    Chicken burrito, beef empanadas
    Tiffany B.

2026 update: we look forward to coming here every year and every year we're just as happy at the first time. Absolutely worth the repeat visits! The food is so fresh and delicious. The burritos are huge and filling. The plantains are a must and the chicken is so flavorful. Honestly we haven't had anything that we haven't loved.

The food was amazing. We had the Peruvian chicken, rice, fried yucca, and empanadas. Some of the best food we've had in our trip. Would definitely recommend. The service was great. Very welcoming ambiance.

Another delicious meal at Mmm Que Rico! Clean and inviting restaurant, friendly staff and great service. The chicken is delicious and well seasoned, the yellow rice is great, and the sauces are amazing!

Loved my assortment of tacos. Got my son to try a Tamales. Chicken was good. Would return for tacos.

Came in on my lunch break for my first time. Staff was super nice and the Maracuyá juice " passion fruit" was really nice. Food portions are great. Would definitely recommend

Smoky Chicken That Needs No Sauce!…read more We popped into Papi's Peruvian Chicken on a Sunday, hoping to beat the church crowd, but it turns out, the real blessing was waiting inside. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot, my buddy leaned over and said, "Man, someone's smoking something and it smells delicious." When we stepped inside, his grin got even bigger as he turned to me and said, "It's this place, great choice!" We both went for the smoked dark quarter with street corn salad. My buddy chose green beans, and I went with the Inca pork beans. I asked the woman at the counter to recommend a sauce, and she took the time to explain each one, patiently answering all my basic questions. It turns out, the chicken didn't need any sauce at all. It was smoky, moist, and packed with flavor--crispy on the outside with a deep, wood-fired taste that lingered with every bite. The Inca pork beans were hearty and full of flavor, a solid sidekick to the main event. The street corn salad, while fresh, could have used a bit more kick--maybe a sprinkle of cheese or a dash of lime to brighten it up. The interior's industrial strip mall vibe is functional but could benefit from a few authentic touches--like Peruvian art or music--to match the rich flavors coming out of the kitchen. If you're craving smoky, fall-off-the-bone chicken, Papi's Peruvian Chicken is worth the trip. I'll definitely be back to try more!

Most people enter the bar entrance where the small patio area is .. but on the other side of the patio is the main entrance where you are created by the host stand .. You would never know how big this place is from the outside but once in... its like one of the hamster cage cages with never ending tunnels to different rooms/area... RSVP are definitely suggested since walkins are usually in Bar area or Patio area .. which isnt bad .. but its limited seating .. Staff here are cool but service can be a lil wait if they are busy . Menu is a Panamanian vibe with lots of good eats .. One of the salsas you must get is the Elote salsa its very nommm nommmm next would be the Goat Gauc which is equally amazing. The Ceviche is a must get ... yes get the Quattro which is 4oz of each one so you can sample all ! The scallops and pork belly of mash is pretty good but would be better over the coconut rice . The special of the day was a sheepshead filet over risotto which was pretty damn good ! The corvina was ok but was a little bit over done and ended up a lil drier than expected. Highly recommend asking for the homemade hot sauce ... its amazing and goes on everything! This is definitely a locals Hotspot and an interesting place to people watch... Will definitely comeback for sure .

The tortillas are really hard, difficult to eat and not very good though :( Ahi tuna was seared (not raw like I asked for) and the tortilla was burnt. Half wasn't edible... Coconut rice is sublime. Id go again but make different choices.

From the second we walked in, we felt the vibe -- super clean, beautifully decorated, and full of that energy that tells you "yeah, this place is gonna hit." The food? Legit authentic. Not that watered-down tourist stuff. Everything had real flavor -- like someone's abuela was back there blessing each plate. My mom said the seasoning reminded her of her aunt's cooking back in Puerto Rico -- and that's saying something, because her aunt doesn't play. Drinks were next level. I ordered a margarita and they brought me what looked like a whole bucket of joy. I literally said out loud "¡Papi, bring me another!" Vacation mode was fully activated. The staff? Super friendly, super cool. Spoke Spanish with us, cracked jokes, made us feel at home like we were regulars even though it was our first time. Beautiful spot, authentic food, great people, and good vibes all around. My parents are already talking about coming back next weekend -- and we live 4 hours away.

When we return we likely either wouldn't order alcohol or would order a non -cocktail. For the price ($14-$15) one of my drinks was initially made incorrectly and I was given the wrong thing- and my replacement drink was truly just straight lime juice. The servers are great but they also make drinks and it seemed like to me that maybe there was too much going on for some of them. Our server seemed very overwhelmed and I watched her squeeze a bottle of coconut cream with clearly nothing in it into a cocktail shaker multiple times when most tiki style drinks contain coconut. So just a cautionary tale that the food is excellent but I wouldn't order cocktails, it's just hard to justify the prices when they are pretty subpar. Our hostess was fantastic the entire time, super attentive and on top of everything. You'd never guess how packed they were based on how smoothly everything ran.
