I've been getting my nails done here for 2 years and the guy that works there, RANDY, is extremely rude. I've seen plenty of bad reviews about this guy and I refused to believe it until he got really disrespectful with me and said I owed him money for an appointment that I cancelled. I will no longer be going to this nail shop EVER AGAIN. The ladies that work here are really nice and do an amazing job, but RANDY is an A** ! Sadly I have to re-review and do a down grade since I have stopped going to Miss Nail. I found that though I like the staff and Randy has always been great, the product is very poor quality. I always get the clear acrylic on the upper bed of my nails and time and time again it turns a funny yellow orange, and no I do not tan. As well my nails constandtly lifted and broke/cracked. This problem has always been so bad that I would get a new set after only one or two fills (nevr more then 2 fills). I started with another salon and I went 4 weeks and could have gone before my fill yesterday, as well... no funny yellow/orange color change. Sorry Randy. read more

I came in on a sunday about half an hour before closing. I was greeted promptly, which I expected since I was coming in under the wire. But I'd called ahead, and when I came in, it took them maybe five minutes to get me settled into a chair. Everyone seemed really friendly and professional. I liked the atmosphere because it felt like a nail shop to me. While this may seem generalized and cliche, a bunch of girls, sitting around getting our nails done and gossiping is a great place to be on a sunday when you want to relax. It made me smile and relax. The designs were all gorgeous. The prices were reasonable. I didn't pay attention to whether or not they charged me extra for the foot scrub because I just assumed that a pedicure comes with one. If they charged extra, then they shouldn't have. No where else ever has. A set of glitter tips with hearts and stars, a pedicure and a lip wax ran me about $68 all told, which was worth the drive from Belmont. They stayed almost two hours after closing to finish up with me and I never felt rushed. I always felt welcomed and like they were honestly glad I was there. Ok, if you are going to have someone wait more than 10 to 15 minutes, you should le them know before you ask them to sit down to wait. I came in last night for a pedicure at 5:45, and I could only see that there was one or two people waiting ahead of me. The guy told me to have a seat- that's all he said. After about 5 minutes of watching the news, I grabbed a magazine. I got through the WHOLE US Magazine, and looked at the clock...it had been over 30 minutes. I wound up leaving, because I did not want to give my hard earned money to a place that does not really acknowledge you or let you know how long the long-ass wait time is going to be. Hi, I am 10 feet away from your face waiting patiently- acknowledge that! So I wound up getting up to leave...40 minutes and I didn't even get a pedicure. I didn't even bother asking how much longer it was going to be. I will never come back. Oh, and another weird fact- the guy has a remote control door lock for the front door. I guess he saw a guy walking up to the door and he locked the door- then I am the person sitting by the front door while this stranger asks me to unlock it...the owner asked if anyone in the shop knew the guy- then wouldn't let him in. SHADY!!! I think the guy is racist, or maybe a bit too over-protective. Maybe the guy wanted a man-icure... Have they been robbed before or something? read more

I have been going to this nail salon for years and years. At least 10 years I'd say. My suggestion is to find a nail tech you like and stick with that one. I don't do anything fancy, just get my nails painted. Throughout the years I have had some bad experiences here - for example I found the man who used to work there to be not so nice. I haven't seen him in ages though. I once had my nails done by a very unpleasant woman because the tech I usually go to was busy. However, on the whole, the prices here are extremely reasonable. You can make an appointment or drop in. It's clean and bright. The bathroom is clean and modern. You do have to pay cash, which is probably why the prices can stay so low. I think people should think twice before they give a 1 star review to a small business. If you've been going there for years and then have one bad experience why does that erase all of the good experiences you have had in the past? read more

Ok I am not going to lie, this used to be my to go place, used to come here once a month to get a full set and design because they do have more designs than other places, but my last visit there, which was actually a few months ago was the worst experience of my life!!! Randy did my nails, which I had no problem with, he did my nails before and he was fast and they were pretty nice looking. Last time I was there I chose to do a certain design and full set. he acted like he was in a big hurry, probably because the shop was packed and he had several appointments behind me. When he was doing the design, I told him I didn't like them, they just looked bad! so I asked him if I could just take design off and he looked mad, then he said " well you still got to pay for this design on top of what other design you pick"....omg I couldn't believe he said that, I got so mad!!!!I ended up telling him to just finish and paid and left. They don't care if you are satisfied or not, they just want to rush with your nails to take the next person waiting behind you.....very rude, they give you attitude and ill never ever recommend them or go there again. read more

