Though they are a little more expensive than my previous pet pharmacy, their reliability and response to our needs makes them worth it. I have to give my dog 1.5 pills every 12 hours. Unlike our previous pharmacy, they give us tablets that are easy to cut and don't shatter when you cut them. Since it is such a small dose of a highly controlled medication for a small animal, and it needs to be as accurate as we can make it - pills that dont shatter are so important! read more

Who is the operations manager here? I really want to give you guys 5 stars. You have a great product, and good people work here and I really want to change this review to a 5 stars review but the operations here needs a full overhaul. I don't know the black hole that the medication ends up in once it's been compounded, and leaves the hands of the person making it, to once it's delivered to the customers, but the U-Line shelves with alphabetized bins ain't cutting it. The amount of times I've walked in here and witnessed myself and other customers get met with confusion and the medication is nowhere to be found with the staff frantically turning the place upside down looking for it is bananas! Not only that but the turnaround a lot of the times as well. You get something prescribed but by the time you even get it in your hands it's a week later. This may be great for animals on recurrent medication but for urgent medications, we've called multiple times, they said they can have it ready, but by the time we actually get it, with all the delays it's a week later. I understand wanting to take the business but please just be forward about stock or also overhaul your inventory tracking. Please, please, please fix these issues or hire the right person as floor manager or operations manager! read more

When in Los Angeles, it's so convenient to drive to the lab and pick it up and they make it just as convenient when in Miami they ship it all the way from one close to the other less than 48 hours the ice packs are still frozen They labeled the box perfectly so that UPS did not hold onto package longer. I seriously don't know what I would do without Mixlab! I've been using Mixlab for five years now and I've never had an issue with them ever so I'm honestly baffled at a lot of the one star reviews and not to discount people's experiences but I get three different medications from them very consistently for my 14-year-old 3 1/2 pound Yorkie so I just find it very odd That these people are reviewing them so low and when reviewing them low because they're not getting things quickly that also comes down to planning like if you know your dog's medication is gonna be low. Don't wait for two days before to get a refill like I usually plan one week to two weeks ahead because delays can always happen not even happens with human medication so I don't know why people are acting so entitled this is a very rare niche company and I think people need to be more grateful that they exist and make their life easier. read more

Just your attempt below to make it look better than it was, which was another potentially dangerous situation due to your pharmacists who aren't patient enough to listen. Pay very close attention to the 1 and 2 star reviews from people who are not dazzled by the free dog toy. This place prides itself on customer service and being a premium pharmacy because they give you a dog toy work your prescription. I'd rather skip the dog toy because most of us have a bin of dog toys already at home and would favor pharmacists who actually listen. Also for what they charge, you can find more cost efficient places and buy 10 dog toys yourself with the savings. Last year my dog almost died because of their lack of listening skills and I regret not writing a review to warn others then. Recently my vet called in prescription and I told them how their lack of listening skills was the reason my dog ended up in the ER and thankfully after a $1,000+ bill I got to bring her home. My vet encouraged me to give them another chance, so I called just now and spoke to the pharmacist Anna (I believe). She answered rushed and anxious, cut me off 5 times during our 7 minute call, answered questions not how she "heard" the complete question (because she didn't let me finish asking it), but rather how she "assumes" the question might end, cutting me off mid question. I'll skip the dog toy and find a pharmacist who listens and understands that the wrong pet medication can be life threatening and proper professional two way communication is the best form of customer service and medicinal safety. Using this service has been an absolute nightmare. My old compounding pharmacy stopped doing vet prescriptions and this was the service that I was connected to when I called for a refill. From my vet's approval not going into the system, to the incorrect format for the drug being sent, to them finally getting the correct medication created it has been one frustrating mistake after another. I was finally supposed to receive the meds today, but the link says it has been picked up by the courier but there is not eta for the delivery. First and last time trying to use MixLab services. Sent a prescription request 11/25. Had to call my vet and MixLab a few times to get the "paperwork" finalized. Was told on 12/2 they were in process and I should receive message soon to confirm and pay. First time orders get expedited shipping. I explained we are in need of this prescription by 12/10. Estimated delivery was 12/8. Today is 12/8 and I had to call again only to be told there is a delay and it hasn't been prepared. I was told if it was completed, I could drive the 1 hour to pick it up instead. No guarantees. I cancelled the order. I see the refund pending. My vet is helping me to connect with BlendRX IN BURBANK bc I am now in a time crunch and need these meds for our dog. They offer same day delivery. Very disappointed. Will never use again. My dog had a serious infection and needed medicine immediately. Our Vet told us to use use MixLab so we could get the medicine the next day. Well, I was texted a pick up time for the next day, BUT they cancelled by text 2 hours before pick-up, stating they would have have it the NEXT day. The next day came -- and no word. I called and texted multiple times without any response, until they finally responded to my last text in the evening with "We are Closed for the Day." The next day I called and texted multiple times again. Finally got someone on the phone. They would check and call back. And they did call back, only to tell me that they would NOT have the medicine that day either. My poor dog was in distress the entire time. Shameful. Not happy with them due to the time it takes to fill it, even though it's on auto refill, and the price went up, and it was already overpriced as it is. However, when you call, their customer service is great. I just wish I had more options. The liquid always leaks out of the top where the syringe goes in, and it never lasts as long as it is supposed to. I am a nervous wreck every month wondering if I will run out before it arrives!! I even started ordering it earlier and it still takes way too long to get where I am scared I will run out before getting it. Lastly, they don't put clear tape over the label, so if you don't do that yourself, within a week, you won't even be able to read the label. My dog could die if he runs out of this medication, since it is to regulate his heart beat. There is another lab in AZ called Wedgeworth that I am thinking of giving a try. read more

