Unassuming bar and restaurant. We sat in the dining area that had a pool table, tables, and booths. Not very busy. Smelled like disinfectant, so guessing that means they clean well. Service was good. We shared the pub fries, beef on weck, wings and a juicy burger. Good food.

Mitchell's is a friendly neighborhood bar and restaurant with a few craft and domestic beers on tap, a full bar, and delicious food. It's true that they have the best Beef on Weck! It's juicy and tender. You can also get it served on a plain costanzo roll or on white bread with gravy (like a hot brown). We also ordered the banana pepper crunch rolls (special) which were absolutely delicious, as well as the onion rings which came with a spicy boom boom sauce. The onion rings were wonderful; crunchy and not greasy at all. The bartenders here were friendly and checked on us frequently. Everything came out quick. I would definitely come here again for a drink and meal because several of their menu items looked fantastic!

The beef on weck was amazing. Did the special that comes with 5 wings too and the wings were really good. Service and beer selection is also good.

Decided to stop here because we were in the area and the pictures on Yelp looked too good to pass up! It was not busy on a Saturday around dinner time which was nice that we walked right in and had a table. There isn't much seating but there's a bar area too that I'm sure you could order at. I was mostly excited for the wings and ordered hot and was offered extra crispy which I of course accepted. They were not crispy and were not the best , just ok. I ordered the roast beef and that was very good and I would definitely recommend. One thing I didn't like is that the sandwiches did not come with fries (no one wants chips!) so fries are extra but the food is so cheap it's not a big deal. The service was so good that I would come back for sure!

This is an unexpected treat in the middle of nowhere. There is complimentary popcorn, so of course I'm in. We saddle up to the bar and the bartender, Lisa, is extremely friendly and helpful telling us what they are known for, which is beef and beer. Nick, the owner, is also very friendly and is the cook. They have many specials, the best being 60 cent wings during Buffalo Bills and Sabres games. Score! Who cares if either team is winning when you could get cool sauces that include alcohol like Jack Daniel's BBQ and Deep Eddy's Garlic Parmesan. I went with the beef on weck and wing combo, which was $12.50. That price is incredible compared to what everyone else in Buffalo charges. The beef was tender and very good. The wings were sauced medium and very crispy. I really enjoyed the entire thing. I can't wait to get back here for 60 cent wings and to try the birch beer that I spotted when I was already full from my meal.

Another great meal, been going to Mitchell's for years. This time we ordered for takeout. A classic cheese burger with potato salad, Southwestern bbq burger, beef on weck with onion rings and beef on weck, with 5 hot wings. Beef is always prepared right, not over cooked and tender. Burgers are delicious, onion rings are crispy, what more could you ask for, great tavern good food.

Went to watch the Bills game here. Was able to get a table in the bar area which was great! Dive bar feeling. *Beer specials...I believe it was $3.50 for a LARGE mug of draft beer. *60 cent wings! *Giveaway at halftime Now to the food: Took the bartenders suggestion on mixing Carlos Hot and Garlic Parm -TWO THUMBS UP!!! As a BBQ on the pit type of gal, I got to say this mixture was wonderful-I liked em more than my usual BBQ. She also recommended mixing the Jack daniels BBQ with Garlic Parm-Next time! Wings had the right amount of sauce and right amount of crisp! They are known for their roast beef but wasnt really in a roast beef kind of mood so I compromised (with myself) and got the Mitchell Fries. Fries topped with Roast Beef and their own steak sauce -Also on a suggestion....I replaced the steak sauce with Boom Boom sauce! DELICIOUS CHOICE!

This is a place that i have seen many times but?didn't ever stop in. I heard good things about the beef on weck. I was in the area so I stopped in while waiting for the bus. It's a big place front dining room long bar that opens onto the patio. The bar and patio has four tables the dining room has eight as well as a pool table. I was greeted by the bartender Lisa who is very nice and knowledgeable of the food and drink menus. Mitchell's has a reputation of good roast beef on weck but the Philly steak is another favorite. The Philly steak had a hot sauce that sounded good so I decided to get the beef on weck with a side of the said "Carlos hot sauce". The sandwich was as good as I heard it was. Tender sliced beef with horseradish on the side and a dill pickle. At Lisa's suggestion also a small order of Cajun fries. Food came quickly and hot. Delicious beef on weck and fries. I also tried two of the bar's ten draft beers. The southern tier ipa and carlsberg pilsner. Both were delicious cold and wet. Truly hit the spot. I will make it a plan to return.

