I don't eat burgers like I used to... I've slowed down. But when I do get a taste for a burger, I already know exactly where I'm pulling up Mixed Up Burgers on Boulevard in Atlanta is THAT spot. Y'all... the food is so damn good. I ordered the Cajun burger loaded up with crawfish -- and when I tell you it was seasoned right and full of flavor, I mean that. Not dry, not bland, not basic. Just good eating. On top of that, I grabbed a buffalo chicken wrap and a chicken quesadilla, and everything hit. Fresh, hot, and made with care. You can tell they actually take pride in what they're serving. This place is definitely worth going to when you want an authentic hamburger and other real options off the menu. It's not one of those watered-down spots it's authentic, full of flavor, and it gives you that "yeah, I'd come back here for more. I found Mix'd Up Burgers on TikTok, and their Cajun burger with crawfish was on my list, along with their Italian fries. As part of my weekly new-place tradition, I finally ordered both. First, about the location: it's a small spot off Boulevard where this isn't a ton of parking space. I went on a Saturday around 2:30, and there wasn't much traffic--though I'm not sure how busy it gets at other times. Now, the fries. Honestly, they were just regular fries with Parmesan... nothing Italian or special about them. The reigning champion for Parmesan fries to me continues to be Urban Trend Cafe. The burger was big but inconsistent. Most of the crawfish tasted plain, and the real flavor only hit at the end, like the seasoning wasn't evenly spread. If the whole burger had tasted like that last bite, it'd have been great. But for $22 with no drink, that was disappointing. Still, that last burst of flavor showed potential. I'm open to trying them again, but I may just try something different next time. Overall, a decent experience, but that's really it. read more

I ordered the patty special and it was actually pretty delicious and well seasoned. They cooked the burger to death but it was good and could be great if they cooked it 2 minutes less. The best part is that they have a drive thru! The only two negatives about this place are the fries-- they're so thin and taste like old oil-- and the fact that everything is a la carte. Otherwise would definitely return! read more

Most recently had a taste for a good burger. Then I remembered years ago going to this establishment. I hadn't forgotten the taste. Got the mixed up burger. Deshavu. Please get the employees IN CHECK HERE. I came thru the drive thru yesterday, sat at the box to order never heard a word. Finally pulled around and the lady (black lady) starts yelling about how she asked what I wanted to order was 6 times. We say we didn't hear a thing. She then starts trying to argue about how she did say it 6x. Clearly her mic was OFF. I just drove off. Why would I wanna order food from a not bright person?? Never had a burger that had so much flavor and meat dripping from it. Our burger had a fat price of beef and juicy pulled pork on top. The bbq sauce make you slap ya mama cause it's so good. Service is amazing. The owner is make your food and making sure it perfectly prepared. We are ousted because they don't allow ppl in this location. The other location has a full bar. What a great place to get your quick fix of burgers/wraps. This is unlike your typical fast food burger chain where you can get fresh cooked food. The big plus for me is the super convenient drive thru. Since everything is cooked to order, there will be a wait. read more

The mix's up burger was a nice size could accurately see the meat. It was bland no seasoning, not really juicy like I like my burgers. It was hot straight from the drive thru, friendly service. The shoestrings were cold but had a nice flavor to them. Glad I tried them but their burgers are not for me but the overall price was acceptable considering prices here. I give them a 2-3 overall. read more

This spot is a hidden gem. Tiny little shop located in East Atlanta, so it's not too much to look at. I went through the drive through. The service was better than expected. I love when small businesses like this treat their customers like actual people. I was in the mood for a juicy chargrilled burger, and some crispy fries and this place did not disappoint! The food was so good I almost hit a curb . Seriously, I almost turned my car around! Can't wait til the next time I'm in the neighborhood. This place is my guilty pleasure. read more

Honestly - I wasn't a fan. I went here for a quick dinner before my meeting and wanted to try it. I do love that there's a drive-thru - I don't love that the only seating at the restaurant is outdoor. I ordered the regular cheeseburger - it was really dry. I wasn't a fan of the Mix'D up sauce bc to me it just tasted like bbq sauce. The Italian fries were good but all I saw was Parmesan and no herbs. I would only go here for convenience of the drive thru but definitely not in the top list of my favorite burgers in Atl. read more

Cool little stop for a quick burger. It's very small and there is minimal seating but they have an awesome drive through and great customer service. It's burgers and fries here. You can find a selection of angus, lamb, and veggie with their twist! I had the lamb burger and Italian fries. The burger was pretty big and I almost couldn't finish it. It was ok. It wasn't dry so I cannot complain. The tasziki was very thick and not tasty. The burger was wrapped a bit sloppy and fries were wrapped within it. The fries are very thin and only Parmesan and no garlic. They were ok and very messy. I don't recommend eating them in your car. Overall an ok place if you, un like me, fancy burgers. My main beef (pun intended) is that everything was delivered very sloppy and it made me very uncomfortable to eat. read more