We've been using Mixlab for years, and something has definitely changed for the worse. As you can see by the other recent one star reviews, we're not alone. Every time we text or call in a refill request, they send a payment link, then, after the payment is processed they send a text informing us that this medication is out of stock. I would expect them to say the medication is out of stock before I pay, especially when it's needed urgently. Their delivery estimates are also terrible. They give an initial estimate, then when that date is missed and we call to get an update they provide a new estimate which also gets missed. This is extremely frustrating when I depend on them to get my pet's necessary medication in a timely manner. Their service is too unreliable and I'll be switching pharmacies. To put the cherry on top, as other people have mentioned, the tops on their liquid medications leak. read more

I loved their cute, friendly packaging - but their prices are really high and I've had increasing issues with delivery. As much as my cats love the cute toys they send, I'll need to look elsewhere for more secure delivery and better prices. They use a few shipping and delivery companies like Deliver-It and OnTrac that are downright atrocious (I never got my med that time) and that causes stress. I've been told that the safest thing to do is pick up the meds at their business, but not everyone has a car or can get around town easily. Moreover, they seem to be changing their story on delivery issues. I had spoken to Mixlab several times about needing signature required delivery on my orders, and had received verbal and written confirmation of this. I've paid $15 for courier delivery for this reason, to make sure the meds get to me safely without being misdelivered or dumped somewhere. However, when they sent out my latest order it again was not signature confirmed. When I called Mixlab they said that it was never their policy to have signature confirmation for any meds that were not controlled substances. When their supervisor called me back she doubled down on this and even claimed "signature delivery was never discussed with you." Nope, sorry, I save my texts, give someone else that lie. I told the supervisor that if they are not doing signature required deliveries anymore, they should just tell people so they don't fork over $15 for couriers that will do nothing to keep the meds safe. Nor should they be so cavalier about this issue. Maybe the people who work at Mixlab have enough money to replace things that get misdelivered or stolen but the rest of us don't. I got more or less a "whatever" from their management on this feedback, so yeah, they apparently are not at all concerned about making sure your meds get to you safely or telling you the truth about what you pay for. read more

However the delivery of the RX was left at the end of my driveway for the last two deliveries and the label with my name and address clearly reads to Leave on Front Doorstep. Do not use this company - They claim to prioritize your pet's health but the only thing they prioritize is $$. My pet's meds were delivered to the wrong address. These were desperately needed and I had to figure out how to get the meds delivered ASAP. Once I paid for my own courier and got the new meds delivered it was missing the special container needed to administer the meds and they once again told me I need to wait another day. For the type of service they provide, their customer service and support is non-existent. A business like this should be prepared for situations like this especially when they made the error, but all they did was put me off and when I tried calling I received a message saying they were closed although the website says they should be open for at least another hour. They are a pharmacy, they need to honor the hours posted. In the end, the package was not delivered like they promised and no one was there to help me and my sick cat had to wait another day. If you have a month to wait for your pet's medication, this is the pharmacy to visit! Mixlab used to offer fast, reliable service. But sadly this is no longer the case. I had an active prescription with plenty of refills. Mixlab falsely claimed there were no refills left and demanded that I submit a request for a new prescription via their website. This took a week to process and would have been longer if I didn't continually pester them. I've paid for my order and four days have passed with no updates. But they were nice enough to let me know -- after I paid -- to expect a five day delay once the shipper receives the package. (Pulls used to arrive in a day or two.) At this point, I'm wondering if I will ever receive my pet's medication. read more

Update: the response from Frederick is an outright lie!!!!!!! When I was placing the order, they told me they CAN overnight it. Then after my order was delayed, they told me they DO NOT offer overnight shipping!!!! They need to get organized because that third party service they use to process your text messages and phone calls has no idea what they're talking about half the time and will tell you incorrect information If you have a pet with a serious infection and need a prescription asap, don't use mixlabs! I've been using Mixlab for several years now and their service has dramatically declined to the point where I am completely ending my relationship with them permanently. They constantly give false information about R/x pickup dates/times. They have filled incorrect quantities and dosages. Their delivery service "deliver-it" is absolutely awful! Deliver-it has abandoned my prescriptions outside my building on the sidewalk on multiple occasions. I brought this issue up with Mixlab management and they even acknowledged that they're aware of the problem and have brought it up with upper-management, but nothing has been done to resolve the matter. This last time I needed a prescription urgently while out of town, they told me that once ready, they could overnight the medication. I called two days later to get a status update and they informed me that the prescription will be ready by end of day or tomorrow morning. I called the next day to get an update and they told me that the prescription would not be ready for a few more days and that once filled, it would take a few more days to ship it because they do not offer overnight delivery. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told that there was no supervisor available. Luckily, I found a local compounding pharmacy and avoided missing a dose. Then, mixlabs has the nerve to send me an email which I've attached in this review. I hate this place so much! You have no idea the hell they've put me through. They screwed up order quantities simply because they DID NOT READ the email for the refill. They sent me a bill to pay with the wrong quantities! I had to correct them and this led to delays which was a problem. Staff told me they don't read instructions about the orders. That led to errors in their records and billing. The next time I requested a refill, THE SAME ERRORS happened again! It turns out that a REFILL to be delivered in the local area needs MORE THAN TWO WEEKS' NOTICE to allow time to correct their mistakes. My Mixlabs is in NYC. I'm sent a text telling me my dog's meds are ready to renew each month and so far everything has run smoothly. I text my questions and I usually receive a reply within an hour or two depending of what time they're sent. Had a problem with delivery in the beginning, but Mixlab's was on top of everything and delivery has been great. Did go in the City once to pick up meds and they were very helpful and nice.
