We came to a packed house on a Sunday and the staff did a wonderful job to show us their hospitality! The Carrot cake pancakes were tasty and the side of eggs, bacon, and hash browns were done superbly! The chocolate chip pancakes were a little underdone, but it's expected that they were not leaving food on the flattop for long based on how busy they were! Donna is an Awesome Server! We haven't met someone like her in a long time! We will be back for the service and food , hopefully at a less busy time where they don't look like the parking lot is not large enough! The one downside is that the 50's diner ambiance was missing the music playing, so I played a 50's playlist on Spotify on my phone. read more

I've been coming here for years. Friday night, I wanted fish fry, my wife wanted pie ! There is only one place to go for pie, Diner 45. I got my fish, wife ordered a club. The hostess today leaves much to be desired. Then no one waited on us and after about 10 minutes we left. We come here often but it's time to take a break. Maybe revisit in a few months to see if staff has changed. They really only have one good waitress but she hasn't been there the last few times we went. Last week we had so many dirty dishes on the table and empty drinks the waitress walked by several times oblivious to it. In this economy, you'd think people would want the business and tips. We ended up at Vegas Cafe in Antioch which was not much better. I guess McDonalds it is today. Tired of all mediocre to zip service. Time to stay home and eat cereal. read more

They have a very large food and drink section. You always have leftovers to take home. Their food, whatever you decide to order, is tasty. And their ice cream desserts are delicious. This is super close and convenient to the strawberry farm! Great place to stop for breakfast afterwords. The decor is detailed and so much fun. We visited friends while on our way to Kenosha and decided to meet up at Bristol 45. It's a cute local spot with a 50s vibe. It's a popular destination for bikers and the parking lot was packed when we arrived. We checked in with the hostess and we didn't wait long for a table. We were seated within minutes. Note they won't seat you until everyone in your party has arrived. They have typical diner offerings and what we ordered was very good. Ben ordered country fried steak and I got a Philly cheesesteak wrap. Both our dishes were good and I liked my cream of chicken soup side too. Our waitress was super friendly, and we had a nice time here. Pricing is decent with many meals priced under $12.00. read more

We have been wanting to try this place and this place does everything right! 1. We were really impressed with the service. The staff was super friendly and managed our expectations. 2. Our waitress was really busy but did a stellar job! She had a huge table of 12 but also made it a point to apologize for any delays (due to her other tables) but she did an amazing job and we did not even feel like our food was delayed. 3. The eggs and crepes were incredibly tasty. I would definitely recommend the crepes. They even had a cute unicorn dish for kids (with an ice cream cone for the horn!). The coffee was super hot which was appreciated. I wasn't quite a fan of the OJ (not freshly squeezed) but the drinks came super fast which I really liked! 4. Situated off of Interstate 45, the diner's interior features old school movie memorabilia--offering a playful nod to the cultural icons of 1945. While there is often a wait to get a table, service is quick once inside. I started with the French Vanilla hot chocolate, which was creamy and decadent to the point of almost being too rich. Imagine cocoa powder with melted vanilla ice cream heated in a mug with mounds of whipped cream on top. Starting a meal this way is dangerous, as one will need to save plenty of room for the massive selection of main courses. Finding myself smack in the middle of "America's Dairyland," I ordered the cheese blintz. The dish was reminiscent of a crepe, but served with syrup, my choice of fruit, and yet more whipped cream. The filling wasn't overly sweet, but heavy and satisfying. To be honest, this is an area without many good restaurants. The 45 Diner is doubtless the best option in town. Went for brunch with a group of five over the summer. The atmosphere was nice and the service was nice but the food was hit or miss for me. Everyone else loved what they got though so I think I just ordered the wrong stuff. Their cream of chicken soup as a starter was fantastic - my favorite part of the meal. The Buffalo chicken wrap and fries I got weren't as good so I think I should have chosen something else on the super huge menu. The people I went with who got breakfast dishes seemed to really like them, and the portions were huge enough that everyone took home leftovers. They served coke not pepsi and they were nice with the refills, at least over the summer they were. All of the booths had extra plexi glass strung up to the ceiling between the tables to help separate them a bit more during the pandemic, I thought that was a nice way to help keep people and their staff safe while not totally changing around the look of the place. read more
