When I first walked in, I noticed the decor. Every wall was decorated with a ton pictures of people in the military. There were patches from Police departments and Fire departments, and even the Navy/Air Force football jerseys as well. We ordered our food, and sat down. While we were waiting, the table next to us was given a brownie with a message saying "Thank you for your service" because the man was a veteran. That alone made me give this place 5 stars. The food was absolutely amazing, and came out not long after us ordering. A woman, who I assume was the manager, was doing her rounds making sure everyone had everything they needed. For any newbies (like I was) the way you order is you come thru the doors that leads straight to the cashier there is a board above with all their menu items you pay first then sit and wait. It is all fast paced so you will be called within like 10 mins, if that! They have so many kinds of bbq sauce, my favorite is the smoky mountain! Not too sweet and of course the smoky part is my favorite! We always get the brisket, moist (I have yet to try lean!) and NC style pulled pork sandwich, which is coleslaw added to your pulled pork. Their baked beans is seriously a meal all in itself! I looooove it so much we usually get a quart of it lol. Baked Mac and cheese is also really good!! Love the crispy parts of the cheese when they bake it. And their French fries are OK. A little soggy which I makes sense because I think they make it there. It's meatacular!! I was very pleasantly surprised at how fantastic this place was. We stopped by on a Sunday for lunch and this place was packed nutz to buttz! Although they were super busy, we found ourselves a two-top and within 5 minutes of walking in through the door, we ordered, were served, and were digging in at our table. I ordered "Half a Yardbird" - smoked of course - and my wife ordered the turkey breast. I've had me some great smoked chicken in my day (LD's in East Troy) and Mission's was right up there. My wife's turkey was as tasty and as moist as she has ever had. We each ordered Mac & Cheese as a side. It was pretty good, but not on par with the meat. My wife is now in love with the blueberry cobbler and I expect we'll be back soon for more of that. Normally I don't expect much from any chain restaurant, but Mission is an exception. I want to like this place so badly, but every time we go our food is different. The first time I ordered my brisket "moist" and it was so perfectly delicious. The second time I ordered it the same way and it was 75% actual fat and 25% meat. I had to ask for a different portion because there was hardly anything there--I'm all about the juicy goodness of a fatty piece but I'm not going to eat an inch thick piece of fat. Of course the man behind the counter was all "well you ordered it moist and we can't control the...blah blah blah." Look, I get it, but the challenges that come with smoking a delicious brisket are the same challenges I'm avoiding by paying $15 for it at Mission. The 3rd time I visited I ordered my meat lean and it was so juicy and flavorful that I didn't need any sauce. Tonight's version of lean is crumble apart dry and I had to smother it with sauce to get it down. I would just like some consistency and right now this place is a total gamble to me. First time visiting and OMG soooooo good. Person who took our order was knowledgeable about the menu and made suggestions at our request and he was dead on with the combinations he said to try. We also noticed that there was peach cobbler on the menu and anyone who has a granny that makes true southern peach cobbler knows it's hard to beet but I'll say this is the best peach cobbler I've had(other then my southern Granny's) it really highlighted the flavor of the peach without being too sweet or tart. My wife and I stopped here the other night on our way home from Indiana. We were first introduced to Mission BBQ in Florida. We've never had a bad experience. The food is excellent and not overly expensive. The servers and management are excellent! It was close to closing time and the worker shutting down the drinks went table to table to see if anyone wanted anymore lemonade or tea before he shut it down. BEST BBQ. The meat is amazing, we had pulled pork, brisket, and pulled chicken and they were all perfectly cooked. The fresh cut fries are amazing as well. I wasn't a fan of the sauces, they seem to all have vinegar in them but the meat and sides are so good, you don't need it. They do have several sauces to choose from though! We had never tried this place, but we are always willing to give BBQ a chance. The line moved quickly, the customer service was awesome all around and the food was excellent. The cashier took a few minutes to explain things and we got a range of the different sauces to try with our to-go order. Went here for first time earlier this month and everything was delicious. We were testing out the food for an upcoming baby shower and our party of 5 all tried different items. On a weekday afternoon three of us took in a five star movie, Green Book, and afterwards had our first visit to Mission BBQ for some fast food bbq. On this afternoon some menu items were pretty good and some not up to par. The place was clean with plenty of friendly help. The baby back ribs, fresh cut French fries and baked beans were pretty good although we wish they were served hotter. The baby back ribs were very lean and tender. With six sauces to choose from there is one for everyone's taste. For beverages the ice tea and lemonade were also very good. The let downs were the mostly fat spare ribs, too salty brisket, dry Mac and cheese and dry corn bread. Overall, the food was a let down. My fiancé and I decided to try Mission after a pair of bad days at work. Having never been to a Mission before, we weren't entirely sure what we were in for. Abigail at the register was very nice and did an amazing job explaining their system and menu. The manager, Justin, was also super friendly and made us feel welcome throughout our stay.