Mix'D Up is one of my favorite burger spots. I LOVE the garlic-parm fries and the Hero lamb burger. Actually, I love a lot of their burgers. So far we've also tried the Patty Special, Sombrero, and Mix'D up burger. All excellent. Whenever I'm on the eastside (I'm a westside girl) I make sure to go to Mix'D Up. Actually, if I'm being honest, my ass travels a lot from the westside just to go to this burger spot. H&F, Bocado...they're good and all, but they don't have nothing on my new King Kong of Atlanta burgers: Mix'D Up. Also, they're located near Gardenhood nursery, so you can get your landscaping and food goals on, all on this one block. read more

Went during burger week.... great decision to try this spot. While it may look like a hole in the wall but them dang on fries!!!!!! Our burger was good to but the pulled pork fries were absolutely amazing!!!!! Will be back to try more on the menu. No restroom so don't plan on sitting around. Can't even wash your hands. read more

Solid burger, solid fries from a hole-in-the-wall, divey, shack located in an unlikely spot near the corner of Boulevard & Memorial. It's easy to miss. They have a food truck, so this place is more their brick & mortar base of operations, I gather. - Mix'd Up burger: a well above average, standard burger. Not huge but not small. I wasn't asked how I wanted it cooked and it came out medium, which was fine. Very tasty. - Classic fries: thin cut, somewhat limp, well-seasoned fries. You get a lot but towards the bottom they're mostly pieces. Still, very tasty. No fountain drinks, just cans & bottles. Mix'd Up is a really small place with two tall wobbly round tables inside and two picnic benches outside. No umbrellas outside so if it's inclement or just too sunny for your tolerance, use the drive-through. Parking? We don't need no stinking parking! Seriously, unless you're walking here, use the drive-through. Or find the food truck. Recommended. read more

What a fun stop! I had seen this place before and I'm a fan of burger spots. Funny enough, I ordered the black bean, Santa Fe burger, rather and still felt like I was a tough guy eating a greasy hot beef patty. Although, I wasn't, my friend who is a picky eater said it was "pretty good". I take that as a win since his diet consist of chicken, pizza, burgers and mashed potatoes. We ate inside. It's small, but again a nice stop. The rocking loud music made it even more special. I assume the workers choose the jams... the 90s r and b hits was perfect for me! read more

