delightful return to Miso and this time I tried the AYCE higher priced menu. It didn't disappoint. Huge portions and fantastic, appetizing plating. Please note the AYCE menu highlighted notes. You can only order 1 of each RED menu item among many other amazing menu items! :0) There are many Sake options and I tried 2 of them the other night. The cute gold bottle one contains 2 gold foil Sakura/Cherry Blossoms ! Make sure to look for it and I got lucky to pour 1 into my cup! Gambattemasu! Ha! I decided to keep the empty bottle and cute gold foil blossoms! Fun! The Staff continues to delight with friendly, efficient and wonderful customer service and yummy food! Thank You again Minna-San! :0) Please support Small Family businesses like this one! I really enjoy coming here and always feel welcome and relaxed dining here! Enjoy! :0) Jyaa Mata ne!

A type of hole in the wall, but has been here for 18 years. Probably the best sushi we've ever had. Everyone is so friendly and so sweet, service is really good! Not going to lie I was skeptical at first because we typically go to other more well know places, but man was I wrong. The fish is so fresh, presentation is . I would definitely recommend this sushi place. I know I'd rather drive 30 mins to come here than go somewhere local. Bring everyone you know here! Def recommend :)

Miso was a small Sushi restaurant in a interesting architect space. Although the entry was a little different from normal eats I find that inside was just a normal sit down. I got sat down and the workers helped me out quickly. The sushi and platters were all priced reasonably and nothing seemed out of place. I would come back to try more of their signature sushi, especially the lobster roll I was eyeing. Thank you Miso, you filled up my tummy and I still had money for dessert! Yelpers, I love this place! Been coming here for years. Whether ordering pick up, door dash or dining in, the food is soooo good! Just recently we came here for dinner and ordered drinks, hot Sake, dragon roll, gyozas, salad and a bento box with sesame chicken and vegetable tempura. The sesame chicken was moist and the tempura was perfectly fried. Their miso soup was served hot and was fresh and tasty. Though we didn't order it this time around, the spicy edamame is delicious too! The service is great too : )

Came in for a quick late dinner. The restaurant was nearly empty but still cozy, the staff was very sweet, and the food delicious! I loved all the rolls, but the agedashi tofu was made differently than how I've usually had it and it wasn't my favorite.

This is a great restaurant with a nice variety of food on their menu. They have many options for sushi, fried rice, etc. The bento box is a great choice for your first time there. The box comes with a little bit of everything: rice, salad, miso soup, and two other items of choice. They have a nice selection of vegetarian rolls (which I greatly appreciate). When you buy the sushi rolls, it only comes with 8, not 10. Their zucchini skewers are really good, but I prefer them without the soy sauce. Their spring rolls are more like egg rolls. Their prices are fair, being level with other places with similar food. Inside the restaurant is a (sushi) bar area for the sushi rolls then there's the seating area to the right of that.

We did the omakase for my wife's bday, and wow, every single piece blew us away. we decided to add on amaebi and the bluefin trio!

I first started coming here because originally I went to get something really quick in the area but this restaurant is pretty amazing! It's definitely a small local restaurant but it's very much so worth the effort to come down and eat. They have a variety of different options both hot and cold, my favorite I really enjoy is the super miso soup and sushi rolls (especially the shimp and salmon). The servers are also really nice the guy who makes the sushi too he's a really great cook. The prices too are pretty affordable especially for something that tastes really great and high quality.

We came here on a Wednesday afternoon for my sisters birthday. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was really good and fresh. We ordered, hamachi collar, wagyu and otoro nigiri, lobster roll spicy, flame of love, & miso roll. It was a great experience and I will definitely come back.

Service was friendly. As for food, my party was underwhelmed. Perhaps this is typical sushi quality in Sac and if so we will probably stick with western or Chinese foods next time we are in the area. Avo Sake was just OK. Description of Flamingo was nice but execution not so good. Pieces of lemon peels are just weird in my mind. Perhaps creative but not harmonizing with the rest of the ingredients. Tinkerbell had under cooked sweet potatoes. Veggie ramen was just OK. Not a lot of flavor. Tempora cuts were too thick and better not so crunch. First time I had onion ring with three layers of onions. Not what I expect from a Japanese restaurant. Tempera mushrooms were OK but don't expect light and crispy tempora better you get from a good Japanese restaurant. Tonkatsu had no base seasoning and only rely on the sauce. Again just OK. Veggie 'Japansese' fried rice was just too heavy. I'm not trying to keep you away from this restaurant but rather trying to set your expectations accordingly so that you actually may end up with a decent meal if you lowered your expectations.

Came here after reading a few reviews and oh boy, they were not wrong. This place truly is a hidden gem. Great interior and bar, superb service with great advice from our server. My girlfriend and I both did the omakase and were not disappointed. I cannot believe this is right across the street from the tower theater and I have never been!

I wish I took pictures of the interior, as it felt so intimate and the seats were comfortable. The food of course, are the stars of the show, and I've never been blown away from how good everything was. The Pad See Ew had a yummy smoky, wok hei flavor that not a lot of places incorporate. The ribeye is cooked perfectly, green curry has a nice coconut sweetness to it. And the laotian sausage, paired with their sauce and sticky rice hits the spot. This place was indeed comforting and my only regret is not trying more items. If you're craving southeast asian cuisine in an intimate atmosphere, I can't recommend this place enough.

Both packed a good amount of heat at the spicy level, which we loved. The Lao sausage was also super flavorful, but as soon as you cut it, the inside does fall apart a bit. It's a personal preference to have a denser sausage. Service was also ok. We found ourselves needing to call over the waitress a couple times, since we were just sitting waiting to order or get a box and check at the end. Flavors are worth coming back for tho.

Yes, today was our first. I'm a sucker for excellent customer service and Cafe Burma and Mikayla had me at HELLO. LOL NOTE: I DIDN'T DO ANY PRE- REVIEW UPON ARRIVING. The husband wanted a Monday Date night and who am I to say No. What we had: *Planta with Chicken Coconut Dip. This planta is a crossover of naan with Mochi like middle with the prefect crisp served with an amazing Chicken sauce. Yah...will be having this again. Hubby had most of it because I was saving my appetite for what's to come. *TeaLead Salad - Yes its a MUST. The fried seasoned garlic is the secret to why this salad hits the palate in the most perfect way. The dressing is oil based which wasn't over powering or even greasy. The peanut was tastefully done. Yes - I ate most of it. Fresh ingredients in every bite. *Chili Basil Beef - at first glance, it looked like Mongolian Beef but far from the taste. The cumin, ginger and chili flakes gave this dish the wow factor. Mind you, I dislike ginger pieces and didn't come across one piece so they must have used ginger powder which I appreciate. We all know the benefits of ginger and I feel like I got a dose of it without biting into one. *PadThai - we were warned that the Burmese way come with a hint of sweetness and this was definitely true but notoverpowering. Husband enjoyed it, me not so much. The dishes came with extra large prawns. You can tell the prawns we're seasoned first hand before getting tossed into the mix. DRINKS: Husband had the coconut monsoon (rum with coconut flakes and I had Bite Dog HAZY IPA - yum. Prime location - corner of 16th street and J, street parking. Restaurant was clean and with a bar and open kitchen concept. What I would have liked: I wish the aesthetic of the restaurant showcased the culture. Wish the dishes were served in a more traditional serving plates. My eyes eat first so I would have appreciated the extra touch but the TASTE definitely made up for it. Will definitely be back! Need to try a dessert next time. Thanks for having us Chef Burma.
