As a new (to me) MINI owner, I was not sure what to expect when it was time to get the oil changed and have routine maintenance done. Manny was patient and explained everything to me. I always took my mini cooper to Mini of Plano for service, but they closed down, so when my engine light came on, I found this place. Big Mistake! I paid them $1000, and one week later my engine light came back on. I went back, and this time they wanted $2000 more. They misdiagnosed the problem, but would not return my money. I gathered up all my paperwork from mini plano, and it turns out they replaced a brand new part that I had replaced less than a year ago. I have a 2005 Mini Cooper S that was not starting consistently after I turned it off. I would go into store, come back out and car would not start. It would either blow a fuse or have to sit for about 30 mins before it would crank back up. I took my mini to Motoworx in Frisco and left it with Manny. It took a little time to diagnose the issue, but I'm more than pleased with their work.. long story short it was a wire coming off the starter that was arching and shorting out and blowing a fuse. Manny and his crew relocated the cable/wire and re-insulated the wire and I have not had any more issues with it. Motoworx does great work and I'm very pleased with the result.. that's the only place I take my mini to. read more

Found this place when using Google to find someone near me that knows what they are doing with these quirky little cars. Used to take it to MINI of Plano but they closed. Had several issues with oil and coolant leaks so I called and brought it in and Manny and Levi explained everything thoroughly and in an easy to understand way with no pressure. They ordered the parts and got her back up and running again. Manny even offered to deliver the car to the house since the repair went into the next day. I went and picked it up anyway but that just goes to show you how much they care about the customer. So glad to have this specialty shop so close by. I spent hours on Google/making phone calls with nearby dealerships that work on MINI's and local mechanics that would only say they could 'check it out' but no one was as responsive and knowledge as Manny was when I reached out to him. I had been having issues with my BMW for over a month. I kept getting a fuel supply message and the car would stall. I was able to identify that the issue was my Fuel Pump or Fuel Pump module. Both parts would cost a couple of hundred dollars. In my quest to get to the root cause without spending a couple hundred dollars on a part that would not fix the issue I found Manny. I contacted him and we had an actual discussion about the issue I was having, he wasn't like most repair places that say just bring it in and will we look at it. He was able to tell me over the phone it was the Low Pressure Fuel Pump. Fast forward, Manny has my car and plugs it up to his computer and connects the Fuel Pressure test gauge to the car. As the car is running he looks over to the pressure gauge and tells me the car is about to stall, within a minute it stalls. He then goes to his car and grabs a huge pry bar. He then asks me to start the car again. He walks over to the passenger side rear and he disappears. He yells start the car, I press the button, the car is hesitating to start as it does after it stalls. I then hear two loud thuds on the car and the car starts. He gets up and says its my fuel pump. That moment solidified for me that Manny is a legit mechanic and knows these cars. After ordering, installing the parts and saving what could have been easily $ 2,000.00, my car is running smooth and no Fuel Supply messages are popping up.
