I had a great experience with Mission BBQ. The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly--the Pulled chicken was tender and the pulled pork was packed with smoky flavor, as well as the sausage, green beans with bacon and Mac & cheese. The variety of BBQ sauces were amazing and to finish it off the delicious Peach cobbler.. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the patriotic atmosphere made the visit even more enjoyable. I'll definitely be coming back.

Came here to try their new bbq glazed shrimp which was very good. They should add it to their menu permanently. I also got a side of Mac and cheese which was good as well. Customer service was good as well, the staff was pleasant.

Car here a while back with friends and while in the area decided to come back. A lovely restaurant with friendly and helpful folks and delicious BBQ. I will be back. My daughter had a kids meal brisket sandwich so to Mac and cheese. I had baby back ribs with baked beans and Mac and cheese. Everything was delicious. Quirky fact they play the national anthem at 12 every day and everyone gets up and pauses. It was nostalgic and a cool thing to experience. Got an opportunity to explain to my daughter since they don't do this at schools anymore. Bright and clean atmosphere with country music. Will be back.

Good tasting BBQ. They have brisket sandwiches (lean and moist) as well as many other varieties. They have good Mac n Cheese, Green beans, Cole slaw, fries and many other sides. You can also have salmon, chicken and burgers here... The staff was very energetic and friendly. Good prices.

This place is amazing and our favorite brisket spot in Broward. This place is super unique with its interior decor and mission to honor people who served the US. Usually, places that have a strong theming and cool decor lack in good quality. However, this is not the case with Mission! This place has delicious BBQ that is high quality, juicy and consistently great. They have six house sauces that you can pair your meal with. My favorite is lean brisket or turkey. Their sides are also great and their cornbread is my favorite in South Florida. Service is very quick and even during busiest time you'll get your food almost immediately. Overall, great place!

If you like basic level bbq this is this place for you. I may not be a connoisseur but I've had some southern bbq that would blow your mind and this just wasn't it. I got the pulled pork with a side of collard greens. It came with corn bread but the cornbread was pretty dry. I did like the flavor but it wasn't enjoyable enough for me to finish. The pulled pork was tender, but the only thing that tasted good was the fatty parts. I tried all of the sauces and didn't feel particularly about any of them. The sweet ones weren't too sweet so that's a plus, but the "spicy" ones weren't spicy at all. Very mild, even when I added the Texas Pete (which isn't spicy to me, just so you can gauge my spice level, I can handle a lot of heat). The collards were great! I'd definitely get them again, nice and vinegary. A pretty small portion though. The service was impeccable! It was my first time so the young lady at the counter explained everything to me and she came to my table after to find out how I was liking everything. She was such a sweetheart and I appreciate her hospitality! The restaurant overall was clean and seemed like a good place for family to gather for some clean bbq. But if you wanna get messy try somewhere else. I probably won't go back because the price just wasn't worth it to me, but I'd still recommend it for people who just want to dip their toe, based off the service and collards alone.

Tried mission bbq because I was craving brisket. I went for the 2 meat sampler. Got brisket and pulled pork. Brisket was on the dry side even though it was very fatty. It had a strange sour taste and was served two very tiny pieces. The staff was very pleasant which was good. Food was on the pricey side and would have been justifiable if I got a Mountain of fries. the sides were tiny for over 3 dollars. It doesn't make sense because it's minimal cost for them. All the sauces were good. Overall. Probably won't be back. Did not wow me.

This place is the best! Nice ambiance, cool music, clean place. The service is great always. Food it's a different story - SUPER DELICIOUS, especially juicy brisket. It's great comparing with Memphis Belle sauce, but you can try Smoky Mountain, Texas Twang, KC Classic, Florida Gator Bite or Tupelo Honey Heat. Especially for a chain, Mission BBQ is amazingly good. The interior is clean and homey, and great food is served up by friendly staff. 5 star food: my pulled chicken sandwich was very very good. I tried 4 of the 6 different house bbq sauces on the table and lived 5 of 6. Sides were also excellent...Cole slaw and perfectly spiced collards. 5 star food: in particular at this location the staff seems happy to be there, and super friendly 5 star ambience: inside it feels like a stylish barn crossed with your neighbor's backyard. It's just the right mix inside. There's a mildly odd theme of the "mission " referring to soldiers and first responders. Outside it's part of a soulless shopping strip, but has loads of parking ( and easy turns to go to my dentist's office just down the street : )

