Mizu has been steadily improving since my last couple visits. The service is consistently friendly, inviting, and efficient. While we usually prefer the other AYCE sushi restaurant in town, Mizu has gained a lot of popularity with its diverse menu. The sashimi is always fresh and bursting with flavor. The AYCE menu also includes other hot dishes like ramen and fried rice, as well as a variety of desserts such as mochi, ice cream, and crème brûlée. They also have a nice selection of beers, cocktails, unique seltzers and soju. The ambiance of Mizu is casual yet inviting, making it an ideal spot for family meals or gatherings with friends. With its delicious food and welcoming atmosphere, Mizu has firmly secured its place on our top list of sushi restaurants in town!

Finally got to try this restaurant, so glad we did :) Charlie helped us & highly recommend requesting him. He was so nice & helpful :) I had the yellowtail jalapeño sashimi. Yum! And the Thunder roll. Very good :) Had the creme brûlée for dessert. They have the all-you-can-eat option. Great deal! The restaurant was decorated very cute also,

Saw a brutal review...but noticed it was all about service and not food, so we gave it a try. At $36 the AYCE seems expensive....but it includes sashimi sushi...which means no filler rice, just protein. The deal is you 90 min of AYCE, anything on the menu...caveat is if you order and don't eat, you can get charged extra. That has never been an issue for my family. What is nice is that if you want, you can have members of your party eat a la carte at the same table...so if they only want an entree, no problem. Our server was super attentive, very friendly and patient! The restaurant was clean and bright...this was a very inviting space. I started out with 9 orders of sashimi and 4 of nigiri sushi...a la carte I would already have been at over $70...so this was definitely a win...since I had more... The sushi was fresh and well prepared...fun presentations, and everything we had was delicious. The yellowtail was out of the park!!! Dessert, included, was either ice cream or crème brûlée...no decision there (I had 2) We left all full, and thought it was a great experience.

Best All-You-Can-Eat Sushi in Tulsa! It's $36 for the All-You-Can-Eat option and they have everything that you want including Sashimi at that price! I'll definitely be back!

High quality all-you-can-eat sushi and sashimi in Tulsa, there's only one. Mizu is all we need because it's truly exceptional. The all-you-can-eat menu at Mizu is quite inclusive including dessert, salad, soup, appetizers, fried food, entrees, sashimi, and sushi. The highlights of the menu are the yellowtail jalapeño, pepper tuna, sashimi (salmon, yellowtail, white tuna). These were excellent. The sushi rolls were good but they are not as great as Sushi Hana. This is completely expected for an all-you-can-eat restaurant. Mizu is best suited for group of at least 3, preferably 4 people. That way, you could try a little of different plates. The service was great and quicker than one would think for this type of restaurant. I was quite impressed by Mizu on this visit. I would highly recommend Mizu for GROUP all-you-can-eat dining. If you fly solo, then the all-you-can eat menu may not be worth it and the a la carte menu is also no better than other top Japanese restaurants in Tulsa.

We stopped in here on Christmas Eve, and there was no wait! We chose to do Al a cart instead of the AYCE, but I think it would have been more worth it to do the AYCE. We spent almost as much. It's cool vibes inside with projection on the floor! The sushi was very good quality and came out so fast. I definitely want to try other rolls. It was the perfect Christmas Eve dinner. I'll be back for more next time.

Quality food and fresh sushi. They have an extensive menu with soo many options to choose from. I highly recommend this place. It is an all-you-can-eat restaurant, the price is $35.99/person (ages 13 &up) and $15.99 for ages 6-12. We usually go in parties of 6 or more around dinner time on the weekends and the service is always good. They have 1 party room that can seat 12-15 comfortably.

With 2 college sons home, it was a great opportunity to try Mizu's all you can eat. We went on a post-holiday Wednesday lunch, so it was not very busy. "T" was our server and took great care of us. If you choose the AYCE, everything on the menu is available. And there are plenty of choices, from appetizers, to tempura, to sushi rolls, to sashimi, nigiri, cooked foods, and more... including a nice individual blue bell ice cream for dessert. Edamame was presented immediately while we browsed the menu. We focused on sashimi dishes, but the boys did try some crab rangoon, fried calamari, and gyoza. I tried the seaweed and crab (imitation) salads. Their jalapeño yellowtail and black pepper tuna were really good. Our favorite was their salmon carpaccio, cut from the belly. All of these dishes were dressed in a special ponzu type of sauce. The sashimi was okay - presented in 2 piece portions, it's great for trying new things. But feel free to order multiples if you want! We did not order any sushi rolls as we were staying away from rice and some of the mayo and heavy sauces. But many of their rolls sounded really good. Our dishes came out quickly and our server checked on us regularly while also tending to a few other tables. You have 90 minutes, but we had our fill after just over an hour. Given some self-imposed dietary restrictions, I did not try some items such as their tempura offerings and a few rolls that seemed interesting. It's a great deal if you're hungry and want a variety of selections. Service was very good, with drinks refilled regularly and food coming out quickly.

Oklahoma needs more all you can eat sushi restaurants. Mizu is solid for Oklahoma. I think the menu is more extensive than Sake2Me. It didn't take too long for our food to come out. Our waiter was really nice and attentive. The only complaint I have is that the fish on the nigiri was kind of thin. The crème brûlée here is delicious. We got multiple servings. I can't wait to come back!

