Mix never disappoints! From there HUGE cookies and Cupcakes to custom cakes they do it all. They even have a protein cookie that makes you feel good about yourself. This cake was so stunning definitely a conversation starter for years to come so simple yet so elegant. It was a staple to my wedding! The service requested was met beautifully! The atmosphere of this place is like something from an old magazine very classy and home like with tons to choose from.

We grabbed a ready to go cake and added our own decor and my daughter loved it! She requested a pink cake with ducks on it and I think it's perfect!! Taste was amazing. Fresh strawberry filling was to die for!

My son's birthday cupcake which he loved the look of it and even better, eating it!

Always a great experience with Mix Bakery! Staff is amazing and always in a good mood. Can't beat their cakes and cookies, my favorite is their pudding! They are super helpful with fundraisers throughout the community and their communication is top notch!

This bakery is a great little gem in Merced! We found them on Instagram and ordered a red velvet cake for my daughter's birthday. My daughter said the ladies were very nice and helpful when she went in to order her cake. The cake turned out to be very tasty and moist! It's definitely on the pricey side, but it made my daughter very happy. We went back to the store a couple of days later and the lemon bar is one of the best lemon bars I've had in a long time! There aren't many good options in Merced, so this bakery is a much welcomed treat!

My mom ordered her quinceañera cake from here ( she's 75 lol). We wanted something special. After seeing the reviews I said go there mom!! We ordered the bottom layer marble cake with mixed fruit inside and the top layer was the strawberry champagne with strawberry inside. Boy was it delicious!! Plus they were very kind and made her exactly what she wanted with a few embellishments that made it go above and beyond. If you're thinking of ordering a cake, you must come here. I live in LA and these deserts are one of the best I've had ever! Thank you guys for making her day special. There wasn't a piece left!!

I decided to grab some goodies here on the way to Costco and they did not disappoint. The staff was friendly, greeted me as I walked it and quick to help with my selection. Cookies: macadamia nut, chocolate chip, peanut butter and m&m. All very good, chewy and sweet. Oreo and peanut butter balls: delicious, we made sure to keep them in the fridge but they never dried out. Cheesecake: almost the best cheese cake I've ever had, the crust although good is plain but the actual cheese cake with fresh strawberry topping makes up for it. Chocolate Peanut butter cupcake: I got this for my husband but had a taste and ended up eating half of it it was so good! The chocolate cupcake was moist, not too sweet and the peanut butter frosting was perfect.

Had such a great experience ordering a custom birthday cake here. The owner took my order and was super helpful and professional. They're very customer service and detail oriented to make sure they get your order right. They did such a fantastic job and I was extremely satisfied with my order. It was beautifully decorated with the vintage piping and the edible cake glitter was so pretty and sparkly. Mix Bakery followed all the details I wanted for this cake. Most importantly it was delicious, moist, and held its shape well and was easy to cut. Loved the red velvet cake with the Oreos since they added a nice textural crunch with the soft cake. Everybody enjoyed the cake and was impressed with the taste and presentation. I definitely recommend trying Mix Bakery for your custom cake needs!

Got a strawberry champagne cake, cake was ok, the amount of frosting was thicker than the actual cake. making the cake look alot bigger than it actually was. I wanted a cake with frosting not frosting with a cake. I paid close to 40 with taxes for thin cake. read more

The cake did look beautiful, however I was expecting way more for an $85 cake. The frosting was very thick and extremely sweet, couldn't enjoy the flavor. I wanted to get something special for my daughter's bday, but the cake itself was just dry and tasted like an ordinary grocery store cake. No impressed at all. read more

