I initially wrote this place a decent review, but upon my last two visits, it's been a complete waste of resources on both my part and the restaurants. Please check google reviews for more information about how bad this place can be! Slow wait times, not the best quality food, and overall, overpriced for what it really is. The first decline was when I was sat in a semi-busy section with a young guy, who was completely inattentive to me. Mind you, he was tabbing a large party (8 top) out so I ignored his initial slow service but as they paid, I realized he was behind on their expectations of service as well. He got their tickets wrong and spent a majority of my time in the restaurant fixing his errors on their table. Then as I opened up my napkin, there was a FAKE nail wedged in between the napkin and chopsticks. I was already finished with my appetizer and just switched that set out for the one across from me. Still. That was utterly disgusting. He tried telling me no one on the floor or in the kitchen wears fake nails, because they're all men, but I highly doubt those are the same people setting the places at each table. It was likely one of the hosts. Regardless, it was absolutely disgusting, but could've been a meaningless mistake. As a former server, I get it. Then tonight the server I had ignored me completely and took about 15 minutes to even get me a drink. I hadn't had lunch since 2:30 and it was 7 pm, so I was very irritated. I asked for a water and a hot sake. Then when he got to my table, once again slower than a snail, I already knew what I wanted to order. He then continued to ignore me while he spent most of his time giving all of his attention to two old guys at the bar and basically every other table. Totally pathetic. Everyone else was bringing me my orders, so by the time the final order got to me, I told the staff to keep it and then filled them in on my negative experience. The server then went out of his way to see what was being said, only to argue back with me which is completely crazy. Only a grimy, low class, disgusting establishment like this one would allow such behavior and the manager or higher up I was speaking to should've told him to step away, but allowed him to continue speaking to me negatively. Really sad. Really gross. Please avoid this place and go to Sake2Me up the road. They at least have a standard for their staff and for cleanliness! PS as a former server, I let him know that I'm totally understanding of when someone is busy. It's very obvious when someone is in the weeds but if you have time to giggle and flirt with two old guys at the bar, you have time to run food for your other tables. I still left 20% but the kid honestly didn't deserve a dime of it. read more

We came in tonight for my daughter's birthday dinner. We sat down and waited for 20 minutes I had to go to the front and tell the hostess no one had been to our table yet. A man whom I'm assuming was the manager apologized told us our waiter had just walked out and quit and apparently no one realized he had a table. Then the waiter we did have kept forgetting things we ordered brought things we didn't order to our table. My husband ordered some hibachi we got sick of waiting we just left.. I also had to go to the front to ask for our check. We paid 40 bucks a person to leave hungry and angry. We were offered a 10 percent discount but that wasn't near enough compensation. One of the finest sushi restaurants Tulsa ever had to offer. I love all u can eat cuz it really worth the money and they charge a very small amount for it. I tried other places all u can eat and they all start at least at $49.99/person. They also have kids under 6 are free which is awesome cuz we have 3 little kids who love sushi a lot. I always come here if crave any seafood or sushi. Love their veggie gyozas , crispy rice tuna, kids on fire as an appetizers. Also their onion soup is delicious and if you sick it's a must for u to try it. Such a comfort food the onion soup. My hubby loves all of their sushi rolls, Mizu roll is great, dragon rolls are wonderful, fancy roll is fingers licking. My kids favorite are yaki udon noodles and the yakitori chicken skewers are bomb . We are always gonna be coming here to get the sushi cravings satisfied. read more

The sashimi was above average and the fun creative presentation just really makes the experience memorable. I travel all over the US for work. And made to order AYCE sushi is usually my go-to search when it comes to dinner after a day of work. MIZU is easily in the top 5 of all the AYCE sushi places I've been to across the country. That said, the creme brulee could have used a better caramelized sugar crust. Like Amelie, I like breaking the crust of the hardened sugar. Priced slightly higher than the average. But I don't even mind or care. I'm sad I don't live in Tulsa to be able to eat here more often. But also glad i don't live in Tulsa, because I'd eat here all the time. read more