Carlos wings. Cooked perfect accompanied with blue cheese (of course) and celery. Yumm!!

Updated to 5 stars. Have been here dozens of times after first review. Just love their food and service. I added a few more pics from the other night. Go there just once, and I bet you will return.

This place is amazing. There was a small crowd and it was around 6:30. It is the quintessential neighborhood bar featuring skee ball, darts, pinball machines, a boxing game and a hunting video game. There is an ATM and coin machine. They even played the Bandits game, which was really great considering they are in the playoffs. Although this is a Chiefs' backer bar, they also support the Bills, when the Chiefs aren't playing them. The owner, chefs and bartender were extremely friendly. Plus, they have hooks underneath the bar for purses, which is always a big plus to me. I had a couple NY Sours, which were made without egg whites, and they were delicious. I could have drank them all night long, but really two was a great amount. My boyfriend had a Negroni and some beer and enjoyed it. We saw the rave reviews for the burgers and my boy was craving a burger. I ordered the sweet chili wings extra crispy, my boyfriend had a burger, and we split the cheese fries. The fries were great - curly fries with queso, chives and bacon. It hit the spot. My wings were wonderful and I can't wait to go back and try more of the delicious food. Every item coming out of the kitchen looked phenomenal. It has all your standard bar food, but it is wonderfully done. Our bill was around $70, not including tip, but that was for the 3 food items, 2 NY sours, 1 Negroni, and 2 beers, which isn't bad at all for a Saturday night. We played some rounds of skee ball and a game of Cricket on the dart board. It was a great relaxing way to spend a Saturday night after gardening for weeks.

When we noticed it had finally reopened under new ownership, my husband and I were genuinely excited to give it a try. Today (Sunday, July 19th), with clear blue skies, no smoke, and one of those perfect Niagara summer afternoons, it seemed like the ideal place to meet friends for lunch on the patio overlooking the Niagara Parkway. Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, the experience steadily went downhill. Shortly after we were seated, the band introduced themselves by announcing they were there to "make some noise." They certainly delivered on that promise. The volume was so excessive that the restaurant windows were literally vibrating. It became impossible to have a conversation, even while seated inside with the patio doors closed. Every time the doors opened, the noise was overwhelming. We watched customers leave because they simply couldn't tolerate it anymore. As someone who has spent decades in the restaurant industry as a Director of Operations and Director of Training--and who has also been trained vocally and sung most of my life, I appreciate live entertainment when it's done well. This wasn't. The singer struggled throughout the performance, the drummer never settled into the pocket, and the bass consistently lagged behind the beat. It sounded more like an unrehearsed garage band than entertainment that enhances a dining experience. Live music should create atmosphere, not drive customers away. The service was equally disappointing. Our server mentioned she was "new," although she also said she'd been there for a couple of months. New staff aren't the problem--lack of training is. Simple service fundamentals were missing throughout our meal. Empty glasses and finished plates remained on the table long after they should have been cleared. Drinks weren't delivered promptly because staff seemed more engaged in conversations with each other than watching their tables. There was little evidence of anyone managing the dining room or coaching the team. Then came the food. It arrived hot, which is always appreciated, but that's about where the compliments end. The tzatziki bore little resemblance to authentic tzatziki. It tasted more like sour cream mixed with relish than yogurt, cucumber, garlic, dill, and lemon. As a matter of fact, there was no garlic or dill in it at all. The rice was so heavily salted that it was inedible. The "Greek salad" was simply a bowl of lettuce with a few rings of red onion, three olives, and some feta scattered on top. A traditional Greek salad (horiatiki) is built around fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, green pepper Kalamata olives, feta, olive oil, oregano, and either red wine vinegar or lemon. Lettuce is rarely part of an authentic Greek salad. None of us expected perfection. We just wanted to try a new restaurant, sit on the patio and enjoy some time with our friends - that didn't happen - Instead, we left wondering how a restaurant with such a prime setting could miss the mark in so many fundamental areas: atmosphere, service, training, and food quality. A spectacular location can attract first-time guests, but only a great dining experience brings them back.
