Inside was clean and very modern. Wait staff was nice, but service was slow because there was only one waitress for the restaurant. However, she did her best. Good food was served here. We ordered the gyoza, spicy shrimp ramen and steak with chicken hibachi plate. All the food was pretty good. Ginger dressing for the salad was one of the best I had. The yummy sauce was good, but I wish they had ginger sauce for the hibachi plate. Everything was filling portion wise. A big amount of food for not too bad of a price. Overall I was underwhelmed. Much better sushi places around town. This was a pick up order via UberEats. Have ordered from here before but will not in the future. The good: not too much rice on the rolls. Some places overdo the rice and skimp on the fillings. Miso does not and that is a plus! I met a friend here for a late lunch. She suggested this restaurant, partly because her friend's daughter works here. (We saw her close to when we were leaving.) It's in a strip mall & you wouldn't notice it if you weren't looking for it. From the outside, it looks like nothing, but it's rather nice inside. I ordered the bento box with salmon, as I couldn't make up my mind about what I wanted, and this had a nice variety. My friend had the chicken hibachi. We also both got the salad & miso soup. The miso soup was very good -- lots of flavor and well-balanced. And the salad, while very simple, was delicious. You really can't beat that ginger dressing! The bento box was served on a lovely plate & came with a good sized piece of salmon, onions, and broccoli with a lovely light, slightly sweet sauce. There was a scoop of rice, 3 pieces of sushi and 2 dumplings (I don't remember what they're called). It was absolutely delicious! I loved every bite. My friend got the chicken hibachi. Back when I was still working in Troy, I discovered this place because it was close to the office and I could order them through Doordash. They always had really good deals on their delivery site, so I figured I'd try them out. I came here today and finally sat down in the restaurant and I loved it. Let me tell you, I'm not a sushi connoisseur, but this sushi is really good! I've gotten a few different rolls from them and every time I loved it. The other thing, is they have fantastic lunch deals both via doordash and for dining in house. I was there during lunch hour anyway, and you can get 2 rolls and a bowl of soup for $11 and change. Or, you can get three rolls and soup for $14. How can anyone say no? Plus, the variety of rolls was really super good. I'm not going to list them all, so go check out their website. The Miso soup's always so good here too. That's usually my go to soup for most places that are Asian fare. My server was really good and even though hardly anyone was dining in, she took care of me. Having eaten at a few places around town, I'm willing to drive the 10 miles from home to get here. Why? Their on point with everything. Price and a REALLY good selection of food. I love this place! I think this is one of my go-to for Japanese food. Not for sushi/sashimi, but more for kitchen stuffs (or maybe some fusion rolls). Their menu is huge! I also shared the Sweet Girl Roll (tuna, avocado, and salmon on the inside topped with yellowtail, jalapeno, and salmon roe). For the bento, the quantity of food is definitely enough to fill me up. The taste of the teriyaki sauce itself is standard, but there's something about every component of the bento working together that makes it a pleasant lunch. The roll is small but taste-wise is fresh. The jalapeno adds a nice kick. It was a nice lunch but to be honest the first time it didn't leave much impression. I like it but just ok. The second time I came back was for dinner and somehow the experience felt better than the first. I was very impressed with all the food we ordered that night. I had tempura platter that was served with salad and shared a sweet potato roll. Generous, generous portion. The tempura batter was thin and crispy. It wasn't too greasy. The dipping sauce gives a light feeling to it despite the whole thing being fried. The salad was fresh with a tangy and refreshing dressing. So we asked someone to send her over. She asked if everything was alright? We told her the chicken was raw! showed them his itcwas still pink, fatty, and bloody. A hidden gem, as its quite low key in its location and presence among the department outlet stores. Walking in I was impressed by their humble yet effective interior design. I didnt order as much as I normally would, since I had big plans for dinner already. I started off with the soft shell crab. Excellent preparation, which they cut it up for you, making it easier to share with the table. Crispy outside with not too much breading, a tender but not mushy inside, and a juicy, seafood taste that tells me its fresh! The mackeral sashimi and salmon toro here is also great! They have a noticeable flavor that merits its price. The spicy tuna roll was not here, even though the rice they use its quite limp and gummy. The Amazing Roll was kinda underwhelming. What should be a polyamorous marriage of fishy flavors felt more like half ass Christmas cards with just the words Thanks written by hand. The shrimp and salmon stood out much more than the other flavors, but my sashimi definitely had more flavor.
