Great sushi rolls and food. Service was abit slow but the food and environment made up for this spot. Some how I lost the roll pics but this place is good.

I'm so glad I came back and dined in this time. Service was one of the best I've ever had. Our server Kevin was incredibly kind to us. The menu is pretty big and everything we ordered was a 10/10! The sashimi we had was a huge cut of fish. The specialty rolls they had were my favorite and usually I'm not a fan of them because they are too over powering with the sauce. They load up the rolls with a lot of fish so you get a good balance of everything. The tempura was fried to perfection and super crispy! I am totally coming back here to try other things on the menu! Restaurant fills up on a friday night. Would recommend to all for a reservation if you have a big group but if it's just 1-2 people, they have a bar seating option available!

Service: 9/10. Chef comes to confirm your order and wait staff comes around regularly, even when it's busy, to check in. The sushi does take awhile to come out (our omakase platters took 25+ minutes) but I like the ambiance and it was really busy when we arrived The sushi: 9/10. Some of the freshest cuts I've had in all of Seattle and I've been to a bunch! Some really unique items too. We only did sushi and nigiri, I'm excited to come back and try the rolls which looked amazing. Presentation overall is awesome. Great veg options as well! Portions are excellently sized. I live in Ballard but I have family down south, which means I get many excuses to eat here!

My husband and I love coming to Tori's Bar & Grill the sushi never disappoints! This was a return visit, and once again everything hit. The service is always great, and although the restaurant can get pretty busy, we were lucky this time and were seated quickly. The atmosphere is always good, and the quality of the sushi is consistent every visit. The uni is a standout super fresh and melts in your mouth. Just thinking about it makes me want to come back again. Highly recommend if you're in the Burien area and craving good sushi.

Ordered takeout via phone. Order was ready after 15 mins. I got the lion king and hamachi sashimi. Both were delicious! Fresh tasting and satisfied the cravings. I love that the hamachi came with beet salad! The sear on lion king was chef's kiss.

Rendezvous des amore. So good and such generous cuts!

Really enjoyed our dinner here! Came with a party of 4 on a busy Friday night. The server Kevin was really kind and attentive. He made our visit really great! We ordered the Rendezvous des amoure, a tempura udon, a few hand-rolls, smoked out and the fatty roller. It was more than enough food to share. Was shocked by how generous the pieces of fish were and all tasted really delicious and fresh. The presentation was beautiful and the food came out quickly, even for being so busy! Our waters were often refilled and hot sake was pouring. Had a wonderful girls night. Kevin even introduced us to other employees as they were closing up, this is such a sweet family establishment. Excited to return and bring others to experience it. The hi-chews at the end were perfect. Had a lovely time here. Definitely recommend trying it out! Such a hidden gem in DT Burien.

The omakase

This is my favorite neighborhood sushi place. The flavors always hit and the service is good. They have renovated the place a bit which has increased the look inside. They are quite busy but they are worth the wait. They unfortunately only have the omakase special three times a day so once they are gone they are gone for the day. You have to go in early to get that spot.

My husband and I recently came here for a sushi lunch date on a Saturday. The restaurant was cozy and we were immediately welcomed in by a very friendly guy who took us to our booth. He served us water with lemon in it, and it was really refreshing. We ordered appetizers some drinks and an amazing sushi platter with a few extra rolls on the side. The food was amazing, the best sushi I had in a long time....and we go to a lot of sushi places! Between the awesome service, delicious food, and cozy atmosphere, this will be a new go to for us!!!

Took my brother to Sushi and he loved it!! We will return for sure :)

Tori Sake Grill is the bomb!! You need to try it. Best Sushi I had eaten. I have taken 3 people there because I rave about it so much. Kevin is a great guy. Very cool to chat with as he serves us. And the music they put on is fire. Very fun atmosphere to eat yummy sushi. 202 Southwest 153rd St Burien, WA 98166

Wow! What a place--all the stars for Tori Sushi. The minute you step inside you are greeted by the friendliest staff ever. We were served top notch by Jeanette--FABULOUS!!! They take such pleasant and attentive care of you, your order and anything you might need. We had the sea salt edamame to start with some hot sake. The attention to detail is amazing--they even placed a napkin holder tightly around the hot sake so it's easy to handle. We then had TNT and Hamachi Hooray--both fantastic. And then we added hamachi nigiri and tuna nigiri. Yummy! Needless to say we will be back before our trip to Seattle is over.

There was a bit of a wait, but well worth it. Super fresh and affordable. Unique rolls that were delicious

Call and reserve their omakase! It's limited to 3 a day and it's soooo worth it. It's hugeeee and only $50. The owners super nice and very welcoming each time I come as well! My husband and I got too much food the last time even about each was sooo unique and beautifully presented. Will be coming back whenever I crave sushi.