Good sushi, great service, nice atmosphere, plenty of seating and all you can eat for only $35.99. We were not very hungry so we just ordered 3 rolls to share. Next time I'm going to try the all you can eat. We will be back!

Tonight saw me flying solo for dinner, so I took the opportunity to visit Mizu, and I'm so very glad I did. There's a lot of hubbub about the all you can eat, but let me clarify.... it's all you can eat of EVERYTHING on the menu... You wanna slam fried calamari all night long? Go for it. Wanna graze on salads and soups all night long? You do you. Once my (outstanding) server got me sqared away on the concept, I waded in. Started with an order of shu mai and fried calamari. The shu mai are downright tiny, but that's okay, since you don't want to tank up on those anyway. They were quite good and were a great start. The fried calamari was some of the better I've had around town. Next up were a couple orders of shashimi, yellowtail and shrimp. Sounds like a lot, but in reality was a couple small (but excellent) bites of each. Now I was ready for the main course. Started with a Shogun roll and a Rising Phoenix roll. The Shogun was good, but the Phoenix was a shade better. Each of these rolls were 8 pieces. Feeling like I still had some room to manuever, I went with the Alaska Beauty roll, which is is packed with a lot of seafood and topped with fresh fish. This roll was also 8 pieces. Seeing the end in sight, but knowing I had a little room to work with, I asked for a Yummy roll and a Mizu roll to wind down my evening. Hands down the Yummy roll was the winner. One of the best rolls I've had in a long time. The Mizu roll was kind of a hot mess in the best possible way. Service was outstanding in all respects. All said and done, the bill ran to $50 with a generous and well earned gratuity. Not something I do very often, but for the occasional treat, Mizu is a definite keeper.

I travel a lot for work and I mostly eat sushi; who am i kidding I only eat the sush! This is my 2nd time in Tulsa and also my 2nd time at Mizu. Do not be fooled that this is an all you can eat because I can assure you this goes above and beyond some of the other more known sushi places that Tulsa has to offer. Both times I've been here and the service was very attentive by the young staff; constantly checking in and seeing I needed more and the kitchen serving up the meals fast not delaying as is the trick some of the other all that you can eat love to pull. The vibe is chill but I feel and hope that the residents of Tulsa take notice of what a great value and experience this holds; I can only imagine this place being packed once it gets more known. I do have to point one major thing that pulled me back here and that is the broiled salmon skin dish; what makes this stand apart from other places is the overall presentation and the lack of the generic iceberg or romaine salad; no chef presents this with a seaweed salad as well as some tempura flakes that really pulls the dish together.

Speaking of flavor, I'm sure the special blended soy sauce played a major part. On top of that, there's chili sauce at the table & that right there has a Shawn Michaels super kick to it. With the bowl being full of chicken along with the other components like fish cake, seaweed, bamboo shoots, green onion & a soft boiled egg (that's also flavored)... it's not even an overload. It's flavor on top of flavor on top of flavor. I couldn't even finish it & took it to-go. My waitress was super nice & the wait on my food didn't take long (they had a mini lunch rush when I got here). Outside of ramen, there's so much to choose from. Whether you're in the mood for ramen, sushi, bowls, etc... this is your spot. I was having a headache & really needed some food to help get rid of it (I was also in the area). The chef and wait staff friendly and always a pleasure. However, the last take out order was not up to par for what we have always experienced with MoJ. We very frequently order the same thing: Sushi Regular and Shrimp Fried Rice, so this was not like a one-off. My husband said the shrimp was hard and when I plated it, it smelled like rancid oil. My sushi had cloudy salmon roe that I have never seen before, and my husband said the tuna tasted very fishy, and he could not eat it. The surf clam piece was chewy and when fresh, it is not chewy. I wish I had taken pictures but nothing _looked_ bad except for the salmon roe. Aside from the decline in quality, the wait staff is mostly new and not friendly. This will affect the ambience. I'm not concerned about decor. That can change. But with unfriendly staff, I am not inclined to dine in to see what else has changed. One guy was abrupt to my husband during a phone call. He said the guy had "a tone." This is not New York where no one should be offended by locals' rapid-fire conversations. This is Oklahoma where people are supposed to be more polite and patient, especially wait staff. While it may seem that I'm being overly critical, please bear in mind that after 20 years of consistent quality, suddenly we get poor quality and unhappy staff. I don't know if ownership has changed or if the previous owner has turned operations over to someone else, but I cannot give MoJ 5 stars anymore.

When going to Memories of Japan, I would recommend getting the Tulsa Fried Bean Curd appetizer (fried tofu). The soft tofu is coated with a thin layer of batter and is then deep fried. The end product is a crunchy coat and super soft silky tofu inside. This fried tofu dish is very different to any other fried tofu elsewhere and it was delicious. The sauce that came with the dish was bland and lacked flavors. The sushi at Memories of Japan were good. The special rolls, Alaska and Florida roll, were $8.95 each. Let me tell you, I haven't seen specialty rolls this cheap. Of course, there are more expensive rolls on the menu. In terms of sushi, Sushi Hana is better and so is Oishi. I liked the decorations inside the restaurant. Nothing extravagant but they made the place look more oriental. Service was excellent. I would say if you are looking for the best sushi, Memories of Japan is not that place. Go to Sushi Hana for that. If you want good sushi that does not cost you an arm or a leg, then you come to the right place. 4 stars plus an extra star for affordability factor.
