We passed by Miso Mazza one day and immediately we were drawn to their aesthetic. We came across their restaurant week menu and figured it was the best time to try them out! We popped in on a Friday evening and it was decently busy. They had been open for maybe 4 months or so and they were still working out some kinks but nevertheless, staff was very friendly and food was really good! My favorite of the night, hands down, was the miso matcha strawberry margarita! I wouldn't hesitate to come back just for that drink alone! You're on fed hill, so expect it to be fed hill pricey. I personally wouldn't frequent this establishment on the daily because it is on the pricier side, but i wouldn't count this place out for a special date night or girls night occasion.

I'm loving the hand rolls here and went back a second time for it. It's a pretty restaurant right on Atwells Ave. Both times we went, it was noon so definitely wasn't busy. Second time was a snowstorm. Foods I enjoyed: crispy rice with truffle, truffle fries, wagyu stick appetizer (first time only...second time came out cold). Shrimp appetizer (bc they ran out of prawns) but it was the perfect cook and delicious sauce to accompany it. The Wagyu entree with parsnip puree was very scrumptious and I'd order it again. All the hand rolls were delicious: Wagyu, toro, scallop...all of them. Wasn't a fan of the pesto pasta bc to me, it wasn't green enough and needed more pesto. But their yuzu cheesecake dessert makes up for that! It also helps that the owner is very sweet and friendly. Will definitely be back to sample more hand rolls.

5 hand rolls: spicy salmon, spicy tuna, spicy yellowtail, butter crab, and truffle scallop. All on point!

In town from Los Angeles and decided to try this quirky fusion place. The butter crab and truffle scallop hand rolls were standouts. The squid ink pasta with fried calamari was phenomenal. House made pasta was perfectly cooked, and the fresh tomato flavor was bright and inviting. Reminded me of my grandma's cooking! Waiter was personable and attentive. Food came out at a reasonable pace. Would definitely come back next time I'm in Providence.

Came in for a girls dinner. It was amazing! The menu is really interesting. We tried a couple of the pastas and lots of the hand rollls. The server was so friendly and very funny! We got there about 7 and it was pretty empty but it was hopping when we left! The price is a little high but the quality seems really good.

Had a great pre-birthday dinner here. I love the interior and the way they designed. It's intimate and welcoming. Friendly staff. I enjoyed the food and cocktails, especially the crispy rice. I'll be back to try more from the menu.

Newly opened, Miso Mozza is a Japanese, Italian fusion restaurant, incorporating both Japanese and Italian flavors in its menu. The Uni Carbonero was so delicious. Uni and Ikura (salmon eggs) mixed in with the luxurious carbonara sauce. The noodles cooked to a perfect al dente. The Hamachi (Yellow Tail) crudo was another standout. Topped with jalapeño.and a yuzu dressing that was bright and clean. So good! Service was excellent and everyone pitched in to make sure our dinner was amazing. Thank you Joy, we had wonderful time.

The Drinks are great. The Lychee Martini is my new favorite and it's only $12. The sushi hand rolls are delicious and are only $8. The bartending staff is super friendly and attentive. This is a new "go-to" for me. I highly recommend this establishment.

A fantastic fusion of two of my favorite cuisines -- Japanese and Italian. We were fortunate to try it during Providence Restaurant Week when they offered a lovely three-course prix fixe meal for only $35. I started with the Toro Truffle Crispy Rice that I paired with a lovely sake and also tried my friend's wagyu skewer with chimichurri sauce. Both were excellent! We both had the pappardelle Miso Mozza al ragu, which was finished with a rich fois gras butter. The yuzo cheesecake was a perfect ending. The restaurant had a small but nice list of sake, wine, beer, and cocktails to match the Japanese and Italian dishes. Both the atmosphere and the service were lovely. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

The Happy hour deal is amazing! Got to try so many amazing dishes from the menu. The crispy rice tuna starter was amazing as were the hand rolls. More filling than I thought it would be! Each hand roll had a unique flavor definitely worth a try and the cocktails were delicious as well.

This is a really cute Italian restaurant on Atwells. I came here on a weekday with some of my girlfriends. We had a great time here, but or so because of the vibes and less so for the food. In December, the interior was decorated so beautifully with a lot of holiday decor, which made for really cozy and great deep spots. We personally did not order any drinks, but it seems like drinks are really popular here. They also try to blend some Japanese cuisine into this restaurant, which I'm not totally sure hit. We got the hand rolls because they looked quite good and the fish looked quite fresh, however, was a bit disappointed with how Much rice there was in comparison to the fish. It almost felt like you couldn't taste the fish as much because of how much rice was in the hand roll. For the pasta, I really love the concept, and it made a lot of sense. However, it just wasn't as satisfying as I thought it would be. It was a little bland, But the texture of the pasta was great. They make handmade pasta in the restaurant which you could tell. Overall, would probably come back for a cute date night, however, more so for the vibes and ambience, and would probably get a drink next time!

Sesame Salmon, Spicy Tuna, Scallop Hand Roll Set 3

Service was amazing! I enjoyed the Waygu Skewers, truffle fries, soft shell crab, and the 3 set of handroll sushi (Spicy Tuna, Seasame Salmon, Scallop). All the food was delicious! The spicy tune and salmon roll were so amazing, the scallop roll was my least favorite. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great as well plenty of space to not be overcrowded during a busy Saturday night.

