They go a step above by then not only delivering the catering but Ashley also set up the whole speed in minutes for us! She gave me a brief overview confirming my order as well. Food was spectacular! Stopped in today for a late lunch or early dinner (depending on how you want to classify it) at this stand alone chain barbecue spot located off the intersection of Blanding Boulevard and Youngerman Road. When I arrived, the restaurant was deserted bc of the odd time I came. All the tables (4 and 6 tops with chair and booths) were open and the staff was busy stocking the place. I was immediately greeted by the young lady running the register and I ordered a sliced brisket sandwich (moist) with the seasonal cheesy baked potatoes and a drink. The young lady then transitioned to prepping my meal while I got my drink from a very cantankerous ice machine and drink station (Pepsi products - Diet Dr Pepper bc the Pepsi Zero was out). I did have to work around a very kind employee who was restocking the soda area and had no idea why the ice machine was so uncooperative. Upon receiving my meal, the brisket looked like it had been chopped but on closer inspection, it was shredding after being cut (not exactly what you look for in sliced brisket). I grabbed a table which already had paper towels and barbecue sauces on it (all tables do) and dressed my sandwich with some sauce. They provide a variety of regional sauces with fun names like Texas Twang and Alabama Honey Heat. I opted for a mixture of sauces and dug in bc I was starving. The sandwich was good and the brisket was tender, I inhaled it. The cheesy potatoes were great with flavors of sour cream and cheddar cheese - kind of a cross between mashed potatoes and home fries. I was skeptical to come here because I'd tried at least 2 other BBQ places in Middleburg that had really disappointed me. We tried this place, I ordered the 3 meat lunch where you can choose your own meats. I chose the pulled pork, the turkey and the brisket. Everything was delicious but they knocked the brisket out of the park! Brisket is one of my top 5 fav foods and this was the best brisket I've ever put in my mouth. Very solid BBQ spot for a quick fix. First time trying Mission BBQ and had a good experience. 3 meat plus 1 side baby back rib and 2 sides and a drink was roughly $33 as of September 2024. Got the jalapeño sausage, brisket and turkey. I thought the sausage and turkey were the highlight. The rib was solid but size was small. Not sure if Id get that again for the price. Sides were good and variety of bbq sauce was a huge plus. Our Red Hat chapter chose to go to Mission BBQ for our November meeting. It was quite an adventure for a bunch of elderly ladies! There were both bench seats and chairs but each of us found a suitable "seat." There are longer "tables" when shorter ones are pulled together, so we were able to sit as a group. You go up to the counter to order and then listen for your name to be called. Sometimes it was hard to hear--the dining room fills up quickly after opening and it has a high ceiling so sounds echo. Of course, there were lots of veterans there and promptly at Noon, every one in the restaurant stood (if able) to sing the National Anthem. The decor is totally military-oriented with all branches represented. The counter staff was very friendly and helpful and the hostess helped us get our tables together. The other day I went to go get some food and I was thinking about what sides I wanted to get with my brisket and I was thinking about the collard greens and I was talking to the person at the counter, Jacob and he was telling me they are pretty good but I told him I would just try them next time. So I went with the Mac n cheese ad my side and after I paid and went to go get my food Jacob had gave me a side of the collard greens for free so I didn't have to wait until next time to try them, it was very thoughtful of him to do that and I went back and gave him a cash tip after I was done eating since he went out of his way. Overall it was a great experience I will definitely be going again this week and getting the collard greens this time because they were so good. read more

Service was amazing - staff clearly enjoy their jobs which is nice to see these days. Food was great. Been to bbq all over the country and this was as good as any I've been to, even most popular restaurants in Texas. Of course the sauce is critical to soft tender meats and I liked their honey heat the best personally although there's a secret sauce behind the counter that's amazing as well - more like an aioli. Sides were great - Mac and cheese was home baked, green beans with bacon in them and the best cornbread I've had Ended with a sweet potato dessert that was amazing, just like pumpkin pie. Wow. This place is special. First time visiting. If you're not a supporter of law enforcement, first responders and the American military, this place is not for you. It has more military and first responder decorum and memorabilia than most base establishments I've seen in 28 years in the Navy. The Mac n cheese was ok, I've had better, the chicken was cooked to perfection. Literally fall off the bone, the taste just wasn't there. I used every single BBQ sauce because they have so many (like 6) they were all just ok.... I would think with all the different