This is a super cute spot for working or catching up with a friend, very cheerful retro atmosphere. They were out of ice cream sadly but I tried the apricot poppy bun and it was so delicious. Not too sweet, nice caramelization paired with the crunch of the seeds, and fluffy on the inside. Everything is ordered at the counter and served on these cute little trays. There were lots of tables available on a rainy day, although the back patio was closed it looked super cute. I'd come back for the chicken and the ice cream, which seems like their specialty. read more

I hate to have to review but maybe it will Help you guys improve. First of all the service is terrible and slow. Unfortunately this is not a slow paced neighborhood. I came in at 5pm on a Wednesday with not ONE person in there, 2 people working, and I came in and they said hello and never asked what I wanted. I waited a good 5 minutes for them to finish their convo before I walked out. To be 5 feet from me and not ask a customer what they want, is crazy to me. They said goodbye though. In addition, they never have much in the showcase.... Or the soft serve machine is broken... idk always something. I had an excellent egg salad ONCE, it was great The space is perfection. Beautiful, airy , and trendy. But if you don't improve the staff, speed, and quantity of items, it will be hard to survive. read more

3.5 Stars Most of our group enjoyed their meals but the real stand out was the soft serve ice cream. We ordered the Breakfast sandwich with a side of honey roasted carrots, citrus tofu with the sides of brussel sprout salad and the garlic and chili broccolini, and a grilled cheese sandwich. My friends said their meals were good but my grilled cheese sandwich was extremely salty, so much so, that I was barely able to eat half of it. This spot caught my eye and I was really hoping it'd be good. The interior is nice but the food is mid. The rotisserie is basically Costco chicken plus some herbs. It was nothing special and a little dry. It also didn't come out hot it was just warm. The sides were also pretty bland. Where is the chili and garlic flavor in chili and garlic broccolini? The chicken Caesar salad wrap was pretty small for $15 and was not good. read more

Love the name & for now everything out of a window on court st.likeWinner. Court St has sooo many bakeries including Caputo, Court Pastry & Monteleones.This doesn't include Brooklyn Granary which mills its own flour. The spot already has plenty of folks lining up. There's soft serve which has vanilla pumpkin and a twist. There was soup for $9. I got a chocolate chip cookie $4.90 It was tasty with sea salt and lots of chocolate. I'm partial to Winner's version but I will try more when the open the indoor cafe on Thursday. read more

I love all the vibes coming from Mister Cheeks. The design is so pleasant and retro. I can't wait to get some merch! I've tried it a few times since it opened, though not the full experience yet (they either just opened their doors or will very soon). I love the soft serve. I suffer from diminished flavor sensitivity from covid, so usually vanilla soft serve doesn't have much taste to me. Which makes me so sad, because I love it! Their vanilla soft serve is the first I've tried since losing some flavor detectors that still tastes so wonderfully vanilla-y. What a delight! Can't wait to see what other flavor combos are to come. The pumpkin was delicious but not a flavor I want frequently so hoping there's some Christmasy flavors in our future like peppermint. I will say though the pastries I tried are a little lacking. MAJOR thumbs down to the black and white cookie. It really needs some tweaking. The texture is more like a fibery biscuit than the cake like texture I love and the flavor was a no-go. There was way too strong a lemon flavor (should be oh so subtle imo) and also a bitterness to it. I hope the recipe changes because it looks perfect! For now, I'd rather get my black and white cookie fix from a bodega. Can't wait to try their meals when they're fully up and running! read more

This cafe caught my eye and I'm glad I decided to stop by today. The citrus kale salad with homemade dressing was outstanding, can't wait to eat it again! The citrus tofu was also delicious, especially when paired with the housemade hot sauce. And one of the owners, Lindsay, was super friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend! read more

Every time I'm here it takes forever for them to make a coffee. Three times I've been it's taken at least 15 minutes. Once they even forgot my drink entirely. The people around also seem annoyed but no one ever says anything...I also just get a back coffee so I don't know why they don't prioritise drinks that are easier to execute. It's such a shame because I love the space. I love how close it is to me and the people working seem very sweet. But the slow pace is enough for me to avoid it if I'm running late in the morning. read more

This place is a crown jewel on Court Street. It's beautiful inside, with great coffee, friendly staff, and delicious food. The rotisserie chicken is a must try, especially with the spicy chipotle type sauce. However, I would remiss if I didn't mention the bean soup. I've had beans from all over, if you name a bean I've had it. Some have been too hard, some have been too soft. This soup was PERFECT. If you're a bean lover like I am, do yourself a favor and grab these up. It's bean on my mind all day, and I can't wait to come back for more. read more
