I'm so glad they opened up in Germantown. I've eaten here twice, once pickup, and once dine in. Both times the food and customer service was awesome. I always get the moist brisket and it never a ceases to amaze me at how good it is. The meat is perfect, tender and flavorful, and the sauces are all great, my favorite being the Tupelo Honey. Mission BBQ opened its Germantown MD location on Monday 1-26. We thought, we will wait until Friday the lines will be shorter (not, that people were waiting since Monday just that its a new place and the first few days are usually packed)! Then we thought, well Friday is usually packed, so let's go early. It didn't matter there was a line when we arrived and line when we left! Pulled chicken, brisket sandwich, mac and cheese, fries and the blueberry cobbler were on the menu for us. Also coleslaw! Everything was perfect. The Brisket was amazing. The BBQ sauce was tasty (I got Memphis and it is great)! The hilarity for us was standing in line, realizing just a year before this had been a Ruby Tuesday's!!!! read more

This location has only been open about a month but I've already been twice. It's great! They always have all the registeers open and the food comes out fast and fresh! I always get the combo because it's a great deal! You get a meat, 2 sides, cornbread, and a drink, all for around $13! Amazing! The staff here is friendly as well! We love mission BBQ in my house and it leaves the neighborhood smelling so good in the mornings lol. The staff at this location are friendly and quick. My favorite meal is the brisket sandwich (wet) and I usually try whatever seasonal side they have. Whatever meal you get is guaranteed to fill you up. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of here is the Mac and cheese and that's just because they put some sort of breadcrumbs on top and i don't like that. Their salmon is bomb as hell tho, the bbq sauce they add to it is fire. read more

Having been to many Mission BBQ locations, this was one of the best. The brisket was absolutely perfect, juicy, tender and seasoned expertly. The Mac and cheese was delicious. The fries were salty and crispy. But the best part was the service. Not only was everything served quickly, but they made sure our kids had coloring placemats and crayons, bought out extra condiments and intensifies, and even bought out extra corn bread. My five star review is being changed to a three star review. The food always gets 5 stars. But the last several orders we've received have had issues. This one we were missing three items. There is no phone number on the receipt. I looked the number up and called and spoke to the manager. He brought out my missed items and apologized. I asked for plasticware but it had bbq sauce dried on the outside of the plastic wrapper and both packages had torn plastic. read more

First, I rarely leave reviews as I really can't be bothered but we had some a great experience that it needed to be shared. Our family of four including 2 older children had stopped by for lunch. The staff was very attentive, especially Sadie. The food was excellent and didn't take long to be ready. They came around and offered us samples several times. A really friendly environment where I felt more like I had come to someone's house for dinner than a restaurant feel. We loved our experience, we will definitely be back. Food was hot and delicious. Cashier was absolutely amazing she took her time to explain everything to us since it was our first time here. Manager walking around to make sure everything was good and staff very attentive to your every need. The cashier even gave us a discount for our first time there. I've always been a fan of Mission BBQ. I used to go all the way to Laurel, then Rockville for Mission BBQ. Glad the Gtown Branch is as good as the others. I love the ambiance of support for military, police, firefighters, and first responders. I love picking amongst the six sauces and the Carolina vinegar. I prefer the moist brisket. The lean brisket feels dry and is not as tender as I'd like. Their ribs are pretty good too, as they are tender and fall off the bone. Their baked beans with brisket is tasty. Nicest staff ever. Everybody was so friendly and patient. Food is great too. As far as BBQ goes, it's one of the better places to visit in the area. We've been to both the Rockville and Germantown locations. Couldn't tell you if one is better than another. Both have great food and service. We usually order two of the meat samplers so we have a good mix of meat and sides options. The meats we order are all moist but not too fatty. The sausage is on the spicier side. We've tried the Mac n cheese, slaw, and baked beans sides and they're all very tasty. Love the cornbread. (I ask for extra). They have several types of sauces and although I'm not big on sauces, I have to admit they're pretty good. We got the banana pudding last time - cross your fingers they still have it. What a top notch place. I have been going here before the pandemic. It was delicious then. And during the pandemic, what a charm this place is. I went in with my mask and they were soooo gratious for the business ( not like was the only person there). The food is delicious - we ordered (2 times) the family meal for 10. Proteins were great - I would have to say the lean brisquit (damn spell check won't give me the correct) travels better than the moist. We had leftovers and in the morning moist, when refrigerated, looked like a mound of fat. Point is eat the moist there, or get the lean to go. Sides - Mac and cheese is phenomenal. I never thought green beans could be so good, but heck yeah. Prior to the pandemic, I always got the sandwich with cold slaw and it was great. Now that we get it to go, I pull the Innards out of the bread - I can see where there's too much bread. That is the only downfall I see - when I took it home I used a softer hamburger bun it was great. BUT, if you pull some of the innards out of the bun provided, you'll be fine. Love the place - sure beats the ruby Tuesday's that was there. Good folk, good food, good atmosphere. Nice work. Love the south, even though In Maryland we are scratching the north. Mission BBQ is exactly what you would expect. It's consistent, well made, and friendly service. The BBQ isn't quite as good as what you'd get at a smaller mom & pop, but it definitely is worth a visit. The ribs and the brisket sandwich are favorites of ours. Great food! The brisket was excellent, and the pulled pork was very good. Mac n cheese was pretty good. We called in for curbside pickup and the service was great, but when we got to the park for our picnic neither the plates nor the utensils we asked for were in the bag. Needless to say, eating mac n cheese with my fingers was definitely not on my summer bucket list, but i've crossed it off anyways. As for the sauces- we tried all six. In my opinion, the Bay-b-que was the closest to a regular barbecue sauce, but none of them really added up to what I was looking for. I wish they had a more classic vinegar barbecue sauce, but what can you do. The cornbread was pretty dry, but nothing a bit of butter can't fix. Nothing tasted bad, and I would send friends there.
