Ordering is at the counter with a handy menu behind. Speaking of the menu, it is an interesting combination of items. Bubble tea is on it (didn't order this trip). They have "sandos", which is the Japanese name for sandwiches (mostly on milk bread). Saw that these sandos didn't utilize milk bread so I also passed. They also have chicken wings with Korean style flavors (like garlic soy and spicy garlic soy). I ordered 6 garlic soy wings along with 4 piece chicken fingers. Both selections came with pickles and sauce. The wings also came with celery. Both were equally delicious. The wings were juicy and crispy (garlic soy was on pointe). The batter was light and not too thick (which I like). The chicken fingers didn't not taste like the frozen kind, but fresh chicken breast marinated, sliced into tenders and fried. I've been here for their chicken wings and I've also tried their chicken sandwich. Their chicken wings are fire. They are QUITE good. I get the sort of naked wings... except even their naked wings arn't actually naked. They still have a seasoning that coats the wing, and that seasoning is absolutely delicious. The chicken is very good, but generally I think the slaw could use a bit of work and the orange sauce that comes with it is not really to my taste. I was supremely surprised by how moist and juicy the chicken was in both the Chicken Sando (so big it doesn't even fit the bun) and the Chicken Waffle. The spice levels on each were perfect for me and my husband. The accompanying Waffles were very good. They are slightly sweet so much so I didn't have to use syrup if I didn't want to, and have mochi like (chewy) texture. Going for a different side, we went with the fried okra. I had read a few mixed reviews about the wait time being painfully long so we decided to place our orders online. My colleague received an email confirmation, but I must have typed in the wrong email address as I didn't get one. We put down our pick up time as ASAP. One colleague ordered the chicken sando with no heat and we split our lunches. My other colleague ordered the 4 tenders combo which came with waffle fries and a fountain soda. I loved the chicken sando which had slaw on it. The chicken was crispy and the sando was hearty. It's a generous sized sandwich on its own. The chicken and waffle was decent. I would have preferred my chicken and waffle to be crispier. If I had ordered there it may have been. It may have gotten slightly soggy as it was packaged to go since we ordered online. I tried a waffle fry from my other colleague. Mine wasn't too crispy, but he said a few of his were so it may just not be consistent. My fruit tea was good, but next time I'll ask for less ice as it may have watered it down since I didn't drink it right away. Lunch was very hearty. I am still full, which is very rare. Lol. So Mr Kim tried to "handle" me through his staff. It just made me stop come here FOREVER now! I brought him back all this crap food as I said I would. Then he tried to only replace "some" of it because he wasn't there after he said he was. Keenon (I'm sorry if I spell that wrong) will go places in life. He's amazing. He's genuine and sincere and tries to make the customers happy when there's been a wrong done. He was threatened by his "superiors" if he did something that was already promised by Eugene when we talked. I hope Keenon knows how much I appreciate his kindness and his great service. My husband says he's there every time he USE TO GO!! I hope he finds a job that appreciates him. This company clearly does not. If my business was closer I'd hire him. STOP SUPPORTING businesses that sell bad food and treat their staff poorly. Without customers and good staff (which is really hard to find) this business doesn't deserve to stay open! We both got the Chicken Sando (sandwich) which is a large fried chicken fillet with slaw and a pickle in a brioche bun which wasn't large enough to fit the piece of chicken (see photo). The chicken fillet is much larger than you would get in a chicken sandwich for a similar price elsewhere and the sauce was quite tasty - comes in different levels of spiciness. I've been patiently waiting for this Hangry Joe's Hot Chicken location to open and finally got a chance to try it out recently. Two times in fact. The first time I ordered online and my food was ready at the time promised. Second time around I ordered in store and my food didn't take too long to prepare. Parking is available in a fairly large lot just outside of the restaurant, but the lot can be rather crazy especially during peak hours. Decided on the chicken and waffles during my first visit. After reading some reviews about spice level, I decided to get my tenders at a medium spice level. Definitely should have gotten hot as I found the medium to not be spicy at all. The tenders were a pretty good size and came with four, which is a lot especially with the waffles. Waffles were pretty good, a little thicker than I'm used to though. The chicken and waffles were plenty to share or for another meal. To wash down my meal I had the strawberry-lychee fruit tea, which I really enjoyed. The lychee flavor came through nicely, and didn't overpower the strawberry. I also tried some of the waffle fries, which I enjoyed. Not greasy and were crispy. Although I didn't try the chicken sandwich, I do have to say it is HUGE! Definitely bring your appetite for this one. I assume a chicken sandwich junior would be more in line with your standard chicken sandwich size. C&N enjoyed their chicken bites with no seasoning (which was just plain, fried chicken bites). The second time around I tried the Korean chicken nuggets with spicy soy garlic sauce. These nuggets were essentially the chicken bites tossed in spicy soy garlic sauce, and served with rice. I wasn't a fan of this dish. The sauce had a weird taste to me. Definitely will not be getting this next time. Instead of a fruit tea, I got a taro milk tea with boba. Our friends live near Hangry Joe's and were telling us that they have their current favorite chicken sandwich! High praise from these chicken aficionados so we jumped at the opportunity to come try it for ourselves. We got the chicken sando and a chicken tender combo and lemme tell you, everything was soooo juicy but also crisp on the outside and I really loved the spice level. A real proper kick of heat, so appreciated as a spice fiend. The chicken on the sandwich was such a big piece, a sizeable chunk was hanging off the brioche bun for its dear life, but I really loved it, one of the best chicken sandwiches I've had. (And you all know we've been eating many since the chicken sandwich wars broke out in 2019.) Even though it seemed like white meat chicken, it was absurdly juicy, and the flavor was soooo delicious. The hot is respectably spicy, even for spice fiends like us, so it was good that we had medium chicken tenders as a little "break" even though those still had a good spice level as well. Honestly I was really surprised by that wonderful trifecta of crispy outside, juicyyyy inside, and spicy heat with good flavor -- I really can't ask for more from a spicy chicken sandwich! The service was great - no complaints. The ambiance at this location was very quiet, but then again - I did come at an early lunch time. They also serve milk tea if that's your thing. I did not try it, but worth trying out. They do accept credit cards (obviously) and there is plenty of free public parking. Just be mindful there are other stores nearby so the amount of spaces could be limited (plus it's a small-ish area). The only star I knocked off was just the price.
