This is my 3rd time to Mission BBQ and I am a fan. I have also learned a few things that really help with my experience there. First my hat is of to their Community Ambassador and one of the managers Christianna Neville who is as nice as the day long and seems to be able to make each guest smile and happy with her very pleasant can do attitude. She was right there to help me and other people when they had issues. As this place is new to the area and new in general there are many things being learned by both the staff and the public at the same time. The first is the ever changing menu. I found out that they have seasonal items that they will regularly have but only for a limited time and then they change to the next seasonal item. Examples are their smashed potatoes and peach cobbler. Both are seasonal and since the restaurant has only been open a short time, they are both rotated out. The cobbler is a spring desert and now they are serving strawberry shortcake. This helps to keep the menu fresher with changing items but it can cause a family favorite to drop off the menu until its next rotation. Another thing that is being learned by both the staff and the public is the timing of when they will be busy and what is most popular there. Since they are smoking many of their foods and it cooks all day I have found some of the food that I had ordered seemed to be dry. If I mention it to a staff person they will replace it immediately with a better version based on the cooking time of the meat. The sauces they have cover a great variety of tastes and compliment the dishes very well. That having been said, timing can make the difference when ordering food. If you get there a little early, the meats may be a little moister than being there later. Even with all of the learning curves the place is doing well and the food seems to be a consistent hit with our family. The lines that form seem daunting but because of the way that the kitchen works, the line moves along steadily. For me it is worth the wait when there is one. For lunch I had the turkey sandwich while my wife had the pulled pork. We liked it so much that we went back for takeout for dinner where we got the brisket with mac and cheese and cornbread. I made corn on the cob at home and sugar snap peas. The brisket was a little dry but it was so flavorful and the sauces really helped. It was a great meal for a cloudy and rainy day. Best BBQ in the area. Love that their "mission" is to honor the military, first responders, and ems. I have been to this location many times and always have enjoyed the food. The Chopped Brisket sandwich and any of the seasonal desserts are my favorite menu items. If you have never been, know that all of the meats are dry rubbed, and the sauces are on the side, allowing you to mix and match the different flavor profiles. If you want to try multiple meats, get the meat sampler and you will not be disappointed. They have a kids menu as well as a gluten free menu if you ask. They have homemade lemonade and sweet/unsweet tea in addition to fountain sodas and bottled drinks. Highly recommend if you are ever in the Warminster area. read more