Mix Bakery always knocks it out of the park. Cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and even their gluten free options. Recently, we had a birthday party at Mix and they did not leave one detail left out. I have had Mix Bakery cupcakes and of course they are so delicious... However today I bought some cookies, double chocolate chip, snickerdoodle and chocolate chip. WOW!!!!! there cookies are amazing. Super soft, chewy and full of yummy goodness. By far I would rate a 10 star. The prices are so great for the size of the cookie and just how delicious they are. I will defiantly be buying again. Hands down this is the best place to buy baked treats in Merced County. Cupcakes are to absolutely die for!!! I love gifiting a mix of half dozen cupcakes to friends and family. Last year they had beautiful jumbo chocolate dipped strawberries in boxes for Mothers Day. I bought several for my friends. They raved about how absolutely wonderful they were. Everyone that works at Mix is always so very friendly, kind and personable. The bakery is always so very clean. I can't say enough about how much I love Mix Bakery. I don't buy any baked treats from anywhere else. read more

STAFF: Friendly and helpful with what I was looking for. They greeted me the moment I walked in. They're patient with me when I was making my selection. 5/5 STORE: The location is not in the best part of town. Right as I pulled into the parking lot, a homeless lady was already passing by and acting bizarre. The outdoor area is not clean, but as you enter the bakery, it had a rustic farm vibe to it. Outside, there were a couple of youngsters hanging out by the Cricket phone store next door. However, for the inside, the display of cupcakes were nice and the price signs were well displayed. 3.5/5 CUPCAKES: I got 5 cupcakes with the 6th one being free. I tried all different flavors. The cupcake itself for me was moist; however, I did not like the icing. I was a bit disappointed with the red velvet because it didn't have a rich cream cheese flavor to it (in my opinion). My favorite cupcake would be the animal cookie. I was expecting a bit more out of the frosting flavors on the rest of the cupcakes. I wish they carried boxes with cupcake holders to fit into. I'm giving the cupcakes 1 star for being big, 1 star for having a wide selection of variety and 1 star for being nicely decorated. 3/5 read more

From the moment you walk inside and smell the fresh baked goods to the second you bite into one of the delicious treats while sitting in your car in the parking lot because you couldn't wait until you get home. My birthday was yesterday and it's too hot to bake! I asked my husband to get cupcakes of different types for the family to enjoy. I have been seeing good pictures and reviews on the Merced Takeout Restaurants Facebook Group for Mix. I wanted carrot cake cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, which they didn't have yesterday morning, but thoroughly enjoyed the cinnamon roll one my husband got as a substitute. I also had a lemon one with a vanilla buttercream frosting. Really good. Other family had chocolate varieties and liked them. I am not giving 5 stars only because I wasn't the one to go there, but my husband said it was clean, good a roof baked goods, and masks worn! Will get more treats in the future. read more

I visited Mix Bakery for the first time this week and it is the cutest little bakery. I had always been meaning to go and I am glad I finally did! The chocolate chip cookie was soft and they offers to warm it up for me. The strawberry shortcake cupcake was delicious. It actually had flavor and wasn't a sugar bomb. There are so many options of cupcakes and cookies and other little treats to choose from. They also have ready made cakes to purchase in their fridge area. I will definitely be back! I must admit that this bakery was pretty impressive. The cake we purchased was super moist and flavorful. It was decorated like it had been made for a dessert magazine and was really a hit at with guests at the party. All of the sweets and treats in the case looked so appetizing, I had to force myself not to buy additional goodies. Also, other cakes that were preordered were on display and all I can say is the decorators are so talented. If i lived closer and could go often my dentist would not be happy about it lol read more

Our family loves Mix Bakery. Not sure which we love more, the taste of the cake or the appearance/look of the cakes more. They are always moist, never too dense or airy/dry. A perfect cake. I have been ordering cakes since they opened and I have not be disappointed. I can show a picture of what I want and they will make it almost exactly like the picture or other cakes I've ordered needed a few different tweaks which they were able to make. I think I have ordered at least 4 cakes and will continue to. There large cupcakes and brownies are amazing as well as their cookies, always fresh and rich ingredients. I'm a firm believer in, 'it's all about the details' and it's obvious Mix Bakery is as well. They you for all the wonderful desserts and memories with my family. read more

