Food: Incredible, by far some of the highest quality pastries I've ever had. It's a treat for the eyes and the soul. The almond croissant is the best, I refuse to believe there's a better one out there. Today I also got this black thing that looks so questionable but it's supposed to resemble a vanilla bean pod. It's absolutely a piece of art and delightful. Service: Fast! They get through customers at an impressive speed and always manage to smile and explain the food you're confused by. Ambiance: This could be their best location. It's huge, the parking situation is awesome and it's a beautiful spot overall. I've been to every location but the Detroit one and I truly think this might be the ideal spot for it. Chef Matt Knio opened this latest cafe on February 20th and it's a massive hit. Because it's located off the beaten path, there is plenty of parking. We arrived after noon on a Saturday and it was packed. The amazing bakery smells hit you when you enter the door and are followed by a cornucopia of amazing delights that make your eyes happy. We waited in line for someone to take our pastry/food order and were thankful for that time. There is SO much goodness to choose from! For me, I can't pass up an authentic Belgian Waffle (I hate places that claim their fluffy fat waffles are Belgian when they are not) so I ordered the Choco Waffle while my husband got a Cherry Almond Croissant to go. He also got a Bacon Egg and Cheese Croissant Sandwich and we both got Latte's - mine with chocolate and his with vanilla. Everything tasted divine and that sandwich? Wow. It also had tomatoes and lettuce added to the egg and Gruyère cheese...full of taste on a light and crispy croissant. It also comes with a savory sauce to dip it in. You can't go wrong with any choice you make here, I'm sure. You will pay for this indulgence but it is well worth it. Glad they are close by - we will return! read more

Early on a Sunday afternoon people walking out reported they waited 35 minutes in line from where I was, so seeing an online order was only 15 minutes, I placed an order and beat the line. That meant I didn't get to browse their beautiful display of baked goods. The descriptions on their online ordering are almost non-existent for most items. I had the ham and cheese, which was excellent, but I have a bell pepper allergy and didn't realize the dressing on the sandwich is a "house red pepper dressing" (my fault - it's one of the items with a clear description) so I only ate one bite of the best thing we ordered. My wife had the ham and Asiago croissant which was very good. For dessert she had the Cherry Croissant, which was not very cherry and was not flaky. I had the Apple Croissant. The filling is fantastic with great flavor, and firm chunks of apple, but this croissant, while better than the cherry, is more bready than flaky. Their chocolate chip cookies had lots of chocolate, but even though my preference is for chewy cookies, this seemed under cooked. The seeded sourdough and the brioche are both excellent. While I haven't had the same items, I've been to other MK Cannelle locations and thought it was excellent. This was not the same quality. Will try again and will hopefully have reason to update! read more

Both the almond croissant and the chocolate pistachio croissant were incredible. The pastries were buttery, flaky and full of flavor without being overly sweet. The staff were so kind and welcoming, which I really appreciated. I can't wait to come back and try more of their pastries, easy five stars! read more

OMG BECKY if you want the closest thing to European pastries this is the place. I heard about it at work. I had to check it out for my tastebuds. I was super impressed by the case of yuminess in front of me. My mouth has not watered that hard in a long time. It reminded me of Greece last year. We ordered two coffees, a mozzarella sandwich, lemon pastry and an apple one. The pastries are so beautifully created it was a shame to destroy such a beautiful piece of food. The taste was simply delicious, not too sweet and so airy. I am so glad we went today. The coffee was outstanding. I highly recommend that you at least go once. It is worth the money you will spend. Been here several times since recently opened. LOVE the location. They have been fairly busy every time. I have loved everything I have tried except personal preference I did not care for the Le Saucisson breakfast sandwich as it is not with salami but with kielbasa (the menu lists as such). My favorite items have been the ham and cheese sandwich, the leek and cream cheese croissant, the coffee crisp and bacon and Gruyère croissant. Absolutely love the decor, location, fireplace and service. EVERYONE is so helpful and nice. Beautiful pastries and tasty. Coffee delicious. Extended hours. Highly recommend. The setup of this shop causes a lot of disruption for customers ordering. The employees inside the case did not assist several customers around me, which resulted in people skipping the line to go directly to the register. There is hardly any space to wait for your coffee while it's being made, and the employees do not help with traffic flow when questioned. The macron I purchased was very good, but was the only gluten free item available. My coffee was quite small for a medium and cost over $6 read more

This location is so new it's not even on Yelp yet! Located in the former Paint Creek Cider Mill, this French-inspired pastry shop is a hidden gem. Cannelle has every pastry your heart may desire plus breads, sandwiches, salads, coffee and tea. Quick service, but I bet once the word gets out the line will be out the door. I ordered the almond croissant, which they warmed and a cappuccino. At $13 it's pricey, but you're paying for quality. Hope this place gets added to Too Good to Go. I'll be back to enjoy a pastry by their cozy fireplace. read more

The sandwich is really good and the cake is also delicious, but for some reason, the drinks are subpar... I didn't like the cappuccino I ordered last time, and the tea latte my wife ordered was way too cold, and because of that, the tea flavor was not coming out from the tea bag at all... I absolutely love this new bakery in Goodison! Right on the beautiful paint creek trail. They did a beautiful job fixing up the paint creek cider mill! Food is delicious. My favorites are the pistachio roll and pastry. I also love the bacon egg and cheese on the focaccia. read more

Despite having a lengthy Sunday morning line, the service was welcoming and friendly and everything was efficient and timely. A friend and I ordered 6 pastries and a coffee and enjoyed them both in house and to go. They warmed up our tomato basil mozzarella croissant, as well as the bacon Gruyère croissant and they were both amazing. I've had the chocolate almond croissant many times from multiple MK locations and it never disappoints. Today was the first time I tried the cherry croissant and it might be a new favorite. My review is not so much about the quality of food, but about the establishment itself. Went on a crowded Saturday afternoon for lunch. The line was long, and the help was sparse. The set up does not allow time to peruse the huge offering of pastries, which was frustrating. There were also no descriptors written for any of them, so you were left guessing what was inside the beautiful offerings. I felt pressured, and so I ordered a piece of quiche and a plain croissant. Probably not what I would have bought had I more time to look. I asked the server for a glass of milk. She asked me numerous times "hot or iced?" Now that's not a question I would expect, or have ever been asked when ordering milk. I finally said, "I am not ordering coffee. I just want a glass of cold milk." That seemed to get through to her. The whole exhange was bizarre. The quiche was very good, but the pastry had an odd taste to it that I didn't care for. The croissant was pretty standard, much like I would get anywhere that served them. I may go back on a less crowded day, but I have to say the prices are a big barrier to me. The pastries ranged $7-10 each. I understand they are quite artful, but that kind of price really hurts me financially. I may have to leave it to the bougie Rochester residents. read more
