Mission BBQ seemed very similar to City BBQ in Ohio. However, Mission BBQ was service member oriented honoring those who have served. I ordered the brisket with no side. They actually gave a decent portion of brisket. Many places go light on the brisket and charge more for it. The entree comes with a slice of cornbread too. The brisket was really good and they have some fantastic BBQ sauces. I tried several but the Memphis was my favorite. The cornbread was good but a bit on the dry crumbly side. Overall this meal was delicious and filling. The staff was fantastic. They answered my questions about the menu and I was checked on throughout the meal with a lovely lady making small talk with me as she cleared the tables. read more

We stopped by around 4 yesterday since we were out and had never been there before. The staff were helpful and the food was good, but I felt a bit pricey. The exception was that my fries were barely warm, even though they were supposed to be freshly made. The thing I found odd was that even though they are veteran owned and support the community, they don't offer a veteran or senior discount. read more

Great bbq! The chicken was moist and cooked well. The bbq sauce choices are really good! Love the Memphis Belle! The mac is thick and cheesy. The salad was fresh too. Great customer service too! We went for the first time and Loved It! Hubby got the brisket with potato salad and banana pudding and I got the combo of brisket and pulled pork with the fries. Sooo good! Husband raved about the banana pudding. He like mushy potato salad so he wasn't thrilled but that's a him thing not the restaurant. He doesn't like going and sitting in a restaurant but this one he'll go back to and we're hoping to go very soon. The people were fabulous. The young lady at the register explained things thoroughly and was helpful. This was my first time at mission bbq and I was amazed! The amount of respect this business has for our military, law enforcement, and firefighters is exceptional. Mission BBQ represents America at its core. At Noon everyday, the TVs all change to the American Flag and the national anthem starts playing. Everybody in the restaurant stood and sang together. Our friends told us about Mission BBQ and how veterans friendly they are. We decided to have our monthly meal there and I am very very glad we did. When we entered, we were greeted by all the employees. They're very happy very cheerful and helpful. We placed our order, select your table and then go back up for them to call your name. Food comes out fast. they serve you your meal and you take it back to your table. I have to admit I am not a big barbecue fan and I used to go to Sonny's but Mission barbecue is 1000 times better. The pulled chicken sandwich I ate was absolutely fantastic! The chicken was very tender and Juicy, the hamburger was out of this world. The meat was juicy. The flavor was phenomenal. The ribs and the prime rib, everything was cooked to perfection with the most excellent flavor. The macaroni and cheese was the best I've ever had. The collard greens was better than anything I have ever had in my entire life. Their iced tea is fresh made. It's not that imitation junk. Free refills! There's handicap parking in the front plenty of room plenty of parking. It was a bit loud, but that's because the prices are extremely reasonable and people love it. I highly recommend you try mission barbecue. If you love barbecue and smoked meat, this is the place to go. I promise you, you will not regret it. We went for our first time yesterday. We wanted to try a little bit of several things so we tried the pulled pork sandwich, brisket and jalapeno cheese sausage. All of them were delicious!!! For sides we tried the Mac & cheese, baked beans, collard greens and potato salad. We preferred the Mac and greens most of all, but the potato salad was also very good. The bean were our least favorite. The cornbread was ok, just a little dry. We were so happy with the vinegar (NC style) sauce. First place we have found with that and we have looked for it for years. The staff was fantastic, very pleasant and attentive. We are so glad we finally tried it and look forward to going back often! read more

We tried Mission at my brother's suggestion. It just opened in January. Super clean and a big variety to choose from. No questions asked were quickly answered with some great suggestions. The wet brisket was amazing my husband and I both loved it. The staff was extremely helpful and if you ask you can try the brisket before buying. The atmosphere was awesome they honor the vets and all different branches. I believe when you buy food there is a portion of the purchase donated. I also loved the different kinds of BBQ sauce. I would say it's a mixed style of fast food and restaurant merged together. By fast food I mean just buying it prior to eating at register. Went to Mission in Brooksville on the 17th and mid afternoon. The cashier was nice and front of me and helped me decide what I was gonna buy. I ordered the brisket sandwich dry for myself and my father got the moist brisket plate for himself. I live about three minutes from the restaurant and was so excited to eat mission because I love them in Virginia. My risk at the dry one was cut wrong. It was cut with the grain instead of against the grain. It was tough. I couldn't chew it and it had all the burnt side on it so it couldn't be chewed. I also don't like ash. So while my father's juicy plate of brisket, nice and tender it was dry so dry. It was unreal. We spent $44 and couldn't even enjoy our food. I don't know when or if we will be going back to that mission barbecue. read more

Excellent service they really recognized my husband for his service, very friendly service , the Brisket is very tender with a good char love the Sweet Potatoes and the Banana Pudding. Loved it. I only wish they had a sweeter sauce without the bite. read more
