Seating was immediately available but since one of the people in my party wasn't there yet they wouldn't sit us. I explained he would be here in 5 minutes. Still wouldn't sit us. I asked why can't I have a cup of coffee while we were waiting. Nope against policies. We left to go to Perkins where we were seated immediately. The last two times we ate here, service was slow. No refills on coffee and had to wait forever for our check after we told our server we were all set and needed nothing else. My food also arrived cold. We were crunched for time so I didn't send it back. Be prepared with a cash tip, as they say their system is not set up to take tips by credit card. Really inconvenient. This place would be the best breakfast/ brunch spot in the city of Bethlehem, IF the servers knew what they were doing. This is my third time coming here and the service continues to lags. Asking for something turns into a mission impossible and they get whatever you need on their own time. If a customer with food is asking for syrup, so they can eat, it doesn't make sense to do anything but get the syrup so they can eat their hot food. A server should not take another order or clean off a table before attending to a customer with hot food. I don't think they process getting things done, reasonably. I even had to go up to the register to ask for syrup and the gentleman told me my server would bring it over and I still had to wait an additional three minutes to get it, after already waiting about five. Besides the service, the food is nothing short but amazing. The only reason I continue to come back is for the food; if I could get my own drinks and whatever else I need I would do so myself at this place. The appetizer was bland for lack of seasoning. Cuban sandwich was not seasoned. Banh mi sandwich was overly salted. Only the pancakes were prepared well. All of the desserts offered were wrapped. Decided to try a crumb cake and when removing the Saran Wrap we found a dry, oily, dead worm which was stuck in the wrap. The cake looked old. The cashier asked for cash tip but I only had card on me. No smile or asking how the food was. So I didn't tell him. They do not know how to prepare food. I will not return. read more

It was filling for $10. I got the black bean quinoa burger. But the quality wasn't there. I have work in several restraunts in the lehigh valley and bergen county nj. The roasted peppers on the sandwhich were straight out of a can. The same stuff in a subway hoagie or your local salad bar. Get some fresh peppers which are easy to grow indoors and just throw some grill marks on them and leave them chrunchy for some texture on what otherwise is a pile of mush on a mushy bun. Maybe toast the bun or use a harder bread. I would gladly have paid $2 more for these changes and maybe a slice or 2 of avacado would have went nice with the sause. The sause was great where ever it came from in house or ordered. I will come back and explore other options because of the reasonable price point and proximity to my home. But quality or lack of is one of those things thats usually constant in a menu. Here is an idea invest in your own indoor garden for year round freshness. Do this with renewable resources off site but close enough to minimize transport cost and you are seeing an ROI in roughly 2 years on produce costs and 5-7 on renewable energy.. read more

I had a horrible experience. They will not make accommodations to your order correctly like put things on the side. The owner is arrogant and argumentative. He treats you as though you should be honored to eat his food. Here- the customer is never right and you have to eat the dish the way they make it or pay to order something else. If you do, it comes out worse. It not always about how good the food is (which it was just ok) if the experience is horrible. Not kid friendly with no changing station and only one high chair/booster seat. read more

Place was pretty sick I guess. Just make sure you go early or else you'll end up waiting around for a table while people sit around and sip coffee for an hour after their meal. Groups of 8 will leave and look at you and the crowd waiting and say things like "looks like we got here at the right time" or "must be the lunch crowd". Also don't talk shit and stare at people thinking you're safe behind those red dots on the windows because everyone inside can see through the dots. Everyone inside can see everything just apparently not the check on their table. But the food was fantastic, just expect to wait and BRING CASH. They take cards but they prefer cash. Guy in front of me tried to split a bill but who I could only assume was the owner said he already added it up. Apparently computers these days don't have "cancel" options. Then a trap door opened up underneath him. After that, I left and commented on the crowd waiting and said "looks like we got here at the right time." I know, I know. I harped on those people earlier. If you like to use a lot of syrup on your pancakes be prepared to pay!! I received 2 near thimble sized syrups with my order of delicious chocolate chip pancakes then when I requested a third as 2 was barely enough for 1 pancake I was charged $1 for another thimble sized squirt of syrup. Man at the register claimed syrup cost $75 a bottle perhaps he should consider a different brand ? I don't know. Haha! Food was good though I unfortunately will not be going back for some time do to syrup dispute and unwillingness for staff to offer a resolution. read more