Chopped Brisket with XL Combo (mac and cheese)

We came on a Wednesday around midday. Luckily it wasn't too crowded so no line to wait in. After combing through the menu to figure out what I wanted I settled on the chopped brisket sandwich XL combo which came with mac n cheese and a fountain drink. The meat was very tender and seasoned well with the buns also adding to the flavor! I LOVE mac and cheese and this one did NOT disappoint! Not a huge BBQ fan but would definitely come back again. The interior decor had a lot of Armed Forces / Police / Firefighter themed decor and it really gave off a southern vibe. Southern vibes and great bbq, can't complain.

The Spread: We ordered the brisket, smoked chicken, spare ribs, and baby back ribs -- yes, all four -- on one tray lined with butcher paper. It looked like a BBQ fever dream and tasted even better than it looked. The Meats: The brisket was the standout for me. Smoked over real wood for 12+ hours, hand-carved, pink smoke ring, tender all the way through. The baby back ribs were glazed and meaty with deep smoky flavor, and the spare ribs were thick, juicy, and packed with bold bark. The smoked chicken rounded it all out -- moist, flavorful, never dry. The Sides: Rice and peas with coconut milk -- fragrant and perfectly cooked. The 4-cheese mac was outrageously creamy (I kept going back for more). The sweet and tangy coleslaw was the perfect palate cleanser between bites of rich, smoky meat. The Extras: The 4-pack of sliders was a great add -- soft buns, well-seasoned patties, could easily make a meal on their own. The fries were golden and crispy. And the watermelon lemonade Kool-Aid with berries at the bottom? Refreshing, unique, and the perfect closer to an incredible meal. The Space: Big news for fans of Bare Bones -- they've just opened a brand new storefront next door with about a dozen additional tables and plenty of seating for the whole family. No more eating in your car or rushing home with takeout. You can now sit back, relax, and enjoy that tray of smoked goodness the way it was meant to be experienced. It's a welcome upgrade that somehow makes the food taste even better. This is a family-run operation with over 20 years of food experience and it shows in every detail. Bare Bones isn't just good BBQ -- it's a South Florida treasure.

The restaurant is inviting and spotless, with cozy booths on one side and tables for walk-in orders. The menu is straightforward: choose between half or whole fried chicken or wings, with options for bone-in or boneless, and spice levels ranging from mild to their special spicy sauces. The food truly impresses. The chicken is perfectly fried--crisp without being greasy, tender, and packed with flavor. It's a clear step above KFC, Popeyes, or any American fried chicken chain. If you're a fried chicken fan, I highly recommend giving this place a try--you won't be disappointed.

Who doesn't love Korean Fried Chicken?…read more We usually come here during the day, and end up ordering the lunch special of boneless chicken with fries. We are really surprised to learn that their boneless is not breast but pieces of thigh. The place is really spacious, the staff very friendly, and they bring the food to you if you are eating in, so it's a step above fast casual. There is also a lot of alcoholic drinks on the menu with daily specials. Our usual go to for fried chicken is CM in North Miami Beach, but my husband prefer this place for a cleaner, more comfortable space, and he loves not having to deal with bones. He really likes his chicken in soy garlic flavor with sweet potato fries. Me, I actually prefer gnawing on bones (guess I am a dog person alright). I also find CM's chicken has better flavor in the meat itself. Another problem I have with bb.q is that the quality is not quite consistent. One time the chicken barely have any coating it was almost like grilled chicken with sauce. Another time the coating was so thick it wasn't cooked through and the soft doughy bit wasn't exactly pleasant in the mouth.

