I'm updating my review and taking down two stars because of inconsistent service. I've scheduled cleanings with MK several times, basically once a month. I've usually gotten the same two women every time, but one time I needed a cleaning short notice and I scheduled a morning cleaning. Two men came instead and the cleaning was really unsatisfactory. Dirty dishes were still left in the living space and instead of putting away garbage they just picked it up and set it down somewhere else. They also wore shoes inside my house and the ladies always took them off. What's the point of cleaning someone's house if you're going to be stepping everywhere with your shoes afterwards? I live in a studio with a huge carpet in the middle of the living space too, which made it worse. This isn't something you can just take a mop too if someone tracks snow or mud into the house. read more

I have to say, while the women we're incredibly kind and sweet, I was definitely underwhelmed with the cleaning- particularly given the stellar reviews. First off, the cleaning was scheduled for 730 and they arrived at 8. I imagine that they were coming from pretty far and they were so sweet when they arrived that it didn't bother me too much other than I had actually assumed that the cleaning was cancelled when I didn't hear from anyone. Until the owner kept calling me around 8am to say they had arrived as if I had been keeping them waiting or something. I had texted to schedule the entire cleaning so, it just seemed strange to me that I wouldn't receive a text or call to let me know they were running late. Anyway, the women spoke only Portuguese so communicating was challenging. I had asked for a move-in/deep clean- but the girls thought I was moving out which caused some minor confusion at first around what to do with things that I had unpacked. My place is old and dingy so I was super excited to get a deep cleaning so I could start to feel at home and nest. I had explained when scheduling that some things (such as the fridge and microwave) didnt need to be cleaned so instead it would be great if other things (such as he cabinets and dishwasher) could be cleaned instead. However, the cabinets never got cleaned and even some parts of the cleaning that are supposed to be included (like windows/mirrors, etc.) I either had to remind them to do or they didnt get done. Had I known that things would have been overlooked, I would have printed out a list of what the service included to check everything off before they left, which honestly I don't think I should have to do. Going back to the deep cleaning aspect, like I mentioned earlier, the apartment is older so certain areas such as the bathroom need a lot of TLC. While they definitely did clean and organize, I was really underwhelmed how little of a difference it seemed to make. I think the mop they used was a swiffer which is really not for deep cleanings and for the shower, it basically looked 100% the same before and after. Even my bathmats still require an additional clean. Although I wasn't thrilled with the service initially, because the girls were so nice I was prepared to just suck it up and move on. However, i'm now in the process of scheduling another deep/move-in clean which is frustrating after paying almost $300. I just didnt feel like there was much attention to detail or elbow grease put in. I will say, the girls did do a pretty good job removing some nasty carpet stains though with their carpet cleaning service which was great. UPDATE: I'm changing my review from 2 stars to 1 for the consistently bad service received from the owner Maico. I was pretty shocked that minutes after posting my honest opinion of these services I was again contacted by him- but not to apologize or ask me how to improve his business. Instead he wanted to argue with me over things that are clear fact such as how much I paid: ($280) which he arrogantly tried to accuse me of lying when I stated in my review I paid "near $300." I'll let you decide on that one... Instead of acknowledging that his staff was late and that i asked for a move in clean (again all of this in writing) he tells me that I asked for a move out and that he would appreciate me updating my review. Well, here ya go!! Happy to be of service. 2nd UPDATE: Owner continues to harass me via text and make up claims, including that I'm lying to get back money (I'm a lawyer and make over six figures- I don't care about the money, but do care about people being misled to think this is some great service by the overly positive reviews) and what my house looked like when he was never there. Disgusting part is that they used the same piece of cleaning cloth to wipe the toilet and wash basin. Very easy to get an estimate, and reasonably priced. I wanted a deep cleaning of my entire home and got 2 cleaners who came on time. Surface level, they cleaned the house extremely well. Cons- It was a little confusing to book them since they send you multiple texts and screen shots of your conversation. After the cleaners left, I noticed they didn't clean under my couch, bed and floor rug. So if using them, make sure to inspect the rooms after cleaning! I sent them a note on Monday hoping they could do a post-construction clean on my house on short notice. Maico replied within minutes and gave me a quote to have two women clean. And they were able to come first thing on Friday, which happened to be the day after thanksgiving. The two women showed up on time and got right to work. They wiped down everything, even inside cabinets and in the fridge and window sills. They were so thorough! Neither of them spoke great English, but we were able to communicate when I had to turn off the water for an unrelated emergency in the middle of their job. I have used their service before covid and decided to use them again now that I'm comfortable letting people in my house again. This time the cleaning crew used bleach which caused stains in several of my bathroom's metal fixtures. I immediately pointed this to their attention while they were still at my house. The Crew did not speak English and it was very hard to communicate with them. however, I realized they were denying the stains were caused by them because they kept shaking their heads when I pointed out the stains. I immediately contacted the owner who kept telling me the stains were not due to bleach. I told the owner the stains only appeared on the fixtures after the crew started cleaning. Finally, owner said crew will come back another day to try to get the stains off. Now, I know that the longer stains remain on the fixtures, the harder it is to remove them so I just took it upon myself to take action with some Wd-40 which I thought could work. After treating the stains, I was able to get rid of most except for the one in the bathtub. I informed the owner of this and after a lot arguing, I was told there was nothing they could do to remove the stain. I told them that I would be ok if they just give me credit off the cleaning fee which they declined. Needless to say - I would not be using their service again. They also missed cleaning a lot of spots In my house which I had to call their attention to. In house cleaning business, clients count on honesty, accountability and reliability of not only the cleaning crew but also their management. This clearly not the case for this company.