I was referred to this place by my ex's little sister who was always sporting the cutest designed acrylic nails. I've been wanting to visit this place for the longest time, but since they don't allow gel acrylics at my work, I had to wait until I had a couple weeks off work. This is officially the hardest place to find if you haven't been there before. I made about 4 U-turns just to find it, and I had previously mapquest-ed directions. They have the tiniest parking lot which holds about 4 cars! From what I recall, they had 4 pedicure chairs and 6 nail chairs. I didn't have to wait because I made an appointment, so I proceeded to pick what design I wanted. They have the usual colored glitter tips, but they also have a huge selection of real designs for tips. They had animal print designs, all sorts of floral ones, and they could even use real dollar bills/ candy wrappers to put into the tips of your nails. I finally decided on the zebra design, but for some reason the lady was trying to talk me out of it and attempting to convince me to go glitter tips. Even as I was browsing the designs, she was telling me certain designs were no good. After about an hour, I had the cutest nails ever!! The zebra stripes were hand done, and she did a really good job for only 40 bucks. This is the first nail salon I've been to that had a choice of these kind of designs, and I'll definately be going back! The only thing that turned me off was that the lady asked me if I wanted my stache waxed. Really???? Personally, I think I keep that shit pretty well tamed! read more

I just moved to Hayward and ladies you know how it is to find a new place... typically you never find the right one the first time or second. I was already prepared for being upset and dissatisfied.. within 10 minutes of her doing my nails I noticed she knew what she was doing and I was starting to feel the relief. Half way through she checked every nail to make sure they were even ( thats my pet peeve ) they were all perfectly even and the shape was perfect. The only thing is true like the other yelp reviewers say, the owner is a little bit out of control and good luck getting a smile or a conversation with the staff they talk amongst themselves with rude stares, makes you feel curious and uncomfortable that they are talking about you but that happens at every salon. As long as they do a good job I'm ok with it. Just have a strong bone and let them have their bitter attitudes I would to if I worked with that owner slamming things around bumped his chair aggressively into mine and to get up and yell at some kids getting water while waiting for their moms didn't even budge to say sorry. He runs around like a chicken with his head cut off kind of uncomfortable. But yes the ladies do a good job. oh and CASSSHHHH ONNNLLLYY the fail to tell you until the end I thankfully had cash but this lady with her daughter didn't and had to leave to go find a ATM before they finished her last coat and she was very nice about it but the manicurist was very rude and demanded a i.d to leave. I came here a few years ago because I liked there service so I decided to bring my mom here to get her nails done for her birthday and they began doing her nails good. They had a posters which said Miss Nails and my mom fell in love with the design because it matched her birthday dress and we told them she wanted that design and they said ok that's fine sure. Right before they were going to begin with her design they told her she had to choose a different one because they were too busy and couldn't do that design right now. I've been going here for several years now but the past few times I have not been happy with their service! I have made appointments for pedicures a few times and never taken at the time of the appointment. So why take an appointment!?! The last time I went here, I made an appointment for my mom and I. They took my mom 15 minutes late and 1 hour later they wanted to take me but I refused for the simple fact that they made me wait that long and never checked in with me!! But not only that, since I had alllll the time in the world to observe things, they were so busy that I saw a few of the workers not clean the spa tubs in between customers. I went her for the first time and last time this weekend. I had scheduled an appointment for a pedicure for myself and a manicure for my friend. We showed up 10 min before our appointment. And I understand that they are helping others but if I schedule an appointment I expect to be helped within at least 15min of my appointment time. Well they did not start off my friends manicure until 45 min past our appointment time. They still had me waiting for my pedicure. I had set my appointment early because I had another appointment for 2 hours later somewhere else. When I looked at the time and saw that they had not started my pedi yet (55min) past my appt time I told them I didnt want it anymore because I had to be out of there by a certain time. At that point is when one lady who had been sitting there doing nothing said she could do my pedi at that moment. And I will say the pedi was not worth the price. She rushed through it and did not do any kind of massage on my feet. Also the tools did not seem steralized poperly. It looked like they had just rinsed them off from the last use and not steralized them how they are supposed to. As for my friends manicure the lady started her off and 10 min into it she stopped to "finish off" another customer and made her wait 10min to do it. I really dislike when they do that. If you have not finished with one do not start another just to stop midway. Overall this place needs to get organized and work on the cleanliness. So I went here on a weekday and there was only like two customers getting their nails done and one employee asked me what would I like and I said a full set mind you there was like five employees just sitting around not doing anything. I waited about 15 minutes for someone to assist me. This young lady I'll say about 21 years old did my nails and while she was shaping one hand she had already shaped the other hand and I asked for a coffin shape (of course before she started shaping them ) ,and the shape is literally leaning to the side. I politely asked her can she fix it. To her she did,but to me they were still leaning. I told her that they were still leaning to the side and she gave me the filer and said " well here you can do it yourself" with an attitude and I said if I knew how to do it I wouldn't be here. She finished them and they were still messed up. I will never go to this place again. I understand that everybody don't always have a good day, but you don't take it out on anybody, especially if they're paying you. If I could give this zero stars I would. read more

I was cut on my thumb w/ no apology, you can see where my old nail starts, they wanted to leave the nail underneath instead of drilling it out, and two days later 2 of them have already broke...This was actually the second time I went thinking the 1st time it was a fluke...Never never ever will I go back!! read more