My girlfriend and I were visiting the area from NJ. We were so glad we followed another Yelp members suggestion rather than grabbing brunch at a local diner! This place is ADORABLE. Great decor, great atmosphere, as well as friendly and attentive staff. All great things prior to even receiving the menu. The menu is expansive and sure to have something for everyone! I had the oatmeal French toast and my girlfriend had the philly omelet. When they came out the looked amazinggggg. And even better, they tasted it too! By far the best French toast I've ever had. The oatmeal crust was definitely unique. We were shocked by the giant bin of hot sauce brought over by our server for the omelet! This was my second experience here. The first one I was not impressed but I thought let's give it another chance. Our waitress was rude and not very attentive. Now I might be out of line at this . I consider myself very experienced in dining but if you tell the waitress you just do not like something and she talks to the owner to please replace it with something else don't most places accommodate you? Wrong order came to table. Offered to replace items instead of just making the correct order. AND it was all cold. Fish tacos are a fish stick only. After a half hour wait I expected more. Very disappointed. As for the response of my review - the replacement meal was ice cold. This was after you sent out eggs first without the option of a replacement meal. It's but hard for the waitresses to check the order before bringing it to the table. She admitted she didn't check it - because she was too busy chatting with other people. Also offering a refill on my drink after we paid?? What about when I emptied my cup before my meal came? Don't try and pretend you tried to fix things. You did not. I want to give this restaurant five stars for the decor and ambiance. The walls are covered with nice vintage looking things but it's not a giant unorganized pile of tchotchkes either! I thought it was all tastefully done and it all came together. Don't let the strip mall exterior fool you! We had the chicken and waffles and the shrimp and grits. Food was okay but was really nothing to write home about. The shrimp and grits were way too solid (instead of that proper sort of soupy-but-not-watery consistency) and lacked seasoning. The waffles were great but the chicken itself was bland chicken breast strips with a questionably unstable breading that lacked the characteristic crisp you associate with chicken and waffles. However, I would solidly recommend the Thai black sticky rice. Dad said it was spot on and reminded him of when he grew up in Indonesia. Additional note: the breakfast potatoes here are those diced and cubed ones (but fresh potatoes), not the crispy and thin homefries type. read more

Went to Mitzi's Table for breakfast today. They have a great variety of things on the menu. Something for everyone from traditional eggs, potatoes and meats (Bacon, sausage). Everything was prepared well and the sausage was house made with great flavor. The potatoes were well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Portions were perfect. You have to try one of their 6 homemade hot sauces. They are not so hot that they mask the flavor of anything, but enhance the meal. They also sell the hot sauce when in season (they grow and blend their own peppers). Only ding would be the coffee. It seems watered down/thin. If they fix the coffee, it would be exceptional. This restaurant's hours of operation are quite peculiar so it's important to note. We stepped in rights after the habitual lunch hour and were asked to order quickly before the kitchen closes at 3:00. On the other hand we weren't made to feel as though we should rush through our meals which was nice. Also note that the restaurant doesn't have a drinks fountain as most other American restaurants of the type do. All beverages are brand bottles only. This will be a bit of a disappointment for those of you looking for milkshakes and such, (and for those of us who prefer to drink seltzer water...) The starters we ordered were their quesadillas, and these were truly very good. Great tasting, original flavor, really very good. For the main dish I decided to opt for their "signature" burger (per it's name presumably) Mitzi's burger. I'd asked for the meat to be medium rare, slightly bordering on the rare side if possible. But I received a patty that was arguably closer to well done than anything else. The burger was meagerly garnished with cooked onions, a simple salad leaf and a tomato slice. There must have been some sort of packaged cheese in there somewhere but frankly it got lost in the disappointment one gets when biting into a burger that lacks all the high hopes such an establishment present. Also, the fries were without a doubt from the freezer. And while I'd asked to have them extra well done they came as they no doubt come in any order, done just enough. So while the starters were a welcome 10 out of 10, the burger on the other hand were a 3 or of 10. read more

As a pescetarian (and aspiring vegan) trying to eat healthy foods, I often find it difficult to find a place to eat where both myself and my carnivore, French toast loving friends can be happy. But this is that place. With vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free indicators on the menu, it works for everybody. They offer an eclectic and unexpected menu with everything from burgers and what I hear are amazing fries, to their own twists on ethnic favorites. What a great little place in the lehigh valley. Brunch is served all day, so if you feel like lunch at 8:30 instead of breakfast this is the place for you. Pulled pork is great, true to southern roots. Many southern inspired dishes throughout the menu, the ones I tried were executed perfectly. Not many restaurants in the lehigh valley can claim that. Cheese steak with aged provolone is fantastic. As was everything else we tried. Rolls were fresh, coffee was good. Service was great, very attentive to our needs. It's a small place, and gets busy so you may have to wait for a few minutes, but it's worth it. Will definitely be going back soon. read more

I wish I could give this place a higher rating. Some of the food there is quite good, others can be very tasteless, however, my low rating is based off of the fact that every time I've eaten here, I've been nickeled and dined to death. $1 per (tiny) side of ranch with an order of fries, and most recently, my favorite surcharge ever, $2 for a TINY side of syrup FOR MY FRENCH TOAST? Done. The food isn't good enough to try to catch them during their limited hours. This isn't the way to keep customers coming back. And you just lost 4 local ones. read more