First time here and was a great experience. The line seems long where you order but moves quickly. We ordered the 3 meat sampler, while good the platter was a little small. We tested all 6 sauces too. Main issue was no chicken not sure how you can have not enough chicken available on a Friday night at 6. The kids portion was perfect and Mac and cheese was very good. We got the ribs and side of Mac. It was plenty. It may not be the best place for a picky eater kid. Seating was easy to get after ordering as well. Tried the three meat sampler (brisket, pulled pork, and sausage) and two sides (coleslaw and Mac n cheese). Add a drink and I think the $18-$19 we paid was VERY reasonable considering this easily fed two of us. I'll start with the pulled pork. I'm generally not a fan (but my wife is) and she wasn't a fan. I thought it was one of the better pulled pork dishes I've had. The sausage portion I thought was really big compared to the other two meats, but honesty, a super market kielbasa would have been better. It wasn't bad. Just not memorable. Just not the flavor profile I expected. Most BBQ places I've visited served a peppery sausage so maybe it was because I was hoping for something along that flavor profile that I was disappointed. The brisket. Here's my main issue. I've never ever met a brisket I didn't loved until tonight. My pieces (which included a nice end piece with a beautiful bark) were so DRY that no amount of sauce could save what seemed like a low-quality cut of meat. We know brisket has lean and fatty sections. I drew the short straw and landed the lean section. Perhaps I could have requested fatty, but I don't know? I've never left brisket on my plate, but I just couldn't eat it. The sauces and vinegar bottle were definitely a nice touch. Was hoping they'd have a mustard-based option because some of the sauces were similar with subtle twists. I think a mustard-based sauce would might have helped the sausage. Sides were good. Portions are deceptive because they look tiny, but ended up being pretty good. I couldn't help noticed the weird prices. Why charge $1.99 for one and $2.04 for another and $2.25 for another? All I could think was that's a corporate number cruncher. Just charge me $2.25 for any side because that's just weird. Corn bread good. Arnold Palmer was yummy. Service was ridiculously fast. Checkout girl was happy and friendly. We were in and out in 20 minutes! Overall. Super quick. I imagine it's hit or miss of the quality of the meats. For a chain, it was good. My girlfriend and I went here today and it was our first time to a mission BBQ and we were greeted right when we walked in the door and the whole experience was amazing. The food was amazing and we loved the atmosphere. The best part was the service though. The cashier explained the whole menu to us because we were a little confused then if we had any questions about the sauces he told us to just ask which we didn't but still amazing service. Not only do the meats (brisket and ribs), mac-n-cheese and blueberry cobbler rock, cannot say enough nice things about the staff at this location. Everyone was super friendly and smiling from the minute we arrived until the minute we left. Khaleesi was particularly efficient and eager to help each time we needed something and Kayla was a wealth of knowledge on every aspect of Mission's mission. We are regulars for dine-in and take out. Our stand out favorite is the yard bird. The brisket is hit or miss. Once it was juicy and flavorful but other times it was very dry. They have great sides! Can't say I have ever been disappointed with anything I have eaten at Mission and I have tried quite a bit. I have tried almost all of the meat options and my favorites are any chicken selection, turkey, and ribs. So moist. So tender. So amazingly delicious. The sides are pretty spectacular- namely the mac n cheese. I've also tried the cole slaw, green beans, corn bread, spinach, fries, and baked beans. All range from good to awesome. The desserts I tried- carrot cake, brownie, bread pudding- were stellar. Brownie is by far my favorite, carrot cake is my kid's, and bread pudding is my hubby's. The sauces are an experience of their own, so we drip a bit of each into our platters to dip in. The Georgia mustard is really good as well. Another plus is the drink selection. Bottle or fountain, you will find something you love. Only thing to be aware of is that some items have sneaky heat.. the kind that you wouldn't necessarily expect, like in creamed spinach. I don't mind spice, but for people who do, just be aware that some items are peppery. Can't wait until I'm in the area again! Best BBQ around! read more

Absolutely loved Mission BBQ. I ordered the meat sampler and was not disappointed. The 6 sauces that they provide at every table are a real treat. they cater to all of your cravings and then some! I have tried the pulled pork, the brisket, and jalapeno/cheddar sausage. Pulled pork had some really great flavors and I added the KC sauce which brought out some sweetness. The brisket was slightly dry but it was not bone dry. I used the smoky mountain sauce to give it an extra kick. the sausage was slightly disappointing though. the flavor was great and I definitely felt the heat of the jalapenos. My only disappointment was that there was no :snap" to the skin of the sausage. My sides were the mac and cheese and the corn bread. corn bread was nice and fluffy and had a thin crunch to it as you bit into it. Couple that with some of the Memphis belle and your pallet will be doing a little dance! The decor was great and I appreciated the local representation for law enforcement and first responders. Just got back. Second try and last try. Spent $50 for a brisket sandwich and fries, half a pound of brisket fries and two pork ribs and a pound of brisket and three drinks. Corn bread provided with the brisket was not fully baked and tasted funky. The corn bread was brown instead of a bright yellow color. The pound of brisket platter was chopped up and fatty. Didn't ask for chopped brisket. The half pound was lean and sliced we think they mixed up the order. Well we tried it a second time but won't be coming back. My stomach is not so good right now. This place is great... from the drinks down to the foot.... yuuummmmmyy! I had the brisket sandwich and side salad. I was disappointed that they butter the rolls. It just adds fat lol.. the side salad and iced tea were absolutely amazing. I was disappointed that they don't offer light dressings. My fiancée got the pulled pork and said it was great. I love BBQ I'm from Texas so it's my go to food and I take BBQ very seriously. With that said I've been Mission BBQ is as close as I can get that I've found so far in the area to Texas BBQ. I know this a very new location so my review is based on going to this location twice. The first time everything's as great food service etc. The second time I ordered brisket moist(which is fatty which I love I do not like lean brisket). It was so over cooked and dried out I would not give it to my dog. I ordered a pound and a half and threw 99 percent of it away. After that everything else was good (jalapeño sausage...Mac and cheese and the potato salad Is ok). The first time they got the brisket right as to what I ordered. So with that I will go back but will either make sure the brisket is moist or order something else. read more

