    Nigiri Deluxe

Great local sushi joint with quality fish and great combo options. It's one of the hidden gems in CH. I usually go for the Deluxe Nigiri which comes with a nice assortment of sushi and also a cut roll. There's not a whole lot of seating so it can get packed sometimes with a waitlist.

Time to update review. It still a great place for dinner. Food is great every time we have come. Service is excellent every time. We love the miso dressing on the salad that we always have a bottle at home.

This chirashi bowl from Ojiya was such a satisfying meal -- spicy tuna, tuna, salmon, yellowtail, albacore, surf clam, sweet shrimp, tamago, tobiko, and all the little toppings that make every bite different. The miso soup and salad on the side made it feel like the perfect comfort meal. Picked this up to go, and it still hit the spot just as much at home. Definitely one of those bowls you take your time enjoying.

I cannot believe it's been 11 years since my last review, which means I've been frequenting this restaurant for even longer. On the plus side, definitely still a 5 star rating from me. This is literally the only non AYCE sushi place I'll go to. I've tried all the other sushi places (and there's a lot) near me, and the quality elsewhere doesn't compare to here. I'll agree the prices at a bit higher here as well than other places, but it truly makes up for it in food quality! If you've never been here before, coming into the restaurant it'll look like a small hole in the wall restaurant from Japan. They even have a wooden overhang in the booth sections to give it that Japanese feel. There are a couple mini bench seats in the front waiting area. People are usually standing up or waiting outside. There's only a handful of tables and booths, so there's usually a wait. Make sure to put your name down on the paper when you get in for the waiting list so you don't lose your spot. The ambiance may seem a little dark when walking in, but once you get seated there's ample lighting to see the menu and to eat. The food and service are still top notch. I love anything I get from here. My usual is the bento box though since it comes pretty much with everything for a meal. If not, I'll opt for the salmon skin salad as my 2nd choice. I've pretty much tried everything on the menu by now.. and nothing disappoints. Leah has been our server for years.. and she is the best! Always friendly and with a smile. Quick to take our order, bring drinks, refills.. anything we need. Can't beat great food and service. If you're looking for a local sushi place, gotta give this a try. Stop by and ask for Leah if she's available! You won't be disappointed!

Chirashi Deluxe. Tuna, yellowtail, salmon, albacore, shrimp, salmon roe, scallop, sea urchin (uni), river eel, egg, real crab

Love this place. I had the Chirashi Deluxe. Tuna, yellowtail, salmon, albacore, shrimp, salmon roe, scallop, sea urchin (uni), river eel, egg, and real crab. I am no carbs right now so instead of rice I got a second salad. 2 salads! Nice. I also had miso soup and a nigori sake but I can't remember the saki brand. They also have an unmarked bottle of spices on the table, that was really good. I put that stuff on everything. Even in my soup. It was amazing. Served super quick.

Went to Ojiya Sushi and We lowkey kept looking at each other after every bite Like, it's that good!! sat at the bar and the chefs were seriously the sweetest!! Super attentive making bang after bang amazing nigiri. We ordered so much, The nigiri quality honestly caught us off guard. Everything tasted insanely fresh and buttery and you can tell the fish quality speaks for itself & the sushi sizes wow!! We had toro, yellowtail, scallop, hamachi seared nigiri these especially melted immediately. One of those places where you accidentally keep ordering "just one more plate." Definitely worth sitting at the bar for the full experience & amazing ambiance and service. The list on their Special Menu is definitely a must have!! 1000/100

The place is always packed with long waits. The dishes they offer are what you would expect at standard sushi restaurants. Good place for a regular meal but wouldn't recommend for special occasions.

The wife and I decided to come out on a week night to have a nice dinner. Ojiya is a cozy neighborhood Japanese restaurant and follows the old standard of closing between lunch and dinner. As always unless you come just as the open up for dinner is expect to wait to be seated. It took about 20 minutes to be seated for dinner today. Once seated they were pretty fast with asking us what we wanted to eat. Miso soup is a comforting start - umami flavors and tofu in a warm broth. This was followed with a green salad with the house dressing. The lettuce and vegetables were fresh but the dressing is the start (you can buy bottles to use at home. We started with the ika (squid) as an appetizer. It's a hot August evening so unagi (eel) is always a good choice. The wife got the seabass (our favorite). All meals come with miso soup, salad, and white steamed rice. All were extremely tasty! The squid was fresh and had a nice snap (not rubbery). The seabass was buttery (perfect). The grilled unagi and sauce over steamed rice is just perfection on a summer evening. Though the prices are higher than before the pandemic , Ojiya is back to their pre pandemic food quality and service standards. All in all a five star experience.

Came here to eat dinner since my party is craving sushi for dinner. This place is so cute with all the Japanese theme. Interior is great. But the service needs to be more attentive to their customers. But the food and everything else is delish and awesome. Now check out my reviews with yummy food.