sauces I would LOVE as least 1 but I didn't get that here. Honestly, we tried Mission BBQ because the Maggianos next door had a 50 minute wait. My hubs and I love bbq (ribs are his thing) and I judge ALL barbecue against Shorty's in South Florida; there is NO comparison to Shorty's. But Mission was really good. My friends birthday is tomorrow so her brother picked up dinner for us and her choice was Mission BBQ. This was my first try and now I am a new fan. I ordered the brisket meal with baked beans and banana pudding. The brisket was tender, juicy and much to my liking with a nice smoky flavor! I was disappointed they did not offer a mustard vinegar BBQ sauce as it is simply my favorite:( I settled for dipping my brisket in BBQ sauce. The baked beans were divine. They were slow cooked with some brisket which packed more flavor than your average baked beans. I tasted the green beans which I could tell were also slow cooked, soft and very good! And the seasonal potato salad was creamy and good as well. The banana pudding was delightful. I am not a fan of whipped cream, but the pudding underneath was ooey gooey goodness! Mission BBQ is an uber-patriotic barbecue chain that actually surprised us at how good it was. We arrived not too long after opening on a Sunday just in time for the National Anthem at the strike of noon. Turns out that is a daily event. After that pause, the line moved quickly and we ordered. After ordering, the drinks are self-serve and you seat yourself and listen for your name to be called. It was pretty quick. My husband ordered the brisket sandwich and two sides: macaroni & cheese and potato salad. I had the two meat platter (brisket and jalapeño & cheese sausage) and macaroni & cheese (a piece of cornbread comes with the platter). First off, that brisket was delicious, both alone and on the sandwich. It's available in "moist" or "lean", we both chose moist and were very happy with it. The jalapeño & cheese sausage was just what I hoped for, good bite on the casing and tender, full of jalapeños and cheese. I shared with my husband and he loved it too. The mac & cheese was pretty good. (Better than some other BBQ places in town.) Baked, with a crumb topping and dark brown cheese bits that a lot of us love. The potato salad was different than we expected, but a really nice taste. Cornbread was a bit dry, but one of the young ladies walking the floor helping customers brought us some butter which perked it up. They offer six custom sauces based on southern states on the table. My husband tried all and agreed with me, the Florida Gator Bite was the best. I was saddened at first that there wasn't a mustard based sauce (I dislike tomato based bbq sauces) but I really, really liked the Gator Bite with it's spicy, citrusy tang. Now that brisket was very flavorful and didn't need a condiment, but adding the sauce was like adding icing to a super moist cupcake. You don't need it, but it just adds that extra OOMPH. The turkey was moist and seasoned well (no salty like other places). They have 6 sauces on the table and they are good. My favorite was the Mountan one. Mac & cheese is good, green beans too. It's "Free Chow" on your birthday for members of the Birthday Brigade (easy to sign up) so we went to Mission BBQ this afternoon for our free sandwiches. Got the Brisket and Pulled Pork and was not disappointed at all. We did a To Go with plans of enjoying our food at home but my daughter couldn't wait because the smell of the sandwiches in the car was so good she had to eat hers right away. Their mission: to serve the most authentic, mouth-watering all-American food that's done right. I say they have definitely met their mission! I would like to thank the server who helped make my mother happy on 6/5/24 during lunchtime. There was no issue on Mission BBQ's side, but the girl so kindly brought my mom a different sandwich. And she was sincere when she said it was no problem. I love this business. I've been to two different ones a few times and can't wait for the one in my town to open! I first encountered Mission bbq in Roanoke. A very positive experience. When I learned a Mission was just off of a Blanding, I packed the fam up and hoped for a repeat. Amazingly, it was! Service that was caring and appreciative with food to match. As I grade a bbq joint on its brisket, it's tops! Fork tender and juicy! The sides are not just decorative but held their own. Cole slaw, beans both green and baked. Corn bread comes with and is sweet and, as the kids put it, like cake. Sauces are on the table with a roll of paper towels. First impressions are usually the most and today my first impression upon walking in a meeting Jemma was outstanding. She was truly customer centered in her approach, friendly, and even offered a sample to see if it's what we wanted. I will tell you right upfront that sample sold me! We also had the opportunity to meet Lydia who is the store manager. She was walking around table by table and cleaning picture frames. You could tell that both Jemma and Lydia take pride in the work that they do as their actions demonstrate a true passion. The food outstanding! It truly was outstanding I do not eat red meat but I did have the brisket and all I can say is it was the best I have ever had and it is worth whatever ramifications I must go through.
