    a plate of desserts

Came here on a whim since we just noticed it! I didn't go in, my bf did since we had the dog in the car. I stayed with the dog. He said everything is prepacked and you just point to what you want and then pay. The sweets were really really good and taste just how I remember them from india. The only thing is that I wish they came in smaller quantities. We got 3 containers and it is just a tonnnn of sweets. Otherwise, it's a great spot for Indian sweets!

    Pista barfi, raabri and malpua

Stopped by the place after dinner for dessert. Did not disappoint. I tried the kaju sandesh which was good. BUT THEIR KAJU AND PISTA BARFI. That's ecstacy. The Pista being the clear winner. The happiness my taste buds feel . So obviously try the pista barfi, so the store is vegan so they don't use Ghee in their sweets which a key element for my Indian palate, it adds the oomph factor. It's not bad but the pista barfi does have the oomph factor (yes I'm strongly advocating for it). I did try the raabri and the maalpova, that was good too. Pour some raabri on top of the maalpova, ask for the maalpova to be heated if you are planning to eat at the store. The store is small with 3 tables from what I recollect. I did have an interesting conversation with the owner which was entertaining. GO PISTA BARFI!! - inserting cheerleading -

This is a small Indian sweets store and I went in upon finding about it on Yelp. I must say I was pleasantly surprised by how good the desserts were. I hadn't preordered so I was going to buy boxes on display for Diwali. With one vegan in our group, they had an assorted vegan box which included : Boondi laddoo, mothichoor laddoo and kaju kathli. They were really good, especially the mothichoor laddoo. Will definitely be back and get some the next time I'm in Cary side. I also tasted a sampling of their burfis before ordering a box of the pistachio ones and those were heavenly. A good amount of salty pistachios and fudge sweetness. This was wonderful to indulge in. Note : this was not vegan. The pricing was also reasonable. Not terrible, given the quality- about $10 per box I'd ordered. Overall : will definitely go back for indulgent sweets.

Their new location is very nice and spacious and there's plenty of parking too! We got the Cast Iron Skillet Cornbread, Grilled Romaine, Hearts of Palm & Lion's Mane "Crabcakes", and Southern Style Plate with BBQ "pork". The cornbread was so moist and the crabcakes were flavorful. The grilled romaine was a revelation - I loved whatever creamy sauce it came with, the candied nuts, and the smokiness of the romaine. The BBQ "pork" was probably my least favorite thing, but don't get me wrong, it was still tasty. We asked for a little more BBQ sauce to go with it and our waitress got it for us right away. The drinks were also fantastic! I got the Autumn Flare which was coconut water, housemade falernum syrup, pineapple juice, and lemon. So refreshing and yummy!

I usually order the two chicken skewer kabobs with rice, a super salad, and the jalapeño cilantro hummus. The hummus is *so* good that I often grab a small container to take with me when I travel. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, and you can really tell they use quality ingredients, especially with olive oil as a base. They offer both fresh pita and gluten-free pita, which is great for anyone with dietary restrictions. Honestly, I could make a meal just out of all the sides--they're that good. The menu is consistently solid, and I feel like you really can't go wrong with anything you order. It's a perfect spot for a low-key lunch or dinner. Also worth noting: on Tuesdays, kids eat free with a paying adult, which is a great bonus for families. Highly recommend!

The portions are very generous, so if you can't finish your meal, it's easy to take the leftovers home. They conveniently provide to-go containers and bags for customers. One thing I found a bit challenging was the ordering process. There is a huge selection of food, which can be overwhelming for first-time visitors. I would have appreciated a little more guidance from the staff when making my choices, as I think it would have helped me order more confidently. Overall, it's a good place with plenty of options and great portion sizes.

The menu accurately describes the dishes, and we all were pleased with what we ordered. The fajitas portion was massive! And there was a huge amount of steak in the steak tacos. The server was very nice and understood the menu well, which was important because a member of our party had dietary restrictions (gluten). My only slight dislike was that the music is crazy loud. We sat in a booth and conversation was difficult to hear.

CAUTION: Disgusting Tacos Ahead!…read more My wife and I had lunch on Friday, June 1. Let me start with the one thing that was good, then elaborate on everything else, which was not ... especially the "scab" tacos. Really?! Scab tacos??!! [They chose the name, not me. Bet they would like a do-over. Just sayin'.] THE GOOD - The smokey, deep brown salsa served slightly warm was quite tasty. EVERYTHING ELSE: 1. I had the Shrimp Diablo Tacos and they were a disaster! Not only was the shrimp fishy, but the "costra style" shells were an absolute abomination: VERY greasy, amazingly unattractive (see photo), and likely packed 800 calories each due to the grease and cheese. Since there was only 1 bar of web connection, I was unable to Google "costra style" before ordering. Had I been able to do so, the description of being "scab like" (yep! You read that correctly!! Scab!!!) would have made the dish a No Go. That said, I will say the term is accurate: they were DEFINITELY scab-like in appearance, and the degree of grease oozing off of them put me not only in mind of a scab, but one attached to an infected wound. Barf!! 2. My wife's #1 from the lunch menu was about as basic as a taco and enchilada can be. She even told me it was a stretch to call it Mexican food. 3. And one final point: the place is L-O-U-D inside. Not quite - but almost - to the degree of being unable to talk while eating. Adios!

Noodle Blvd is located in a spot that you could easily miss, but it's easy to get back on track. I pulled into the gas station parking lot beside the restaurant, then just turned right into the restaurant parking lot. The parking lot is fairly small, so be warned about that. My friend was there when I arrived, and he sat at the bar. When I walked in the door, I was greeted with smiles and waves. It was very inviting, which is fitting for a ramen restaurant. My friend ordered us Lychee Margaritas, and oh my goodness, it was so good! We decided to visit right at opening on a Saturday, so the bartender was still preparing some of the ingredients needed for the margarita. The bartender informed us that it's usually better once a key ingredient sits for a while, but I loved the drink regardless. I ordered edamame for an appetizer, which came quickly and was good! Since I've never had ramen before, I asked our server what he recommended, and he told me about some of their most popular dishes. He told me the N9. Chicken Curry Ramen was a favorite of his and the patrons, so I decided to order that. It came quickly, and I was immediately in HEAVEN upon my first bite. I loved every bite after! I decided to play it safe with the spice and got level 2, but I can definitely go up a level or 2 since I love spicy. Highly recommend, and I will be back! The short rib ramen was good, but the noodles were short, like they were cut or made short on purpose. The shrimp shumai was disappointing. Small bite sized portions, but they were soft. After cutting into one, I found out that they use rice as a filler with a bit of shrimp. I've never seen rice used in shumai, unless it's Shanghai sticky rice shumai. Also got a unagi don togo, it was good, just a bit small on the portion of eel, but it's hard to mess up an unagi don.

It was very, very good and started our meal off on a high note. For entrees, my dining companion had the pork collar and I chose the Khao Poon Gai. The pork collar was absolutely phenomenal with a deep marinated flavor and perfect char, while my dish was incredibly flavorful from the coconut broth and the grilled chicken. I got to sample the pork collar and will order it the next time we're here. Dessert was a bit of a letdown. We split the carrot cake and found it OK, at best. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't at the same level as the rest of our meal. I would not order this again. Service was outstanding. It's the kind of place where you can tell a lot of thought goes into how each dish is built. Every bite had so much flavor and nothing felt repetitive or expected. What stood out just as much as the food was the service. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to walk us through the menu, explain different dishes, and help us decide what to try. The ambiance ties it all together.
