Whether it's pointing out things that they see while they're working on your vehicle (and can show you) or working with you on prioritizing what NEEDS to be fixed versus what can wait a bit, they've always been a great shop over the years. He also noticed that I needed a blinker replaced, which thankfully they had the part for. I was there for maybe 15-30 minutes total, and they replaced both my headlight bulb and blinker for only $100! They responded very quickly, priced fairly, and even provided time slots they had open, so I headed to the shop that same Saturday. When I arrived, they quickly directed me to pull in to start the service. It seems like I had just sat down when they called me back out to show me the the underside of the van. They wanted to know where I'd done the prior oil changes since whoever did them had stripped the tread on the pan from tightening the bolt too tight. I could clearly see that what they were saying was true and the pan had no tread and had been leaking oil this whole time. There really would be no way to do the oil change without also changing the pan. I asked how much that replacement would cost, and told them to go ahead complete the repair along with the oil change. This is my mom's mini van that I was going to drive back down to LA, so definitely wanted to ensure I was safe. I was told it would take 2-3 hours, but was quickly out in about 1.5. They even provided a discount when I paid since the repair was unexpected and fast, which I really appreciate. They pointed out some other concerns, but did not force any repairs on me, which I am grateful for. Will definitely be coming back for any future oil changes and repairs.

My transmission had started slipping in 4th and 5th gear, which made it extremely difficult to drive in automatic, so in the intern I drove my car in the manual option. It worked for a while but at times I would slip gears on the freeway and it became unresponsive when trying to shift gears to catch again. Long story short, I came here based on family recommendation, dealer wanted 10k to put a new transmission in. AAMCO wanted to charge 6k. I was quoted 2.8k for the transmission work to be done. My vacuum pump had been leaking for years so I asked about that. Dealer wanted to charge 2k and Jose charged me only 500. Not bad at all! I took a gamble and let his team do the work... I usually do my own work but obviously I can't do a transmission... unless I have the right equipment. Now my car runs phenomenal! I didn't realize how worn out my transmission was. Granted this "new" transmission is used, it was certified and warrantied so it was rebuilt. Sounds new to me! Car runs amazing and my brakes are more responsive after the vacuum pump change. He is very reasonable and very humble. He has a great team of mechanics who do an excellent job at what they have a talent in. They are ASE certified too if anyone wants to know. I appreciate the work done and will be back if I have any major work I can't do myself. I couldn't be more pleased. He is very reasonable

After explaining the charges for each (which were acceptable based on other rates that I had checked in the area), they got to work and sent me on my way after 25-30 minutes. Impressive stuff. As an added bonus, the waiting room is quite spacious with comfortable leather couches. They have a couple of light snacks, water, and coffee as well.