According to Nextdoor for my area, Mixd Up Burger is on the top of everyone's list for best burgers in town. So you know I had to try it. I ordered El Sombrero and my husband went standard with the Mix'd Up Burger. We also ordered the regular fries and the Italian fries. My husband enjoyed his burger and even said he'd go back, which is very surprising because he's a picky eater. I, on the other hand, will not order the sombrero again. I love chorizo but for some reason I just couldn't get with the taste. The fries were great. Just perfect crunch and not too greasy. Overall, I will probably go back and simply just get their Mix'd up burger. So expect this rating to change. Love trying new places and things so I had to come here! I love a good burger so I went with the Cajun burger. If you can't stand the heat, this probably isn't the burger for you. Never had crawfish before so this was definitely interesting in terms of flavor but it was still pretty good. Definitely had a nice little kick to it. I also ordered the classic fries as well( which they gave you a pretty decent portion). I did curbside pickup which was really easy and the staff was nice. I was hesitant to try because I'm super picky but I was craving some funnel cake fries so I decided to try it out ! I would 100% recommend visiting this small burger joint, it's definitely worth your time . The food is great, prices are great , service was okay but everything was so fast that I couldn't focus on anything else !!! Tried this place because my dad and I couldn't figure out what we wanted and I suggested this place because I ride past it pretty often. There is always someone in line so I thought why not? We both ordered Texan burgers with no slaw and OMG! we definitely could've spilt one. It was soooo good. We also ordered the buffalo fries (10/10) and garlic fries but they didn't put the garlic fries in the bag (that's why one star is missing). We also ordered funnel fries and they were hot and good. I got a mango lemonade too (10/10) and my dad got a tea/lemonade mix and he said he enjoyed that too. We will definitely be back for the fries especially!!! Holeman and Finch is known for its burger, and deservedly so, but I can't stress enough how good the other food and drink are here. Looking at the current list of Atlanta restaurants in the Michelin Guide, I think Holeman and Finch deserves to be included. I wonder why they got snubbed. Holeman and Finch relocated to Colony Square in Midtown in February 2023. The restaurant validates parking in the Colony Square garage for two hours. We stayed just over two hours and ended up paying $6. I like to enter and exit the garage via Peachtree St NE. There's also an entrance/exit on 14th St NE, next to The Starling hotel. We used to go to the original location in Brookwood/South Buckhead circa 2010 when only 24 burgers were made per night and released at 10pm. Holeman and Finch existed in that location from 2008 to 2020. It was quite the Yelp hot spot: https://www.yelp.com/biz/holeman-and-finch-atlanta-2 This new location at Colony Square is way more spacious and looks great. There's indoor and outdoor (covered and uncovered) seating. The atmosphere is that of a modern, upscale pub. It's nice. Reservations can be booked on OpenTable, so get those dining points. Our server said the brunch menu was served until 4pm. Here's what my wife and I had: Drinks: * H&F Bloody Mary ($14) * Iced Tea - half sweet, half unsweet ($5) Graze: * Naturally Served Oysters ($5 each) - cocktail sauce, mignonette, buttered saltines, horseradish - Lowcountry Cups - Charleston, SC - Dukes of Topsail - Topsail Sound, NC - Dixon Point - New Brunswick, Canada * Deviled Egg Trio ($9) - classic, country ham, and Pickapeppa mayo * Hand Chopped Sirloin Steak Tartare ($20) - capers, horseradish, egg yolk, chips * Simple Lettuces ($15) - citrus vinaigrette, crisp shallots, fromage blanc, pecans Sandwiches: * H+F Cheeseburger ($28) - certified Angus and Hereford beef, onions, Kraft, fries Plates: * Housemade Scottish Gravlax ($18) - toasted brioche, fried Pantelleria capers, lemon dill clabber * Holeman + Finch Vegetable Plate ($32) - "all that is best from our Southern farms" Dessert: * Sticky Toffee Pudding ($14) - vanilla ice cream Everything, down to the sweet tea, was fantastic. The Bloody Mary was strong and so delicious that I gulped it down. All of the dishes were beautifully plated and finished. The oysters were fresh, superb quality, and cleanly shucked. They forgot the crackers, but that's okay. I highly recommend the deviled eggs. They were perhaps the best we've ever had anywhere. If you're unfamiliar with Pickapeppa, it's a sweet and savory Jamaican brown sauce that is used to make the mayo for this dish. There was nothing "simple" about the Simple Lettuces salad. It was pretty much a perfect, tasty, and refreshing salad. As for the H+F Cheeseburger, it's a classic and continues to be one of the best burgers around. Every bite is just so good, and the ketchup and mustard remain distinct. If you've never had the burger before, get it here or at H&F Burger at Ponce City Market. The Truist Park version isn't the same and I've never tried the Mercedes-Benz Stadium version (the old Turner Field version was legit, though). If you like gravlax, wow - the gravlax here is amazing and really well made. The Vegetable Plate was terrific as well. It featured potatoes, okra, beans, succotash, mushrooms, onions, peppers, tomatoes, and more with a fried onion ring on top. It's a great dish to share. The Sticky Toffee Pudding was top-notch - exceptional texture and flavor, and perfectly paired with a scoop of dense vanilla ice cream. Our server was Jonathan R. He was friendly and took great care of us. A manager checked on us too.

The space is pretty tight, and you're going to be close to the tables near you, but we were able to sit comfortably. Our server came over quickly to take our drink orders, and afterward she came back to answer any questions. Most of the food was ready at the same time. We appreciated that it came out as it was ready and wasn't left sitting. And everyone enjoyed the food! The only "complaint" one of my friends had was that she thought there was a little too much sauce in her shrimp and grits dish. She felt that the sauce, while it tasted great, overpowered the dish and she would've liked to taste more of the grits flavor. All in all, I'd say we'll likely be back to try something else on the menu.

This was kind of irritating and my daughter had already peeped this as we were standing in line waiting for our sandwiches with our sides on a tray getting cooler and cooler. The line was long and this will likely be the case a lot of the time so this doesn't work well. My daughter had a special order of beef taquitos that had to come out later so you know her sides were cold. When she requested new sides or to warm them up she was met with an attitude by one of the workers so that didn't go over well. This was weird to us because the food shoud be warm at the very least, so customer service was lacking there but they did honor her request. If they are going to keep this cafeteria line style setup, we all thought the meats and entrees should be first and then sides so as to avoid having lukewarm or cold sides because all four of us had cold sides by the time we sat down after getting get our drinks and sauces and stuff. And sides should come out together with the special orders so the food is not cold. But hey, I know I'm not Lewis, but yall got my two cents anyway Overall, we had delicious food in a nice, clean establishment. And on the plus side, the Beltline is literally a few steps away!