Came here on date night at my girlfriend's recommendation. Hidden in a small little plaza dwarfed in size by a bowling alley, the place bravely displays SUSHI - Best in Town. If you judge by appearances, you may question this, but after dining here you won't. The place is on the small size, providing you the option of dining at a sushi bar or at a table. There were three talented sushi chefs, along with a full compliment of restaurant staff. We both ordered combination boxes, my girlfriend opting for Sashimi and Tempura, while I selected California Roll, Spicy Tuna and Teriyaki Chicken. Both orders came with rice and Miso Soup. Everything was delicious and I never wanted to stop eating. Service was excellent, friendly and attentive. Upon leaving the entire staff will thank you for dining with them. I look forward to coming back here many more times and being a bit more adventurous with my selections. The menu is quite diverse with choices for all levels of sushi eaters.

Favorite sushi spot in Chino! Cozy atmosphere with kind staff. The wait is always long during prime dining time, so I recommend either coming early or closer to closing. My go to is the sushi boat. Generous portion sizes and can easily feed 2-3! I made the mistake once of swapping the chicken teriyaki with white meat. The chicken ended up being very tough and dry. Recommend sticking with the chicken leg teriyaki instead.

It's Great to have Authentic Japanese near by where you can feel good to bring new friends. Please to see them enjoy their food.

This Japanese restaurant is surprisingly very good. They are located in a strip mall with free parking. I think you need to come early to avoid waiting in a line. I ordered the chirashi deluxe bowl. It was so fresh, so good. The server lady was very patient with our huge group. We had about ten people or so, celebrating a birthday. I think she gave the birthday person a free dessert! Bathroom available. Credit card accepted.

Great for dine in or takeout. We get takeout at least once a week. The food is amazing and fresh. Their Japanese curry is good too.

    Do they take reservations?

Nope 😔 walk in basis and always busy, be prepared to wait, but it's worth the wait!

Can. Any1 get though the Phone number I tried to call them and no one is Picking Up the phone 34 time and keep getting Busy or some kind of Answer Machine is this the Correct Phone number?

Yes ,we know the feeling. During the busy times to place a take out order is a act of god. They are there but no one picks up the phone.

Is this placed closed!? Called them one too many times and it just rings?

It's open, I just ordered from there yesterday. They are just really busy. They have two numbers listed, you should try both 909-606-8638 or 909-606-8632.

    Do they have gift cards?

They do! Just not the small plastic ones were used to.

    Open now for dine-in?

    Take out only

    Do they take reservation?

No it’s a walk in first come first served. I’d get there before they open. They did allow u to put your name on sign in list before it opened. Not sure they still do this.

Is this place all you can eat?

    No it is not.

Any one know if they still do omakase?

Yes, they do. It's the only way I order when I go

Chino's hidden gem! Everyone go try Bengee Sushi!…read more We were in Chino over the weekend for some board games and randomly searched for a lunch spot nearby. Ended up at Bengee Sushi and... wow. Completely exceeded expectations. I honestly didn't know Chino had such solid Japanese food We both ordered their Lunch Specials -- around $25 each, which is such a great deal. Since I'm not a big tempura person, we skipped the bento boxes and went straight for the good stuff. We got one Chirashi Bowl, and the moment it came out we were shocked. So much sashimi! Thick cuts, super fresh, and none of that fishy leftover-trim vibe. The sushi rice underneath was really good too -- not overly sweet or sour, just balanced. The other dish we ordered was the Sashimi Lunch, and again, super generous portion with way more variety than I expected. No shortcuts, no skimping. It also comes with miso soup and salad, both clean and tasty. We added hot tea, which hit the spot on a colder day. That feeling of "randomly picking a place and accidentally finding a great spot" is honestly unmatched They also offer a $79 omakase, plus a more premium $135 one (reservation required). After seeing how generous they are with their lunch portions, I'm definitely coming back for that next time. In short: amazing value. If you love sashimi and find yourself in Chino, this place is absolutely worth the visit.

This place is unreal and every time we come here we are blown away with how good it is!…read more This review is long overdue! The rolls are stuffed so big that they can barely fit in your mouth, the fish is incredibly fresh, and the variety is top notch. Some of our favorites include... the sunset, 4 corner, the crunch hand roll, the Cajun yellowtail, the samurai , and the salmon belly. Holy cow the 4 corner roll is our new favorite! What the heck the magical seared Cajun salmon literally melts in your mouth. And because it's Cajun it has those smoky flavors that mesh so well with the sauces. Our eyes were rolling to the back of our heads with this one. Sunset is our go to. Salmon outside and crab inside. Perfection and the bite size portions are huge! The crunch roll was ginormous!!! So good! I was craving a shrimp tempura roll but wanted the nori so this hit the spot. It had shrimp tempura, avocado, and an overflowing amount of crab! We loved the 4 corner roll so much, our server recommend the Cajun yellowtail nigiri.... Insane. The samurai was really good too. Shrimp tempura, crab, and avocado inside and spicy tuna and fried eel outside. The salmon belly was crazy good. I've never tasted salmon so soft and melty. Asha our server was so so amazing! She brought us the salmon belly on the house, she was patient, kind, attentive, and so friendly :) Please do not hesitate to come here when you are craving some good sushi, great service, and the best ambiance!!!! Our favorite hands down!

WILL NOT BE RETURNING. poor food quality and service, but on top of that, terrible management.
