Tried this spot tonight and was very disappointed. We opted for the Dubai chocolate bar, which was a small filled bar for $25. My wife enjoyed it - I found it bland and disappointing. Luckily, i had also gotten a slice of the lotus biscoff cheesecake. I have no idea what was done to this cheesecake, but we both ate one bite and threw the rest out. We decided to try out this Mid East bakery. They had lots of cakes for the ready. We got one of the regular pistachio baklava, a chocolate pistachio baklava, a pistachio finger and a pistachio nest or basket. The pistachio basket was really tasty, but my ultimate favorite was the regular pistachio baklava. The chocolate pistachio baklava is a little too sweet for me as was the Pistachio finger. I could definitely taste the rosewater in the pistachio finger. The best overall flavor was definitely the regular pistachio baklava. My husband liked the pistachio baklava and the pistachio chocolate baklava best. read more

Sad to say it but coming here I felt pretty offended! They have no prices anywhere it's almost like they make their own prices instead of having it displayed. I got a few pieces of baklava which is extremely expensive for the amount you get. And then I went to go pay( mind you I just came from the bank to get money for the weekend and have my receipt from the bank) I gave them two Crisp $10 bills that the bank gave me and they accuse me of it being fake I had to laugh in their face and they wouldn't take the money so I had to pay with a really dirty crumbly $20 bill! I had a Lebanese friend back in Texas whose parents owned a Lebanese deli and bakery near my house, and let me tell you I truly believe I have a found a place that could potentially outperform them. They have all sorts of pastries, including baklava and ladyfingers. Also, they had spinach pies and Zaatar bread! Both of which were delicious and reasonably priced ($4 for the spinach pie and Zaatar bread). The pastries are a bit pricey but it is definitely worth the price. I'm sad I live an hour away from this place, but I will definitely be coming back sometime! My recent mission; find the best baklava to sample judge and transport home to Nevada. This place was my winner! See I moved away from Michigan years ago and now live in a baklava-less wasteland. My criteria was packaging, value and all important.. taste! How well packaged? Check the photo, this is "the after" ... after 27 hr 2,000+ miles of driving in a packed car (didn't fly folks) . How fresh was it? I waited to dig into this collection. Almost a week and a half after purchasing (scandalous I know). The Baklava was buttery, crisp, unbelievably fresh, almost supernaturally delicious. Extra points for the dense concentration of pistachio, walnut, cashew and hazelnuts in each style. Also note the dusting pistachio isn't dyed that artificial green "St.Paddy's" color.. I appreciate that! Pistachio baklava is awesome! We got a tray and it is so tempting to sit and eat and eat. I don't know if there is any real different in each baklava other than shape ( the cups wit the nuts is different, for sure). The tray we got are sugar free. Sweetened by the honey (or is it agave?), these treat are just perfect. Not overly sweet like the baklava I usually get from the Greek place near me in DC. I spent $22.15 cash for six small pastries. They were so old and dry I put honey on them to moisten when I got home. I failed. The pastries look good but are stale. I was not welcome there. We randomly came here after Korean BBQ the other night - it's in the same plaza, and we were craving dessert. What's funny is that the KBBQ place apparently doesn't have any dessert options anymore, because most people just go here afterwards. They had a huge selection of desserts. I ended up with a piece of baklava, which I think was about $2.50 (very reasonable!) and they also had empanada-looking things filled with cheese, as well as a large variety of pastries and cookies. They require $10 minimum for credit card, but after we chose about 6 items and it was only about $6.50 still, they took pity on us cashless souls and let us charge it. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. The lady behind the counter acted like I was an inconvenience because I wasn't sure on exactly what I wanted. I asked some questions about the desserts to help me decide what I wanted, and she seemed extremely annoyed. I felt like I was being rushed and there was no one else in there! Another customer then walks in and she looked at her and looked back at me and said "So are you done? Can I go help her?" Extremely rude. Absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life. The lady did not great me when I entered nor did she even tell me my total for what I purchased. I had to ask her if the amount shown on the register was my total. She spent the whole time I was in the store on the phone with her earbuds in. I gave her my charge card and she went to the credit card terminal to process my payment. When she came back to the counter to give me my charge card back, not a single word. I will never go back to this pastry shop again and I encourage everyone who reads this review to skip this pastry shop. There are plenty of other shops to give your business to. I was able to try their pistachio and walnut baklava which was delicious. It was flaky, sweet, and nutty. At first, I took a bite and thought it was so sweet and put it back, but quickly came to have a second but to which I finished it off! Racist remarks and horrible service! My mom has been purchasing sweets from this location for 20 years, but after today's horrible and hurtful experience we will not be going back there ever again. When I came this morning to pick up two cakes, they looked perfect. Unfortunately, the lady at the counter packed them into boxes that were too small, and the bows on both cakes got crushed. I asked for them to fix the cakes, but I was told to stop complaining because they had given me a discount (which was news to us) and hence we were getting the bows for free. After several attempts at pleading with the young lady she eventually relented, and said they could replace the fondant bows with artificial flowers. You could still see the marks where the bows were, but this was the only solution since there wasn't enough time to get cakes from somewhere else. I then asked for a discount given I wasn't getting what I paid for. The owner then came out and started yelling at me, saying I should be happy to get such a great price for a messed up cake, and the young lady who damaged the cakes said, "YOU PEOPLE always do this to us, you just try to hustle us." I then asked what she meant by, "YOU PEOPLE", and the owner scurried her into the back of the kitchen. They gave me $10 back (this was a $200 order), and I left with my messed up cakes. read more

Its not a big bakery but when I walked in I noticed how clean and organized it was there were so many goodies to choose from to pick from there almond cookie is so so good and they have mini cakes available also and of course baklava. The lady who helped me was super nice I wanted to try everything my eyes were on sensory overload. I got a few items to go I told you I needed to sample a little bit of everything. I didn't eat everything alone my family helped me sample the desserts our favorite was the marble cake, strawberry cake the cannoli and almond cookie.