One of the dryest cupcakes I've ever had. My friend and I went in looking for chocolate eclairs and the girl said 'on no, go Jantz bakery. We don't make those'. We thought well we're here let's give it a go. We ordered carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.I They tasted like three day old spice cake with lard and sugar on top. Very disappointed. read more

Sooooo good!!!! First time going. Initially, I was just out supporting local crisis agency for Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). Mix bakery donated a portion of the proceeds for the sales that day to the agency. I took advantage of their 5 cupcakes for $20 deal for dessert after dinner and it was worth it. Unique and delish! I'm a stickler for great customer service and they were awesome! They have this "small town, we all family feel". I will definitely visit again. read more

I set the sugar level to light, yet it reached a level of sweetness that was so intense that I had to get it redone. Even with an ever lighter level of sweetness, it still tasted excessively sweet. Overall, an interesting experience. If this is the best that Merced has to offer, I feel kind of bad for everyone in Merced for not having access to better drinks. Not sure if I'd get the chance to return as I don't normally go to Merced, but on the off-chance I end up in this area again I'd hope that maybe one of their other drinks was better.

Nam Khao (crispy rice lettuce wrap with pork skin) - I highly enjoyed this one with all the crunchy textures and flavors. Will 100% get again. Khao Poon (noodle soup) - This broth had a subtle peanut flavor which was delicious. Wished it had more toppings. Nam Vanh (tapioca drink) - My drink seemed to lack the other jellies that I saw in other pictures and only had the lil tapioca balls, sweetener and coconut milk. It felt like it was missing something for sure. The owner is so nice and friendly. I don't know if it's a psychological thing, but every time he acknowledged or spoke to me, he used my name. Mix Bakery is a great local bakery. They're really known for their cupcakes and cakes, and both are fantastic. They always have a good variety of cupcakes, and their cakes are consistently delicious. One thing I love is that they often have a "slice of the day," which makes it really hard to walk out without grabbing something. Even though they're known for their cakes and cupcakes, their cookies are incredible too. My family has used Mix Bakery for birthdays, anniversaries, our wedding, and other celebrations over the years, and they've never let us down. Everything has always turned out great. The place honestly reminds me of the old-school bakeries I grew up with in Brooklyn. The kind of place where you walk in and you know you're going to get good desserts and friendly service. The staff is always really welcoming and helpful, and you can tell they care about their customers. They're also very connected to the community and often donate goods or support local events, which I always appreciate. If you're looking for great cupcakes, cakes, or just a good dessert, Mix Bakery is definitely worth checking out. read more

This bakery is DANGEROUS! I have yet to try something I haven't enjoyed. I'm not gluten intolerant but even the gluten free options are delicious, the peanut butter crisps being a personal favorite. The jumbo cupcakes are always a huge hit in our household and with the buy 5 get 1 free deal on them, they're always a go to for every potlluck/get togethers of any kind. I highly recommend German Chocolate or any one of the strawberry options, there's typically 2-3 made available. Even if the deserts don't entice you, it's still worth the trip just to experience the atmosphere and take a peek at the custom cakes. The decorators are truly gifted and the staff is friendly. Needed a Birthday cake same day! New to Merced and just happen to get a google hit on a bakery right down the street! The Mix called very friendly lady answered the phone. Told her what I needed she said sorry we don't do same day orders but we have a large selection of cakes available. So I went down to see what I could find off the rack. Truthfully I was a little shocked at the prices. But I found one and also got a few cup cakes. Never paid that much for a cake before honestly. But I tell you what Hands down the best cake I have ever eaten from a bakery or store Ever! Was worth every penny spent! Delicious even three days later! I had higher expectations based on the reviews, but the staff interactions left a lot to be desired. As for the cupcakes, they were just average. They looked great, but the flavor didn't stand out and wasn't anything special for the price. Overall, the experience didn't meet my expectations.