Every time I go, I pig out on meats. So much meat. I've tried the brisket, the chicken, the pork and the turkey. And I can assure you that it's all juicy, tender and full of flavor. Since recently opening there is always a long line so be prepared to wait. I like their patriotism theme showing support for our military, police and fire members. Pictures and badges everywhere. My impression was this is a really good fast food BBQ joint. Good management and the employees are well organized to handle the long line. Not a huge menu selection but the prices are reasonable. What I found annoying was they pre-measure everything and the portions are small. Example: The Meat Market Brisket sells for $8.79. I got 5 small slices and it was chewy, not worth the money. The pulled pork & chicken was much better but again very small portions. They sell a half a yard bird Chicken for $8.49. Double that and you're paying $17.00 for the whole chicken. Costco right across the street sells a delicious whole rotisserie chicken for $5.00 bucks. Conclusion: The food is good, affordable prices but small portions. If you're hungry and want a real BBQ dinner this is not the place. Again it's a fast food BBQ joint. read more

You have to look at it for what it is. It's not a fancy BBQ restaurant in the city (that would cost over twice as much). It's a chain restaurant with good size portions in the suburbs that's really cheap (~$8 for a sandwich), so I'm not judging this like a Philly BBQ restaurant (although you might wanna go there if you can afford to and have the time). I had the chopped brisket sandwich (which has sauce on it). It wasn't the best thing I've ever tasted (as I'm sure you know doesn't come from a restaurant in the suburbs), but it's very good for the price and not having to travel very far. You also get a lot for what you pay ($8 or $9, as opposed to $20 in the city for the same amount of meat on a sandwich plus sides). You get a lot of fries for a side, but the mac and cheese and potato salad are a little small. They're only like $2 if you buy them individually, so I guess it's okay, though. They do an "XL" and "XXL" combo where you get one or two sides and a drink for $2 or $4 more. Honestly the mac and cheese side was a lot better than my one favorite southern comfort food restaurant in the city. It was more cheesy and flavorful than my favorite place (and believe me, my standards are quite high). I don't know. Like it's obviously not going to be the best BBQ of your life, but I dig it for saving money and only driving 5 minutes down the street. Plus, there's something comforting about finding a good restaurant near your home than traveling far (Philly or farther) for an amazing restaurant. read more

First timer here. I told this lovely staff lady that it was our first time here and she was more than happy to walk it through for us. Major points for that. I ordered the XXL pulled pork sandwich which was delicious. Mac and cheese with Green beans and a sweet tea. The sweet tea was lovely and the Mac n cheese was so good my son stole mine and said it was the bEST! I would argue that my green bean were the best! They were like my Great Grandmother's recipe from Wheeling WV. The best southern green bean ever. . My husband ordered a chicken pulled and a really good potato salad. He also liked the choices of sauces on the table and the sweet tea. My daughter got the baby back ribs which she loved and bbq beans and cornbread. The loss of the fifth star was for those sides. Your baked beans needed brown sugar or molasses and your cornbread was dry and needed more buttermilk or butter. My son had Mac n cheese and ribs and said he loved it and wanted to live here. My husband said to tell the restaurant I would give them a fifth star. If my brothers entry for the smoker wins lol. Great idea for a Father's Day entry. read more

I ended up here with a few friends for a quick lunch and the service was great. Fast to order and maybe 2-3 minutes to actually receive my food. The pulled pork sandwich was great with many choices of sauce to use with it. The price is cheap but you get a good portion of food for the money you do spend. Very good barbeque, but what makes this place truly special is the staff and their excellent customer service. We've eaten at the Warminster, Pa. location twice in the past month and, since we had our dog with us, we ate in the outside dining area. Each time, as soon as a staff member noticed us, they brought out a large bowl of water for the dog and asked us if he'd like a bone :-) What's unusual for this style of restaurant is that staff members came outside to check on us and ask if we'd like refills on our drinks. All in all, I think Mission Barbeque and their business model is an absolute winner. read more
