Always love bringing friends to this hidden gem. The customer service is fantastic from start to finish in this small yet cozy location. I always order the pork gyoza and chicken tempura roll (with no avocado). This is the only place I've found that does two chicken pieces for one roll!

I ordered for pickup because I was in the neighborhood. I don't know if it's cause I was starving after a long work shift or what but the miso was fantastic and so was the spring rolls. I think the ratio for the sweet sauce compared to the spring rolls is just outrageous. It's not enough! I also ordered the beef noodles which I forgot to take a picture of. The beef noodles were very good. I enjoyed it very much. I will definitely be visiting again to experience dining in

Well the epidemic is reeking havoc with eating in restaurants so I'm on the take-out run! Our latest is Mizu Sushi which is located just a stones throw from our home in the Mohawk Plaza so hopefully food will be warm when we eat. I just hate to reheat food as it then becomes leftovers! Yuck... DH called a head with our order and they said it would be about 15 minutes! He ordered #92 Hibachi Chicken served with rice, vegetables and a choice of Miso soup or salad $15.95 and I ordered #117 Chicken Teriyaki served with rice choice of Miso soup or salad $15.50. We both chose salads with a kind of orange dressing in side containers on iceberg lettuce. The dressing was tasty but iceberg wasn't a favorite of mine. The mixed vegetables on both dishes included a large quantity of the same sautéed zucchini, onions, mushrooms, broccoli, carrots and both very tasty. The Teriyaki chicken was pan fried covered lightly with a sauce and sesame seeds sprinkled on top. The Hibachi chicken was lightly breaded and fried with sesame seeds sprinkled also. Both were accompanied with white rice and a horseradish sauce was included in the order in which I did not realize that it was. I put a large amount on my rice and it sure was extremely hot! Next time I will truly try the containers first! As you can see in photo an orange was peeled and added to the dish as a garnish or dessert a delicious ending to two great meals... The most important part to this story is that the food came hot... This is the biggest issue I have with take-out food. Our meals were hot when DH picked them up and warm when we ate them. Will definitely return to Mizu again!

Having traveled to Japan extensively on business, I can accurately say that this restaurant gets it right. Very well appointed in authentic Japanese style, everything here is what should be expected. People make it great and I'm actually back for a 2nd dinner in a row because it is that good

What a find! We had tickets to a show at Proctors earlier this week and found Mizu here on Yelp. It's definitely off the beaten path at the far, back end of a strip mall (off Central Ave...near Balltown Road). It was even harder to find when we arrived because there was an 18-wheeler making a delivery (and blocking the entrance). We were early-ish...got there at around 5:30 and were the only seated guests for a while. But, the phone was ringing constantly and people kept popping in for pick up orders. There are only 7 tables plus a few seats at the sushi bar...the place is itty bitty. The food was delicious, the sushi was fresh and the service was really friendly. We were brought complimentary mini spring rolls while we waited for our sushi to be prepared. I even liked the green tea - which was refilled several times due to the aforementioned terrific service. Highly recommend and I'd definitely go back when in the neighborhood.

The food was fresh and delicious. The miso soup was very flavorful. The sushi was nice and cold. They gave us complimentary veggie spring rolls. We also recommend the fried scallops, but get a side of plum sauce with them, the brown sauce didn't really go. They have a weekend special, if you buy a chief special roll you get a free regular roll.

    Yummy (complimentary) veggie spring rolls!!!

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. And the food was Excellent! I had the miso soup and it was as flavorful as reported! I also ordered 2 sushi rolls that were so fresh and tasty! I got the spicy tuna roll & the shrimp tempura roll. The tools are a great size and they use 2 tempura shrimp in the one roll. The prices are very affordable! I will def be going back! Great find. If you happen to be in Schenectady...I would highly recommend checking this place out! I'm very glad that I did! :-) Ohhh...and did I mention I got a FREE freshly cut orange for "dessert"!!!

the definition of local business, mizu sushi has it all. From chicken sautéed noodles to the infinite variations of sushi, they have a variety of quality foods! this has always been my favorite place to get sushi since i was young so i may be biased but in my opinion they are the most well rounded store. with low prices, consistent quality, and delicious food, this place is highly recommended!

