I'm reviewing the experience of coming here for a state inspection (just emissions since safety isn't a thing anymore). An auto shop has no business looking this good. The waiting area is the nicest I have ever seen and has some soft drinks, a Keurig, and lollipops for the kids. It smells amazing, is nicely decorated, and has comfortable seating. The staff is very friendly. From my chat with them, they don't do body work or transmission rebuilds (but will do replacement). I am not speaking to the quality of their work since I'm not familiar with anything beyond the inspection, but would absolutely get a quote from them if it means I can sit here and get some work done! read more

I am very happy with my first experience with Baker's Spring Valley Automotive. I recently found myself in a situation where I needed to make a long road trip unexpectedly. The problem came from there being some maintenance on my vehicle that I had not yet gotten to, and yet I wanted it done before I embarked on a twelve hundred mile journey. I had inquired at the garage who normally does my maintenance and they could not get me in for a few days and that would have been too late. I spoke with Baker's and they assured me they could not only get the work done the same day, but could also have it down in a few hours. I bought a new car in Jan. 2024. When I took it to the dealership in November for my second free oil change, they recommended three suggested services: an air filter replacement, a wheel alignment, and a/c service. I called Baker's today to see if they would give me a better price on the first service, and learned that I probably didn't need any of those just yet. Jacob said I could bring my car in any time and they'd pull the air filter in a couple of minutes to see if it was indeed dirty enough to need replacing, and that it seemed unlikely that I'd need an alignment already but that they could look at that as well. He could easily have just scheduled the services, and I am so grateful for his honesty. My husband and I bring both our cars here for needed services, and their integrity is a big reason we do. read more

I have a 1999 Mercedes SL500 that the dealer in Grapevine couldn't repair because Mercedes "stopped making the required parts". That is after they quoted very high repair costs. I ended up at Baker's and found them to be fair, capable and willing to back up their work. I spent the same amount of money but got quite a few more items updated. Jacob was very responsive with phone calls and texts and addressed all of my concerns. I am now a customer for life. read more

I have a 1987 Chevrolet Silverado that I brought in and they replaced a starter to the tune of $600.00 and change which I thought was rather excessive. I should have shopped around and paid they price. I will not go back. read more

I'm so happy I found this place! The other reviews on here are totally on point, these guys are amazing! I originally took my car here after another place quoted me on brakes that seemed unreasonable. These guys assessed my vehicle found that actually I only needed the front brakes replaced, not all of them. What I really love about Baker's is that they give you a health report of your car. It lays out everything that's good and what needs attention in order of severity so you can prioritize what is the most urgent and what can wait. Jared is always helpful. I have taken my car here for my brakes and suspension. I have also taken my husband's car here for an oil and filter change, and he is going to have a side mirror repaired that a FedEx truck broke. Any time I call, Jared orders whatever is needed and has it in right away. They are super thorough and dependable, and I know my car is in good hands when they're taking care of it. I had a positive experience with the service and folks at Baker's Spring. I came in for a wheel alignment and pre-owned car inspection, both quoted at $120. They were very straightforward with responding to my concerns and provided me with honest feedback on how I should proceed with deciding what services to use. They also did their own due diligence on determining whether or not I needed these services. I did not feel pressured to add additional services and felt well respected by their staff. In the area, there are several other auto mechanic shops, e.g. Firestone, right next door. Firestone offers a lifetime wheel alignment for $180, you may decide to go to Firestone but I ended up at Baker's Spring anyway with hopes of better and timely service with less hassle at which Baker's Spring did not disappoint. The other auto shops in the area also quoted closely with Baker's Spring. When I came in about 30 minutes after they opened, they noticed I had my mask on (which I use during allergy season) they immediately put theirs on as well, which speaks to their level of consideration for their customers. Google reviews have really outstanding reviews on Baker's Spring, so I was a bit suspicious when I saw none here in Yelp. I am happy to report they did not attempt to bribe me with placing a positive review. You may decide to save money somewhere else, but oftentimes it is not without cost. Trustworthy auto shops are hard to come by, even more so that have adopted modern standards by providing their customers with a high level of information and friendly service.
