two menus on a wooden table

Came here for a late dinner (9pm, restaurant closes at 10pm on a Saturday). I was seated pretty quickly as it was fairly empty and service was quick. I got the Hibachi Chicken, which came with house salad and miso soup, as well as a Philadelphia Roll. The house salad and soup were pretty good- the soup had a nice umami flavor to it and the salad was basic, but fresh and paired will with the sweet dressing. The Philadelphia roll tasted about as good as it looked- nothing special, didn't feel like it was fresh and would not get again. The Hibachi Chicken was ok- the noodles had some good chewiness to them, but the chicken and shrimp were slightly tough. The veggies were also cold... Overall, 3/5, ok food and ok service.

For a Friday early evening, it was a ghost town in here. Standard hibachi experience. I felt the serving size was not as big as I've had before at similar restaurants. The sushi roll was pretty good but nothing to write home about. Great experience overall. The chef was nice and inviting. Can't say the same about the rest of the stafff

Overall dining experience was disappointing at best. The sushi was poorly made, service by our waiter was inconsistent and dismissive. I ordered a classic spicy tuna roll that came out with large areas of rice missing on the roll and the spicy tuna was not spicy, rather bland and old. The udong presentation was appealing but the broth was too plain with little to no flavor. If you're looking to satisfy a quick craving, this place will do. If you're taking friends or family out to a nice Japanese restaurant, go elsewhere.

My favorite sushi place in Newport. Food is fresh, great ambiance, and the waitress were very attentive. Price was also reasonable!

I visited Mori Sushi last week, and was shocked I had not heard of them sooner. We ordered several rolls: the Volcano Roll, the Mori Roll, the Crunch Roll, the Dynamite Roll, the Hawaii Roll, and the Godzilla roll. I loved each and every roll, but the stand out's were the Godzilla roll and the Volcano roll. Both very unique and must-gets. All of the fish we had was so fresh and I was super impressed. The prices are on the higher side, but reasonable for what you are getting. The actual restaurant is in a small plaza next to a grocery store. The inside is nice, nothing super special, but it doesnt need to be with sushi like that! I will be visiting again, soon!

Tucked away in the Pier Marketplace, this intimate sushi spot delivers an experience that rivals some of the best sushi restaurants I've ever visited. The fish was incredibly fresh, every bite was packed with flavor, and you can tell that a tremendous amount of care goes into every dish. The presentation was beautiful without feeling overdone, letting the quality of the ingredients speak for itself. What really sets Tsunama apart is the atmosphere. It's small, cozy, and inviting--the perfect place to relax with friends or bring someone special for a date night. The vibe is laid-back yet refined, creating an experience that feels both comfortable and memorable. The service was flawless from start to finish. Attentive, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. If you're looking for outstanding sushi in Rhode Island, Tsunama is a must-visit. Fresh, authentic, beautifully presented, and served in an intimate setting that makes every meal feel special. Without question, one of the best sushi experiences I've had, and a true local treasure hidden in the Pier Marketplace.

It's located in a plaza so parkings are readily available. When we got there it was early just when the restaurant opened so it was empty. Inside is small with some seatings and tables with bar area. Once we sat down we took a look at the menu and placed our order We got tsunama crisp and divers scallop appetizer to start. They were both good but tsunama crisp was our favorite. Scallops were good but pairings sauce and salad in the middle was ok. Garlic noodle was okay as well. Bit strong on the soy sauce but needed a bit more depth of flavor or sweetness. Sushi was good. I personally liked the eel roll. Service was good and waitress was attentive. Overall it's a solid asian restaurant offering decent sushi and asian food in the area. However it's not unique since they don't offer m anything that is significantly different from other asian restaurants. Since it's a bit far from where i'm located not sure if i'll return unless I'm already in the area.

Tucked away in the Corrigan Financial complex just off Aquidneck you will find this awesome sushi/ramen factory! The service is definitely on point and very attentive to your needs. Quickly sat on a Saturday afternoon and took a look over the specials menu and just had to try the Sushi Pizza. Interesting concept and very filling, hot starter for more than just yourself for sure. The sushi rice is fried to create the base and then the toppings with protein selection is applied. I tried it with spicy salmon and it was good, little light with protein, but flavorful. For my main I went with spicy miso ramen which comes with three tempura shrimp as well. It was a hefty meal for one and needless to say I brought home my future meal as I could not make it through everything. The broth had a light to medium spice level and hit the ramen spot. There is a good selection of beer, wine and cocktails as well, I opted for some green tea which was hot and warmed me up perfectly. The vibe is relaxing and casual to easily enjoy group conversations if you have company with you. There is bar seating along with general seating booths or tables throughout the restaurant. If you haven't tried this tucked away gem, worth hitting up and tackling the menu for another awesome sushi/ramen shop on the island!

The broth was dark in color and it had a good kick to it, but not a lingering or "make you cough spicy". The noodles were made fresh and the boiled eggs were fantastic. The bill game with two hard candies and cost around $50. Good value, good food, and good service.

Thankfully, another staff member, Bella, stepped in and was kind and attentive, along with our server, which helped turn the experience around. Food-wise, everything tasted great. The Newporter platter was enjoyable (though oysters were a bit small), the blackened salmon was well-cooked, and the lobster roll was a standout--crispy, fresh, and easily a top 3 for me. Very disappointed in the experience but the decor was really nice and I've been wanting to try this place out since my friends had a galentines day event here after our spa day but I had to go home so I didn't make it to the restaurant until today. Food was okay, the calamari taste like fish sticks and my husband and kids like fish sticks but I don't so I didn't eat that. My philly roll was okay but my husband and kids all loved their rolls so it's always nice when your kids are satisfied with the food. I'm on the fence as to whether or not I'd give this place another chance because it is 5 minutes away from my house but the service and overall experience was mid. The orange chicken was good nothing special so I was happy about that. I will add that the lychee sangria was probably my favorite part of this whole meal so if you want good drinks, this is your place! If you try this place out, I hope that you have a better experience than we did. It's probably the worst experience we've had in town.
