Went in for a quick pedicure, the owner was my nail tech Mindy. Consistently tried to sell me on gel I said no 5 times, I had to ask her to clean my nails and file evenly. Then continued to text on her phone every 3 minutes. I wanted to try out a new place for pedicures for a couple reasons, more color options and closer to home. I found Instyle and they had great reviews. They didn't disappoint! As soon as you walk in, they ask you to wash your hands. I was caught off guard, but appreciate the extra effort to keep their bottles clean and germ free when customers are selecting colors. I have the best manicurist (Sarah at Sola salons that I've been going to for years but she only does nails - gel and acrylic designs) and I always like to try to match my toes to my fresh mani which I haven't been able to do before coming here. Simple single color pedicures have been the closet that I've been able to do. But Lora at Instyle is super sweet and does her best to match my manicure which has been fairly close each time! See pics! :) On my first visit I couldn't find just the right color to match my mani, but Lora was able to help me find the perfect color match! I usually get the European sea salt or raw earth mud spa pedicure. The leg massage is wonderful! The shop is super clean and organized. They have fancy massage chairs which is nice. There was only one other customer there on a Friday evening and it was great! Peaceful and quiet! I recommend calling ahead of time either that day or a couple days before to make sure you get the time you want to go in. Parking lot can get packed depending on the day because it's in the same lot as McGregors Ale House. If you're looking for a clean, peaceful and great pedicure come here! My girlfriend came in to get her nails done, but it wasn't Mindy who worked on her. During the appointment, the nail tech started talking about how her boyfriend works for ICE. My girlfriend and daughter, who are both Mexican, found the comment offensive and uncomfortable. The comment was unnecessary and felt insensitive, especially in that setting. I understand that a lot of business thrive and depend on reviews so I'm hoping that with this review it'll help not only the business push to improve but also give clients an honest insight. I went 4 days ago to get an acrylic full set and they were terrible. Please refer to my photos and go at your own risk. I feel that in this economy you should expect to pay for a good service, but if you have the money, go at your own risk. Prices are cheap so you'll definitely get cheap quality.