At Shorty's, I asked if the 1/4 chicken dish was gluten free. The server said yes it's just baked chicken and I asked about the marinade per the menu. She said it's "Shorty's sauce" so I asked if it's GF and she said she didn't know, so I asked if she can please find out. She came back and said there's no marinade so I went ahead and ordered the chicken. I asked her if she could tell me if any of the table sauces were GF and again "I don't know". I asked if she can please ask someone who would know and no rush. She said she would get someone to come talk to me. Several minutes passed, she brings my food and I ask again about the sauce and she seems bothered and said they are way too busy and probably no one will be able to come talk to me. I wait some more time, and when the next round of meals comes out, we ask again and she reiterated that it's too busy and no manager or chef was able to give her a simple answer about if the BBQ sauce is gluten free. All she said was she knows the bbq is "sugar free or something". So after waiting, I just decided to eat and the chicken was BONE DRY. It felt like sacrilege the way they cooked that chicken until it was nearly powdered. Fast forward and meal ends and the server noticed I didn't eat much and asked why, I said the chicken is dry and she said "oh yeah it's always dry and you couldn't have sauce". ... Anyway, we will not be back. I'm also not convinced that she even brought up the question to manager. As someone who has worked in the food industry for several years, I feel it is the bare minimum to understand common allergens and restrictions that people may have and that they deserve to be taken seriously.

Located off Stirling Road (accessible from both directions), Hong's BBQ sits amongst the various shops that make up the Stirling Place Plaza. If you're here based off your search for food around the Seminole Hard Rock Casino and Hotel Hollywood, you've got the same idea as us and this review is for you; Hong's is essentially "around the corner" from the casino and a great option if you want to venture off the resort for some great food. Recommended by a source for reliable eats, we decided to give Hong's BBQ a go before our trip back to Tampa. We found that Hong's BBQ has some great authentic Canto-style Chinese cuisine. Not big by any means (you can't necessarily host a large banquet style gathering here), there is definitely ample seating - mainly suited for parties of 4. We came around 1pm on a Sunday and had no issues being seated - although the restaurant maintained a steady flow of customers in and out of the restaurant. There are a few larger round tables scatter throughout with the typical lazy-susan setup in the center that may accommodate larger parties of 6-8. If you're not interested in dining-in, there is definitely a "butcher's" station/display that is set up toward the back of the dining section. The setup within the restaurant definitely brought back nostalgic memories of Chinatown restaurants and their racks of char-siu, roast duck, pig, and soy chicken hanging under the heating lamps. From here, you can order cuts of the aforementioned meats by weight without the "extras." The menu offered a great variety of Canto-style cuisine; I would argue that it's hard to go wrong with a choice based on their selections they have available. We ordered two noodle soups (roast duck and char siu), along with an order of the beef chow fun, which were all outstanding. Beginning with the noodle soups, you have 3 different noodle options; I opted for the flat rice noodles which I instantly craved upon identifying it as a choice. The noodles were cooked to al-dente perfection that had a good amount of "bounce" while easy to chew. The broth was also on a whole other level that warrants praise in itself. The beef chow fun is also a must - yes, I recognize that this may be considered a "basic" choice, but Hong's BBQ makes this the right way. The service wasn't poor - let's just say that it falls in line with the coveted 3-star Asian restaurant rating (If you know, you know). The servers knew how and when to deliver. All in all, Hong's BBQ is a great place to dine with your family. I would recommend this to anyone in or travelling to this area.

It was empty. But it slowly got more diners, with about 5 tables filled before we left. Service was fine but the waitress who took our order barely spoke English and it was difficult getting answers about items on the menu. Nevertheless, we ordered pan-fried dumplings, the three meat combo plate with roast duck, BBQ roast pork, and crispy pork. We also got a seafood platter with salt and pepper shrimp, squid, and scallops. The latter didn't have much taste. We couldn't even taste any salt and pepper. The dish came on a bed of shredded raw cabbage. There was no rice. When I asked, the server (a different one from the woman who took our order) brought us a small bowl. They had forgotten to put the rice on the plate. (The dish is advertised as being served on a bed of rice.) The meat platter was decent. Although the duck skin needed to be crispier, the pork skin was very crispy. The BBQ roast pork was tasty, boasting a nice char siu flavor. The few strands of Chinese broccoli that was served with the dish was cold, as if it was added from the refrigerator. We enjoyed the pan-fried dumplings. They seemed to be homemade. One appetizer, two entrees, tax, and tip was $66.