I stopped in for a late lunch, and was able to squeeze into the end of the sushi bar (photo) crowded with other customers. The television was muted and the background music was very low - everyone must be here for the food. The staff was helpful and pleasant as I ordered my usual couple of maki and a bunch of nigiri. I was presented with a couple of spring rolls as an amuse bouche, and a pleasant soup before the main. While waiting, I looked around this small restaurant, hidden away in a tiny strip mall. The decor is not overdone, but unfortunately highlighted with vases of brown-edged, wilting flowers every other place setting. The plating was extremely simple, but just a little different, with no sauce added to the unagi nigiri or maki, and a cream sauce added to the spicy salmon (photo). Both the maki and nigiri were quickly, competently prepared with the only minor presentation error falling upon the tamago breaking apart. Also, as is very common here in the Capital District, no wasabi was added to each nigiri. One surprise: I was expecting the scallop to just be placed atop the sushi rice, but here the chef decided to season and chop up the scallops as a spicy gunkanmaki. I enjoyed the taste, but I sometimes get a little suspicious when extra spices are added. My only low point of the day was the low quality waribashi and the giant splinter that popped off when separating them. I was not injured, and quickly received a replacement. Overall, I was pleased with my experience, and I'm sure I'll return soon. 2019 02 20. S19.

Had a great lunch here. Very large portions and reasonably priced. Sashimi was so fresh it melted in your mouth. Would come back again.

Also really liked the fact the Bubble tea was customizable, I had been craving a good tea I hadn't had accessibility to for sometime. Pricey... eh probably not I ordered alot, surprised it came in a pretty nice bag, got here in good time. Would I order again? Oh I think there are quite a few items I'd like to get again.

I was so excited to try this place! But my experience unfortunately was so sad! Let's start with…read morethe positives. It was clean and cute inside. The duck wrapped in scallion pancakes was the best thing we ordered! Delicious! The second best thing was the Taiwanese popcorn chicken, also very tasty. The edamame were edamame. The spicy dumplings were alright, the filling didn't really have enough flavor to be discernible above the chili oil coating the outside. They were tossed with fresh cucumber which was really nice. Okay, here's the tea on the bad stuff. It was really slow for a weekend night. The service was all over the place. They seem to just all work the room but there is no assigned server to your table so they have no idea what is going on. We were all served waters with our other drinks, but unfortunately one of the water glasses was broken. We gave it back to one of the servers who apologized but never came back with a new glass of water, or the additional drink someone else from our party asked for. Another server couldn't speak English which caused many other issues. We were approached several times to order food from different servers. They tried to take our menus away after ordering appetizers. Many more shenanigans ensued, it was honestly a mess. I ordered the biang biang noodles. I had to ask both servers the same questions about my meal because nobody was talking to each other and I got two completely different answers. I decided to accept the risk and order this dish anyway. I wish I hadn't, it was legitimately awful. The small slices of beef were stone cold and were inedible. There was no meat at all, it was just grizzle. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. It was like trying to chew on rubber. Awful! I pushed all the meat to the side of my dish and tried to eat around it. One of the servers asked me if I wanted a box. I told her that the meat was disgusting and just to pack the few noodles I had left on the plate. She just said "oh sorry." The ramen dish had 2 of the thinest slices of pork loin that I have ever seen! They might as well have been cold cuts. And both of those were mostly fat. They were roasted and served untrimmed. And thats all the meat that came in the Tonkotsu ramen dish, besides the 2 slices of fish cakes. What are we on rations guys?? They are very stingy with the protein here. When a place starts cutting food quality and has no self awareness of service quality you know a restaurant is struggling financially or you have an absentee owner situation. I tried to pay a portion of our meal with a gift card and the server couldn't figure out how to do that so she said that they do not accept gift cards. I paid the bill with my credit card and headed for the door. As we were walking out the door, she ran up to me and said "oh we accept gift card, my manager show me how. You can pay gift card when you come again!" I said okay and walked out the door laughing. Don't worry! We will never be back again!

You will most likely be greeted by two of friendliest proprietors in the area. Welcome to Niji Asian Bistro, a mom and pop sushi shop. 3 appetizers to go - poke mixed, salt & pepper calamari, and sushi sampler. Poke (POH-keh) meaning "to slice or cut" is a Hawaiian dish. It is comprised of cubes of sushi grade fish topped with an Asian-inspired sauce. It is sometimes served with rice. There was definitely tuna, salmon and yellowtail (I think) mixed with Unagi sauce (sugar, soy sauce, and sake). It was served with lots of avocado. If you like sushi or sashimi, I think this will be up your alley. Salt and pepper calamari. Fried calamari wok tossed with green peppers and onions served with some bottled sweet and sour sauce. I could actually taste the salt and pepper on the battered calamari rings. No tentacles in this dish, which, for me, is a bit of a downer. There's something satisfying about crunching into little legs/arms but that's just me. What also stood out was the size of the rings...all average ring size and the cook on them was just right, crunchy outside yet tender inside. You ever go to a place where the calamari rings were gigantic...like the squid did battle with Godzilla in a previous life? No bueno. Sushi sampler - It was a Tuesday...should have paid attention to Anthony Bourdain and waited until Thurs-Sat to get fresh fish. All in all, it's a good place, with warm proprietors, and friendly service. I'm willing to exchange my hard earned money for a meal here.
