We had the Traditional Ramen- hmm, lacked some flavor and noodles were slightly undercooked. Beef was very tender though. I would like to try the Miso Ramen next time just to see if that's good. I enjoyed the Dragonfly Roll- very delicious! I would give 4 stars for that roll. I think it's best to stick with the sushi. I would return again- probably 3.5 star rating overall. Wasn't impressed with this place. Came to try the ramen that everyone hipped up. The inside felt dark and dingy, it was dinner time around 6:30 on a Saturday and only one table was taken in the entire restaurant. We chose to sit outside since the weather was perfect. The staff was nice, she came and wiped down the table outside for us. Food came super fast, but we didn't really like it. The sushi kind of tasted like Kona Grill, not fresh, LOTS of batter on the fried shrimp, the rice was a little stale. Idk when I get sushi at my local sushi place it taste super fresh! And I just didn't get that here, it felt like something was missing, like yes they all looked pretty but the taste just wasn't there for me. The tames was a complete fail for us, she recommended the pork belly ramen, and I was expecting crispy belly like they showed in their menu pictures, well the pork belly was just sliced thin steamed pork belly, not my thing AT ALL, way too fatty, and didn't like the flavor of it. I love the service and I highly recommend the Yaki Udon. My husband loved the Poke when they have it. Typical ambiance but clean.

I ate here a few months after they first opened. It was not busy when we went so I was scared that the food quality would not be good but d*mn did they prove me wrong. I went with 2 other people and every dish we ordered was made with a lot of thought. The uni was so fresh and the pork belly in the bao was so soft that we had to order seconds. The waiter was very nice and professional and the atmosphere was zen. I went here when I visit Michigan from Ohio and I couldn't wait to go back. Unfortunately, I moved back in May2020 when we were still on lockdown due to the pandemic that I couldn't get a chance to go back to try it again. I didn't have high expectations for this restaurant. It appears to be a quieter spot, mostly used by those picking up to-go orders. Wow, was I wrong in my assumptions. The establishment is clean, there are booths on one side and tables on the other. The sushi was fresh and prepared excellently. I was pleased that they didn't just slather yum yum sauce or spicy mayo onto everything--to the point where you can no longer taste the sushi--and call it a day. No, the recipes were well thought out and the sushi was prepared with care. Soooooo pleasantly surprised with this place! We ordered 5 rolls and the Tuna Pizza to go. It was ready when we arrived and it was a totally contactless pickup. The food was fantastic too! Coming from NY, I'm very picky with Sushi. This was excellent quality and presentation and it tasted great. We had the: Miso House Roll (my favorite), the Red Sun, Coconut Roll (very different but very nice taste), and then a Spicy Salmon and Spicy Crab Roll. I ordered the Spicy Maki Combo which is supposed to be a spicy tuna roll, spicy salmon roll and spicy yellow tail roll.. it wasn't spicy, it wasn't three different rolls, hell, even the "wasabi" was terrible. There are so many sushi restaurants in the area, which makes for plenty of competition and that creates a challenge when trying to give five stars. We ordered yum yum shrimp, pork gyoza, salmon pizza, spicy tuna roll, and two house green salads. The food had great flavor and the salmon pizza was a creative idea, but I think there was too much mayo on them. The restaurant looked cool inside and it was extremely clean. This place is a hidden gem. My wife will only eat cooked rolls, and the cooked rolls here were by far the best I've had in the metro Detroit area and my raw rolls were excellent as well. We also had a bowl of ramen, which seems to be something they offer just because they can, but there was just nothing special or exciting about it. Food: I likes sushimi, tasted fresh with a good texture, but rice seemed to be not fresh and soft enough with combination with fish. I would go with Noble Fish for now. Solid addition to the Troy area. Went to this place on a whim with the family and was pleased with the experience overall. The decor is very nice, with lots of wood and comfortable seats. The waitress/hostess was a super pleasant and made an effort to greet my kids. She also provided extra bowls and a to-go cup with a lid without me asking. A big plus. We ordered a bowl of Pork Belly Bun, Udon and a couple of rolls (Miso, Troy and Eel Cucumber). The Pork Belly Bun was very tasty and had a nice kick, but the pork belly they used was pretty thin and particularly fatty. They also used a sliver of iceberg lettuce of cucumber that make it look kind of dinky. The Udon was had a tasty broth, but it was not Udon. It had cabbage and was served with very unappetizing boiled chicken. As for the sushi, the presentation was spot on. The specialty rolls were both on point. Nice flavor and not too much rice, which was good as it was not best sushi rice. The eel and cucumber rolls had way to much cucumber and not enough eel. I had one roll that was pretty much all cucumber. The time between ordering and the delivery of the sushi felt pretty long, BUT I chalk this up to growing pains. In sum, I generally liked what I had, but a bit overpriced for what you get. There is room for improvement, and I will be sure to try this place again. read more

I've eaten here three times. Once using grubhub, twice dined in. It's fairly new, but make no mistake, their sushi here is very fresh! I used to have to drive a half hour to Novi to eat my favorite sushi, but no more. Now it's but a 5 minute drive away. The cuts of sashimi here are THICK. No skimpies here. Sushi is buttery, tuna is fatty, and the yellowtail doesn't have a fishy odor like many other places I have been to in Metro Detroit. I do recommend the Yellowtail Jalapeno...it is one of my favorites--but be careful, it packs a spicy punch (not for those who can't handle a good level of spice). One thing I do not recommend here (unless they improve it) is their udon. It's very bland and almost on par with instant noodle broth and has very basic toppings. If you go here, get the sushi. You won't be disappointed with the quality of the fish and rice. read more
