Wow! Wish we had one where I live. I love bbq so to hit up this chain was a must. Very, very happy I did. The decor brings a smile to anyone with military or public service friends or family. So, I tried the jalapeño cheese sausage, collard greens, Mac n cheese, and finished off with peach cobbler. To just say it was delicious would be understating it. I loved every bite. The staff were friendly, helpful and prompt. A welcome addition.

Visiting from Los Angeles, I originally planned to grab a bite at Famous Dave's in the shopping center--but I'm really glad I noticed Mission BBQ instead. From the moment I walked in, it was a top-tier experience. The atmosphere felt welcoming and genuine, and the staff truly made the visit stand out. Huge shoutout to Marcus and Al--they were friendly, attentive, and made me feel like a regular even though it was my first time there. I ordered the chopped brisket sandwich, and it did not disappoint. The meat was incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with rich, smoky flavor in every bite. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. Overall, this spot exceeded expectations in every way--from the food to the service to the overall vibe. If you're in Maryland and thinking about BBQ, skip the chains and head straight to Mission BBQ. You won't regret it.

Food is always good at Mission. It's a chain so don't expect it to change your life, but it's about as good as BBQ gets this far north. Fun selection of craft specials, and all the sides are great. I love that they have all the different sauces out on the table so you can try them all. Service is polite and very attentive for a counter service restaurant - someone came around once to see if we wanted refills and again to offer free samples.

I've always loved Mission BBQ for their quality of food and quality of service. Today I came through to support a worthy cause. Every year they do the toys for tots holiday toy drive to collect toys for under privileged children. They also provide a meal for all of the people who donate. Their community relations manager, Miss Mary Rose is excellent. She is always supporting community events and organizing activities to support worthy causes. The holiday brunch food is delicious. The only drawback is they only do it once a year and most of the food that is on the menu is not on the normal daily menu. You have to sign up to attend the holiday brunch. This year it was packed and everyone was enjoying themselves. It was a great atmosphere and everyone was friendly.

I'm always excited to watch BBQ at Mission BBQ because the food is so good, especially the sides and dessert and I just really enjoy it. Last time I went I was a bit disappointed by the thin Ribeye and the lackluster dessert (I forget what I got). Regardless, I'm open to keep trying things on the menu because this is a solid spot.

First time visiting this location. I have been to many. We came in 15 minutes before close but our food still looked fresh. I really appreciated getting fresh for even after coming in at the last minute. None of the employees were in a rush or looking pissed. They were even folks that came in after me. Love the attitudes of the employees at missions. Thanks! And yes the food was great. Go pulled chicken, green beans, 10 bones of ribs, and fries. Everything was perfect! 51$ price tag but it's well worth it.

My wife and I were eager to try this location based on the reviews that I've read. The establishment is definitely clean and tidy. I always look for this first when I visit a new restaurant. The bathroom was clean and well stocked. The staff here is Very professional and inviting. You won't experience any type of inner city attitude from the kids who work here. The taste of the food is subjective so I try not to dwell on that. Everyone has their own opinion on what barbecue should taste like and I am no different. My wife gave it a 6 out of 10, I will give it an 8.5 out of 10. Portion sizes are comparable to market value at this time. What I mean by that is everyone has cut back on the portion sizes so why shouldn't they. Overall, you will not be disappointed with this location. I like the vibes here.

I went to MIssion over the weekend to use a rewared dor a free sandwich. I ordered the turkey sandwich one day and the moisture brisket the next day. Mission Bbq food is good. They have seasonal items that are good as well. The inside of the restaurant is nice. The staff makes you feel welcome by greeting you when you walk in the door.

    Inspirational, thought provoking deco.

It has been a looong time since I have enjoyed bbq like I did here. Am so happy I stopped here for a quick bite. I asked someone who looked like a regular Customer what the best item on the menu was, and pulled pork sandwich was the answer. No hesitation whatsoever. Well I bypassed the bun option and just got the pulled pork entree with collard greens as the side. But also got a "taste" of their brisket. Boy oh boy if I could eat 2 entrees I would have enjoyed their brisket too. Absolutely loved their collard greens and had so much fun trying out each of their six different bbq sauces. Can't wait to go back!

Mission BBQ is my go to spot when I'm traveling. I understand it's a chain restaurant but they make good BBQ and are pro military even though Veterans don't get a discount. It's all good, show me to the sweet tea! I'm a simple guy when it comes to BBQ, gimme Brisket along with Mac & Cheese and I'm a happy pappy. I walked in, ordered a meat platter and was on my way. See that small piece of corn bread in my picture? The manager walked over and asked how is everything? I said my cornbread is kinda small but I'm loving my meal. She comes back with a tray with two pieces of cornbread! I thanked her as I devoured the cornbread. Mmm mm! Mission BBQ, thanks for the great meal and hospitality.

Can you ask for well done brisket or you get what you get?

You can choose from moist or lean. The brisket is cooked all the way through, no pink. (Just the smoke ring). You pretty much get what you get, but brisket isn't a meat that comes in the various temperatures. It should be smoked to about 190… Read more

The place was packed and the hostess tried her best, but we were eventually sat at two rocking chairs at 6:25. Not ideal to eat, but at that point, we took what we could get. We ordered food and drinks about 10 minutes later. Food came relatively quickly, but drinks took 30+ minutes, not an exaggeration. The waitress was super friendly and apologetic, but you could tell everyone who worked there was stressed. Food should never come before drinks, but it's next level when you're done your food before they arrive. Don't take reservations if it's going to be a free for all and you can't honor them. Just roll with a first come, first serve policy. Also, they need a manager/floor general on concert nights. Too much chaos in a place trying to exemplify "chill," but someone overseeing the floor at a high level could've kept things moving and assisted overburdened wait staff. Finally, move the host stand to a better location. It's in a super awkward spot, so a lot of folks are forced wait in tight quarters right next to people who are seated. Great concept, but needs some upgrades in management and logistics, especially on concert nights. Will I go again? Maybe, but with tempered expectations. Hopefully they'll staff up and get things corrected.

The menu offers a nice balance between curated bowls and build-your-own options, and everything on display looked vibrant and genuinely fresh. Even the subtle aroma of garlic in the air set the tone in the best way. I don't usually go for chicken (I cook enough of it at home), but being from Hawaii, there was no way I was passing up on their limited-time Huli Huli chicken. For those unfamiliar, traditional Huli Huli chicken is typically bone-in, skin-on, soaked in a brine, marinated with a blend of soy sauce, ginger, brown sugar, garlic, and pineapple juice maybe rice vinegar or ketchup, it's all left to the cook. Basted several times as the meat is flipped until fully cooked. Back home, you don't just eat it--you experience it. You smell it long before you see it--grilling on those iconic half oil drum kettles along the roadside, often set up for fundraisers or local gatherings. The sight of chicken quarters being flipped ("huli" means "turn") and basted over open flames is pure island nostalgia. So yes, expectations were high. I was offered a sample, and it delivered. The flavor balance was spot on--savory, slightly sweet, and deeply satisfying. The chicken itself was moist and tender. The only thing missing was that classic crispy, charred skin and the full leg quarter presentation you'd find back home--but even so, it didn't disappoint and left me wanting more. My bowl came together beautifully with coconut sweet potato sauce, fresh spinach, garlicky cilantro green beans, and basmati rice. It was flavorful, well-balanced, and delicious. Service was another highlight--the staff was friendly, patient and helpful with recommendations. The space itself is not large to eat in but it was clean, bright with ocean-toned blues that nod to its island inspiration. I'll definitely be back--especially while that Huli Huli chicken is still on the menu.