Black Widow & Hamachi Hooray rolls

Wr had an amazing dinner last night at Tori Sake & Grill! It was a our first time being there and greatly enjoyed everything we had. We started with $5 Asahi which seriously cannot be beat! (Except by the $5 Kirin and $10 Orion tall boys also offered). Then we enjoyed a round of gyoza, which was also a steal at 8pcs for $6. Yes please. Finally we had to choose from their massive maki roll list. I mean, c'mon. That list is insane. Everything sounded good. Somehow we chose 3 rolls and an Oyakodon bowl for mains. My Black Widow roll was crazy delicious. The beet flakes are such a fun addition and so unique. My brother's Oyakodon was super peppery and we all stole a bite. He took half home and enjoyed it as breakfast this morning. Our server may have been the owner. Unsure, but she was on top of everything and greatest everyone like an old friend. So the ambiance was very welcoming. We fed four people for $100. You just can't do that anymore and I am so happy to have found this spot. We'll be back soon!

Started off strong with the uni shot, which was really good, and the sashimi fresh, clean, and exactly what you want from a sushi spot. We also ordered the mushroom and pumpkin salad with spinach, which tasted great, but at $20, it felt a bit overpriced for what it was. The rolls, unfortunately, didn't live up to how they looked. Presentation was definitely there, but the flavor just didn't hit. On top of that, they were falling apart pretty easily when picked up with chopsticks, which made them a little frustrating to eat. Service was solid overall staff was attentive despite how busy it was but they did miss our hamachi kama, which was a bit of a letdown. A couple things to note: this place is cash only, and it gets very busy, so expect a bit of a wait. That said, the vibe is nice, and the design of the space is something I actually liked. Would I come back? Probably for sashimi and appetizers but I might skip the rolls next time.

However, expect slow or inconsistent service and just an okay environment. //CONTEXT// Came here on a Friday evening as a party of two. Found a seat immediately //ENVIRONMENT// Honestly the environment felt a bit sad. There was no music, it was super quiet and just not a typical restaurant environment. Even when I ordered I went up and had to write down my order on their receipt lol. //SERVICE// The service was really slow. I understand that rolls take a while to make and they have a lot of takeout orders but I would hope they'd improve based on what they're seeing. Here are some examples: - When we got there, there was another couple who already ordered and was waiting for their food. Three other parties came in and we all got their food before them. This couple never got their food, had to check and then waited more and then just left. We were there for 45 mins before we got there so they were waiting even longer. - Another party got their food before we did and we ordered before them. Also it was interesting in that this person got their order placed with the owner but we had to write our order down - As mentioned it took us about 45 minutes for 3 rolls. I thought this was kind of long. //FOOD// Food was amazing! If you can get past the wait the rolls are so good! They're fresh, tasty and not too large or too small! I got the Akron, Newport, and the Juneau! These were all so good! The tempura and fried soft shell crab was perfectly crispy and not soggy at all. The fish tasted so fresh! The Newport did lack a bit of ponzu. Aside from that these were great rolls Overall, the rolls were good but the service and wait does make me hesitant to come back.

The place is very small which makes sense since he only serve 1 group at a time. This might be my personal opinion but Because it's only one group, I hoped it would have been a little more interactive, like the chef could have explained his technique and skills while we were waiting or at least let us see what he was doing. We sat at the bar table but it was blocked by a counter so we couldn't see anything and he didn't talk and we had to wait around 15 minutes for our first dish. Foodwise: 10 piece nigiri --- love the different fishes that was available and all of them has their own distinct texture and flavor. My husband who loves nigiri said it was a fun experience. Scallop inari - scallop was cream and soft and smooth, I think the sweetness was a little overpowering though. Seabass crudo --- for how little there was of the fish itself, there was a lot of olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette. After finishing the fish, I was hoping to have some bread to eat more of the oil. Special maguro don--- I love this dish - the fish melts in your mouth, the rice went well with the fish and the wasabi was delicious. Price was also very reasonable for the quality of fish. Overall, it was a good experience, I definitely would recommend

We like to try places in the Renton area because it's the halfway point between our homes. This week we went to Mori Sushi in the Renton Landing. He ordered a specialty roll, a Hot Dream, which he really enjoyed. I was concerned that there would not be enough food for him but it was the perfect amount. Service was great at first, though they didnt check in if we wanted to order more (we had gotten a few small plates to start but when we wanted more we couldnt find anyone and no one checked in). But towards closing they were pretty pushy about us finishing up and leaving (and verbally told us so) which I'm not used to experiencing (we weren't the only ones that were there late and hadnt been there too long).. and I'm not usually at restaurants til close (this was just a long overdue catchup) so it was kind of irritating that they were so pushy about it. We had gotten off work late and made plans but couldn't find many places open late, so we had to make do with the times available (everything pretty much closed by 830 or 9p), so it was a really rushed dinner and felt like that when they rushed us midway to hurry up. Otherwise, other than some rolls seeming a tad expensive, they were pretty good. Some were better than others, we tried about four of them. The fave dish though was the ika geso (fried squid) appetizer, the sauce was bomb. Would come back.