Good flavors and love that they have tofu / are accessible to other diets. I did think the dish was a little too oily but I still would get it again and have since I first tried. The honey cake is also delicious! They call it "not your average honey cake) but I've not had an average one to compare to, so the hunt continues lol. I was expecting the typical thin rice noodle from a package but these were the real thing. They were thick and the perfect texture. It's like the thickness of udon but texture of rice noodle. It is a tad oily which makes sense because I think the sauce is made with chili oil. I also tried the honey cake. The cake is moist, and paired well with the ice cream. I did not put much of the honey on top because it was already really sweet as is. It was an enjoyable slice of cake to finish the meal off. Great place and delicious food! I would order here again but open to try their other items than re-ordering what I had today.

We were sadly in a rush and had to be out by a certain time to catch a show, and our server understood the assignment and got us out on the tight schedule we needed. I'm just sad I had to slurp down my soup so quickly as it was absolutely DELICIOUS! I ordered the Snow Mountain Ramen - the creamy tofu broth is unlike anything I've had and was so so unique and delicious. I thought about it for at least a week straight after eating it and am still dying to go back to get more. I also got the Iced Rose Matcha drink - $10 felt too pricy for this but I wanted a fun drink and a little caffeine kick - and again the flavors were unique and tasty. Both my friend and I happened to see someone we knew here - it's definitely a popular spot! It was packed on a Saturday night but it was still pretty quick for us to get a table for 2. Being a downtown city restaurant, the tables feel a bit cramped and I was a little too close to the table next to me for comfort - claustrophobics beware (honestly the soup is worth it though!!) Parking is pretty easy in the lot, although Holy crap they need to fix the potholes / harsh drop-off where it meets the street, and it still was not fully plowed many weeks after the big snowstorm (it's a shared lot so not a Y Noodle specific issue, but just saying). The only thing that was unpleasant were the bathrooms - I get it was a busy weekend night, but they reeked of a litter box the second you stepped in, the floor was dirty and very wet with unknown substances, and the Dyson hand dryer is at such a weird, too high level on the wall that it sprayed water in my face. Everything else was a dream, can't wait to go back! Hopefully the bathrooms were just a fluke.

I got the fried fish with ginger scallion. A bit messy to eat but probably the best fish I ever ate in my life. It was fried whole (almost whole. No head included) and over a salad of lettuce, cucumber, and tomato then slathered with the most delicious ginger scallion sauce ever. In my head I was thinking that this would be an excellent keto meal but the sauce definitely has some sweetness and thickened with cornstarch. We also ordered chicken nime chow. The chicken is not sauced or anything so you would think it would be plain tasting. But what ever they do to it it brings out the flavor of the chicken. The dipping sauce was not super flavorful. Slightly sweet and acidic topped with crushed peanuts. Teapot was served with a very fragrant tea. Had to ask for a refill. Come on ... how much does it cost you to actually throw in a tiny cup of hot mustard? I mean, who doesn't eat hot mustard with Chinese food? It used to be that Chinese food was a fast and cheap dinner ... a combo meal here is $18, after substitution. I want to know ... who the fuck has ever actually eaten a shitty chicken wing from a Chinese restaurant without substituting it out? Probably nobody. You eat fresh BBQ chicken wings at a tailgate, not from a dirty restaurant the size of a college dorm room. Of course they know any sane person with working taste buds will substitute nasty skimpy wings for something else ... so they include them in every combo meal knowing people will pony up the extra $1.50 - $2.50. A combo with 3 crab rangoon, 3 chicken fingers (substituted for wings) and an egg roll now costs almost $20. The quality here is on par with a mall food court ... which is to say, not great. Dry AF fried rice with fatty cubes of pork which have the consistency and taste of a pencil eraser. The rice was almost chewy it was so dry amd barely tasted like pencil shavings it was so bland. The crab rangoon was decent ... filled with fake cream cheese and almost no crab. If you are drunk, it's fine and filling. Nothing you couldn't throw in an air fryer from a frozen box. The chicken fingers were okay. Likeky frozen a year ago and thrown into a deep fat frier hours before you ordered and kept under a heat lamp. If you are drunk or high, you'll leave a 4/5 star review. There is a nice seating area with chairs & tables, and there is also a counter with chairs next to the window. We'll be back earlier in the day next time to see the full selection of sushi.

This PVD location feels like a smaller version of a Japanese supermarket found in Japan. The food…read moreselection is almost the same as what you will find in Japan. From soft drinks, green tea, iced coffee in a can, Japanese pickles, frozen fish and delicacies, etc. The way food isle is arranged, I think, is also very "Japanese" in an authentic way, as if I am back in Japan. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, even though I personally do not need help in translating the Japanese labels to English, whenever my wife goes there, everyone is very helpful. She works only a few blocks away in Downcity, so going there to shop or eat is super easy. She does not have to find parking there when she can simply walk there. We often go there to have our favorite - katsudon and gyudon. She loves these donnuri dishes. I showed her how to make them at home, as they are super simple to make.
