I've gone here a number of times for dinner and the place is always busy! I have taken to calling my order in a head of time...just makes it easier. The staff is really nice and they have some great weekly mac dishes that they come up with. They have an extensive menu so there is something for everyone. Wow! A unique and tasty place. Casual dining area with counter service. Essentially you can order delicious choices to your custom made Mac. We got the kids a standard cheese style, with terrific bacon stirred into it. They loved it. The adults got a really spicy and flavorful Mexican style. We also had a lighter shrimp scampi dish. I was really looking forward to trying this place out. Every time I found myself showing up when they were about to close, or on a day they were closed all together. I FINALLY got to try them out for lunch.........I ordered the buffalo chicken mac. The wait seemed long, almost 25 minutes for my one order of mac and cheese. Well, I opened up the container and dove in, expecting to have a delicious, creamy experience with a touch of spice from the buffalo chicken. I found myself eating running cheese with bite-sized pieces of what seemed to be processed chicken. Every bite became harder and harder to swallow, until I gave up about 1/2 way through. The reason why I'm going to go ahead and give 3 stars at this point is because I want to try it again...this time though, just get original mac and cheese!!! I have eaten here 3 times. Each time I get excited about the flavors in the dish I order, but I am underwhelmed when the food arrives. The flavors seem to compete, not coalesce. It must be tough to keep just one basic core dish exciting. The owner appears passionate and the portions are decent sized. I guess I want to like it much more than I do and it is tough to put my finger on it exactly. But the closest I can come is that macaroni and cheese is such an amazing comfort food. And after I eat here I don't feel it. The critic in me says that it might be the size of the noodles, they don't seem to hold up to some of the more adventurous flavor profiles they have.