Third time here since they've been open! Always get the Mizu roll! It's my favorite roll so far! The tuna chips were an appetizer and so good with the ponzu sauce! I visited Mizu tonight for a birthday dinner for a friend, we were a group of about 10 and we were seated at a table kind of in a "nook" of the restaurant, it was a bit more private than the main floor but still open enough that we could see the bar and everything going on. The music was not too loud, it was a great setting. Thi was our waitress and she was AMAZING. She was so agreeable and happy to be there and explain/answer any questions. She was super quick with getting orders in and clearing plates out of the way. Alright, as far as food goes, this was delish. I did the AYCE which is all you can eat which includes everything on the menu. It's about $36, service charge was added for our group so it ended up being $47ish then I left a cash tip on top of that because our waitress Thi was seriously phenomenal. My friend and I went thru all the dishes I ordered and the tab would've been about $90, so the ayce deal is worth itttt. I started off with the tuna crispy rice and yellowtail w jalapeño and bruhhh, that started off strong. The tuna crispy rice is 2 pieces but they're hearty. The yellowtail was the perfect tenderness and flavor. Then I ordered some peppered tuna (unreal) and sashimi, red snapper was my fav. I was feeling brave and tried the white tuna and clam surf, but that was not for me. I ate one of each but I had a hard time with them and Thi was super gracious and said no problem! Instead she suggested I try the salmon carpaccio and it was the perfect suggestion. It was tender and soooo flavorful. I ended up having only one sushi roll bc I wanted to try a bunch of other little plates and not get too full. I had the mouth watering roll and it was great! I tried a bite of my friend's order of crab rangoons (had a sweet flavor) and a bite of the calamari which was done really well. I also tried a bite of the beef tataki and thought that was fabulous. Overall 10/10. If you're wanting to try sashimi and several appetizers I'd suggest the ayce. This was a great experience not just because the food but also because the service was awesome. read more

I'm not a huge fan of AYCE, especially Japanese/sushi AYCE because you never know how fresh of the sashimi/nigiri you're going to get, but after receiving a lot of recommendations from coworkers and friends, I finally caved in and decided to check it out...and it was a pleasant surprise! While their nigiri are a bit heavy on the rice, their sashimi cuts were thick and the fish was fresh. Cream cheese should enhance the flavor of the roll--not DOMINATE and be used as a replacement for the crab meat, tuna or other ingredients. The crab rangoons have zero crab in them. My girlfriend and I ordered 3 rolls, a plate of sashimi, and a bowl of miso soup. The miso soup came out quickly and was pretty good. Next came out the crazy dragon roll. This roll is rate a 4/10. Seriously tasted like fish paste but it was edible and we were starving so we ate it. We then had to wait 20 minutes for our next plate to come out, the sashimi. It was ok, just a little warm and looked a little oily for what I'd normally consider sashimi grade red snapper. We then had to wait another 30 min for our next two rolls to arrive. Keep in mind between the wait for the table, the wait for the server, and the wait for the food we are over an hour into this experience and still very hungry. The omega roll was so bad that I nearly had to spit out my first bite. The spicy tuna on top has the consistency of muddy sand and the shrimp tempura was undercooked. The black dragon roll has improperly deboned eel on it and a huge piece stabbed my girlfriend in the top of the mouth. On top of that the roll was pretty gross at maybe a 2/10. In total we each ate a bite of the black dragon roll, and I only ate one bite of the omega roll. We got the attention of the server, who fortunately was a very nice girl who was doing her best with multiple complaints,and asked her to tell her manager about the issues with our food. I was expecting the two rolls we couldn't eat to be removed from the bill at least though I'm happy to pay for anything we consumed. The waitress comes back with a ticked with 10% off on it. I told her that even though non of it was her fault, I'd still like to talk to the manager because that was unacceptable. She agreed and got the manager for us. Unfortunatly the manager was much less kind. After explaining the issues to her she left and came back with another ticket with a 25% off coupon attached. I expressed my disappointment because that didn't even cover the cost of one of the rolls. I had to flat ask for her to remove the rolls from the bill, to which she finally accepted. We were finally able to pay and leave, after giving the poor waitress a tip because non of it was her fault. Unfortunately that's not where the nightmare ended. When I got home, before I could prepare anything else to eat I got violently sick and vomited for at least 10 minutes to the regrettable taste of the omega roll. If I could give it zero stars I would, but I guess the one star is earned by the poor waitress who really did her best with an absolute shit situation. We will not be back read more

The start of the experience was great! Our waitress was very kind and explained everything clearly, since it was an all you can eat experience. The food, for the most part was also good. The reason for my review being so low is due to the management. My significant other and I overcompensated on what we could eat, due to our late lunch, and had a decent amount of food left. When asked about a Togo box, we were told it was $16 for one. That took us aback, but we accepted it for what it was. Apparently we were told the wrong information due to no fault of our waitress, but the manager of the restaurant handled the situation very POORLY. Her attitude, and body language completely took me back and she also made the staff take money out of their pocket to pay for the mistake that was not clearly conveyed to them. Coming from customers who have been in the service industry and been in this environment, this upset both of us greatly. Arguing and chastising your wait staff publicly is VERY inappropriate, along with the sideways glances and attitude given to the customers who were merely asking based off what they were told. VERY POOR MANAGERIAL SKILLS and sadly will not be coming back due to this experience. read more
