Stopped into Miso's after trivia last week. First time visiting this spot, but we were welcomed in by the young ladies working. They have a few coolers with many flavors of ice cream available. The workers were happy to offer us samples and in the end I got 2 scoops, one of some sort of Cookie Monster blue cookies and creamish style ice cream and I believe brownie batter. Both flavors were delicious and they hit the spot for a sweet treat craving. The shop is small with only one or two tables inside, but a small patio outside to sit and enjoy your treat. Pricing seems to be on par with other local ice cream shops, and service was helpful and friendly. I'd recommend this spot to others. read more

There is nothing like a creamy and cold ice cream on a hot and sunny Summer day. And while visiting High Point, North Carolina, I inquired among the locals for a nice place to have some good ice cream.They suggested Miso's Ice Cream and off I went to try it out. It is located in a small strip mall off North Main Street with plenty of parking. The front of the Ice Cream Shop is decorated very lively and you can see how much they appreciate their High Point University customers from a large welcome sign they have up letting them know this. The first thing that got my attention when I went in, besides how clean and organized the place was, was the great variety of offerings they had. I've been in order Ice Cream Parlors that serve Hershey's Ice Cream before and was aware of the many flavors they have to offer, but here besides the 64 flavors, they seem to have a variety of ways to have your ice cream, as well as other items such as smoothies and frozen lemonade, just to name a few. And to motivate you to explore the different ways of having your ice cream, they have pictures on the wall showing them. Even though the place was small with very few tables and chairs, it was already decorated for the Fall with colored leaves all over and small pumpkins on the table, creating a festive ambiance in which to enjoy some good ice cream. A young lady greated me with a smile and gave me a warm welcome. Since I was in the area to attend a Dinner Party that evening, I didn't want to get anything large; just a medium size cup of a nice flavor ice cream. The employee was so nice and helpful that when I asked her about a flavor besides explaining it she offered to give me a try on a tiny spoon. I tried the flavor Road Runner Raspberry and I instantly loved it. Tonight was my first time at Misos. I was overwhelmed with how delicious everything sounded! I finally went with the Baklava sundae. I choose bourbon brown sugar, oatmeal cookie, and Tipsy Peach. While you can go with simple scoops or cones here, there are also plenty of other treats to enjoy, ranging from shakes, sundaes, and smoothies to frappes, kunafa, and baklava. During a recent visit, my wife and I tried a baklava sundae and an upside-down banana split. The former features flaky pastry and your choice of ice cream (coconut in this case). Dig your way down to the bottom layer, and you'll like what you find. The upside-down split takes all of the split components and places them in a long cup. Fresh fruit, chocolate, and peanuts are a winning combination. Owners Rana and Ahmed are friendly and amenable to letting you sample until you find your desired flavor. While our concoctions ran $6 apiece, simpler scoops can be had for far less. The neighborhood ice cream shop seems almost an anachronism, but Miso's shows that it can still be done quite well. read more

Very friendly staff, very generous portions and extremely reasonable prices! I only got a picture of the milkshake after my son ate one of the cookies off of it . The other cones/cups all were devoured too quickly . This is a very small shop with seating for like four people inside and maybe another eight to ten outside, so it's more of a take it to go option. This place is in a small strip with not a lot of parking but no problems in Sunday's. This little ice cream shop was a dessert shop stop for our family one Sunday after eating lunch in the area. So glad we found it. When we find places like this we always get something different for everyone so we can figure out what we like best. There is a wide variety and plenty to choose from. Ya'll, if you like ice cream, then this is your new go-to place. They had so many options to choose from. It was actually really tough to land on one. The shop is in a small shopping plaza and we didn't have any trouble finding parking. We went around 7 pm so some of the stores in the plaza was already closed. The staff were super friendly and greeted us as we walked in. They quickly mentioned we could have samples if we wanted to try any of the flavors. I had a taste of pumpkin, and it tasted just like a pumpkin pie! Yum! If I just got a scoop of ice cream the pumpkin pie would be a nice choice. Before visiting I saw some photos of their "fancy milkshakes" so I was sold on getting one of those. They had several options to choose from and had clear photos of each. The ice cream scooper lady also said we could mix and match and use different ice cream flavors if we didn't like the options on the board. So, if you aren't sold on the ones they created, you make your own! So fun! I decided to go with the cookie monster milkshake. The ice cream was blue cookies and cream, two chocolate chip cookies (making cute ears), whipped cream with blue sprinkles, and an oreo cookie rim on the outside of the cup! Talk about a dream dessert! The milkshake was also a great consistency. It's not the super thick kind of shake where you have to wait for it to melt, or suck your straw really hard to get the bare minimum out. It was perfect! Smooth, creamy, and sweet. They also have a rewards program which is always nice to have if you are a local. You buy 7 of anything, get one free!
