It's disappointing to leave this review I have gone to mission for other event however, I have called multiple times no one ever picks up and no call back after leaving a number. It really just seems like they don't want your business. Their voice mail also says Fridays they are open and a walk in is all you need but they are always closed on Friday when I stop by. So with no one answering the phone and no call backs how can I schedule an appointment and how can I walk in when no one is there. It's very frustrating. read more

Jim is the MAN!! We were referred to see Jimmy from a family member, and we are glad we met Jimmy, he was fast and he made sure every suit was perfect all the way to the tie and bowtie. we had a family member visiting from Northern California and I wanted to get his suit for him, all he had to do was tell me his measurements. so I passed his measurements on to Jimmy at Mission Tux, and he got the exact measurement suit and shoes, and he said that when our family member visiting from out of town arrives the day before the wedding, that he can make any corrections to the suit the next morning. but when our family member arrived and tried the suit and shoes, everything fit perfectly on him. he also had the exact suit I was looking for me and my best man, we had a Nautical Theme Wedding and I wanted us to wear Navy blue suits, he measured me and my best man really quick and we picked out the style of every piece for the suit. we got the suits really quick, and everything fit perfectly. My experience with Mission Tuxedos was tedious to say the least. On my initial order, I requested a long tie in a shade of blue. Upon my arrival for pick up I discovered they had given me a bow tie in the wrong shade. I notified the workers and told them. They told me to come back the next day and pick up my long tie with the matching pocket square because they were at their other shop in SB. Next, I get dressed to get ready for Prom Night and discover that I had received 2 different shoes. So I had to, yet again, drive to Mission Tuxedos to get a MATCHING pair of shoes, the evening before my dance. I suggest that when ordering, be VERY specific with what you want. And when you arrive to pick up, check EVERYTHING in the store to make sure it fits your request. read more

My son recently participated in his classmates quinceañera and Mission Tuxedo happen to be the place we were asked to get his tuxedo from. Now this was the first time I've ever had to take my son in for a tux and wasn't sure what the procedure was. When we went in to have him measured it literally took all of 2.5 minutes. I couldn't believe how painless it was. Now here's where Mission Tuxedo went from ordinary to EXTRAORDINARY, day of event my son calls in a panic that after seeing everyone else's tux he realizes he's missing his pocket square. I ran to the bag and nothing. I immediately call the office where I'm greeted by Jimmy. He tells me not to worry, I can swing by and he'll have it ready. GREAT! !! I jump into action and just as I'm leaving out the door I receive a call...it's Jimmy!!! He realized that the event is across the street from his shop and offers to walk it over to my son. Now mind you when I called I was in such a panic I neglected to give my name or contact info. Jimmy did some detective work and was able to retrieve the last call to get ahold of me. He went above and beyond the call of duty and for that, he's gained a new faithful customer. With 2 teenage boys we will definitely be using good services in the future. My wife and I wanted to find a local business for the wedding suit rentals. We are firm believers that the personal experience/relationship that you can have with small companies is well worth the time it takes to search for them. Our search led us to Mission Tuxedo in Ventura. I was apprehensive about the logistics of the suit rental process since my groomsmen were scattered all throughout the country. For this reason, I was leaning towards settling with a large chain store for convenience. However, after visiting Mission Tuxedo in person and talking with Jim Vasquez (the manager), we felt much more confident. We discovered that Mission Tuxedo is part of a nationwide partnership between hundreds of other suit stores called Jim's Formalwear. All my groomsmen had to do was visit a local Jim's Formalwear participating store (website has a map), get measurements, then send the measurements to Mission Tuxedo. When it came to picking the ideal suit design and getting each suit tailored to fit perfectly, all in a short amount of time, that's where Jim Vasquez came in. Jim Vasquez has been working in the suit business since the early 70s and therefore has a lot of experience with making sure your suit fits perfectly. The fit makes the suit go from good to great, so this is the most important part of the suit. Also, Mission Tuxedo's tailoring process has a fast turnaround (within a day or two). In addition to all this, Jim gave us his cell phone number and offered any services necessary on the day of the wedding if needed. Talk about good old-fashioned quality service. Also, the prices are also very reasonable considering what you get in terms of quality suits and service. I have been a groomsman several times in the last few years and the prices are on par with the chain stores that I have had to go through for other weddings. I felt like I was being pushed through the rental process, with very little tailoring being offered and being handled by someone who probably worked somewhere else a month ago. With Mission Tuxedos you get much for your money. The level of effort that he put forth assured us that we were not just another customer to rush through the process. My wife and I were very pleased with the results and grateful for the attention to detail of the people at Mission Tuxedo. Used mission tuxedo for my wedding. The tuxedos were in good condition looked nice. However 3 of the 6 tuxedos were missing cumber-buns. Even though we were assured at pick up that everything was there. Also, every time I called the shop my order was magically changed into something that I had not ordered. They seemed to lack organization. Overall- nice tuxedos (when they have all the parts), but customer service and organization can cause some headaches. read more
