Ramen unlike we have ever had before. Soo delicious! The staff was kind and had great customer service. Will definitely stop by again

This is horrible experience for me. Ordered DoorDash $51.00 worth!! I ordered the pork broth and I did not get it. I paid for seasonal veggies $3.00 and the spicy bomb for $5.00..did not get it either. This is what it looked like when it arrived. Broth was half way, not even the pork broth I asked for. I should know the difference, because I'm Asian!!! Seasonal veggies??? Ribbons of carrots, 3 pieces of corn and the broth is damned chicken broth!! Please, do not pay for this much for a tastes less tonkatsu ramen, I wasted my money and not even good ramen. Horrible and I don't recommend this place for anyone at Ukiah. Make your own, not worth it!!! Soooo BADDD!!! They should be CLOSED down for charging this much for HORRIBLE Ramen place!!! HORRIBLE!!

Service = amazing. Tonkotsu = creamy, flavorful, and borderline addictive. Presentation = chef-level flex. Mango drink? A whole tropical vacation in a glass. I'm absolutely coming back. Brian is awesome every single time I've come from Sacramento! You would think he's the owner! Very personable!

This was FIRE . Chefs Danny & Chaz were amazing both are obviously passionate about Ramen it shows through their service and the tasty food. It's not many places in Ukiah that offer this level I will definitely be back it's a favorite for me.

I would have never guessed that the best ramen I've ever had would be in a small, tucked-away town up north. I ordered the miso chicken ramen, and my fiancé got the filet mignon bowl--both were incredible. The broth was deep, savory, and perfectly balanced, and the noodles had the perfect texture. The noodles are made in-house using heirloom wheat from the Mendocino Grain Project, all locally produced in Ukiah. He even crushes his own turmeric--you can taste that level of mastery in every bite. The space feels relaxed and sophisticated, with a creative edge that complements the artistry of the food. I've had ramen from Japantown in San Francisco and other top spots, but this one's my favorite.

Run, don't walk. The most insane savory umami broth, perfect local filet mignon slices and delicate chewy noods. Cute spot and Danny took care of us -- good reccos when I was having a tough time deciding.

Ramen was great! Bryan hooked it up and I'll definitely be back with the wife! Laid back ambience perfect for lunch or dinner hang.

Delicious tonkatsu ramen. A generous portion of well-spiced pork belly, homemade noodles, veggies and savory broth. Brian did us right!

I ordered the cold ramen salad because it was a warm day, and it was really exceptional. It has nicely chopped vegetables and everything was prepared perfectly. I also ordered the Japanese pickles appetizer and it was presented exquisitely. They have a variety of teas, including tea flights, and also serve bubble teas. I got one of the tea cocktails that had mango and shoju that was really good. Service is very gracious. We sat in their nice outdoor covered area. The shop inside had a lot of interesting looking tea-related items. They had some lovely looking tea sets and pots. Also some Japanese snacks!

I absolutely love coming here when I am in town for the pork ramen and hijiki salad. I ordered the pork ramen (spicy) with extra egg and pea sprouts. Everything about my meal was perfect! There isn't a place I've been to that does it quite like The Taste of Tea. The noodles were cooked to perfection, the pork broth brings me to such an "at home" vibe, and the pork itself was juicy and tender. We are so lucky to have these dishes prepared for us here! I will always return for my favorite order I also bought a box of stay clear tea powder and some new Japanese snacks (Sakura mochi, Sakura green tea pocky) both yummy!

They have a very large selection of sake, and the servers know and talk with the locals which is so nice to see in our modern society. The sashimi was absolutely stunningly good. Usually we like sitting at the bar to see the chefs do their thing, but this place is not like that at least the night we went to which was surprising cause Japanese establishments typically are cooking out in the open. They had a lot of different sakes which was really nice to see but no draft beer unless I missed it. They let you pick a cup for your sake which is so cute, I loved that. All their table wear was so beautiful. We got a fruity sake first and loved that one. The second one was the "goku" it was giving straight sake. I'd prolly stick to fruitier ones. The server was very kind and she was easy to talk to and provided great service. As for the food, I thought it was pretty okay! We ordered the omakase which was $75 per person and it was very filling. We had trout sashimi which had some bite texturally not my fave fish tbh. Potato Salad which a jammy egg omg I loved it but wondered how it'd taste if the egg was marinated. The mushroom soup was lemony and oniony it was pretty good. The karage could've been crispier imo and I wish the wasabi aoli was a lil different but it was still good. The robata was hella good my fave was the meatball one, I'm not a big fan of cartilage but that it very well cooked, and I appreciated the pile seasoning provided as well. The strawberry topped panna cotta was so good no notes. Overall, pretty good and I'd go again if I was in this area and order individual dishes especially the potato salad and panna cotta. Not really the vibe of an izakaya imo they also don't have ginger but def a nice Japanese restaurant with some twists.

Great vibes, my friend and I both ordered the honey walnut chicken sandwich -- incredible one of the best things I've had this year. I need to try tore-create it at home just to have it again. I loved the honey sauce and candied walnuts drizzled over the fried chicken. The potato wedges were also amazing, so thick and soft and crispy. Very cozy vibes, such a great atmosphere. The service was amazing the whole night. I will always try to stop here every time I come back to Lake County. When we first sat down, we were starving, and our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs, we ordered the poke appetizer and two honey walnut fried chicken sandwiches. Our sandwiches came out before the appetizer but once our sandwiches came, we both realized there was no way we were going to have room too also eat the pokey. We asked our server if he could just cancel the appetizer and we told him it really was no problem because we were enjoying our sandwiches so much. We were already way too full for the appetizer. Our server felt bad about not bringing out the appetizer and instead gave us free dessert even though he really didn't need to--it was so kind. So generous so gracious! We weren't upset about the appetizer not coming out in time; we were glad it happened that way, but he still wanted to make up for it! He didn't even charge us for the appetizer in on our way with a hot brownie and ice cream. Incredible service and I can't wait to come back. Thank you so much, Saw shop public house! Looking forward to trying more food on your menu. See you next time!
